There's your answer. Assuming the company pays its writers 50% of what they charge (which would be high for scam operations like this), the highest a writer could make--for "Ph.D. level" work delivered in 6 hours, is under $13/page. More typically, they'd be making $5/page. If you think there are qualified US/UK writers willing to work for so little, you are sorely mistaken.

The biggest mistake anybody will make is using affordablewriting.net. i once used them for my BA thesis, first of all, the whole thesis was copied online. i was almost expelled from school. and when i asked them for a refund of my money. i was told the money is not refundable. trust me..they are scammers.. if you try using them, just know that you have been scammed already

Yes they are a scam site.
They sent me a completely plagiarized paper and when I asked for a refund they continued to ignore me and send me revised papers that had nothing to do with the assignment outline, had extremely poor English and was repetitive.

I continued to ask for refunds and they continued to make excuses for why I wasn't eligible for a refund.
So I escalated the claim with paypal and then AffordableWriting.net sent me an email threatening me.

This is absolutely disgraceful. When you placed an order with them you would have agreed to terms and conditions, one of which should have been regarding confidentiality on their part, so if I were you I would check this out and prevent them from doing this to you.

Also if you are in the UK pursue them through the small claims court its amazing how effective this system is - even just threatening this can usually yield results with companies.

Best of luck.

Unfortunately they are not a UK or USA based company as they claim. They are in India. And I wouldn't be surprised if it was just one guy running the show as they seem to have no experience what so ever in writing papers. Its just a copy and paste job from the internet.

I've escalated the claim with paypal and I guess that's what has upset them, but I'm not going to let my money go to waste on a scam.

Just be careful, don't let them get anyone else and spread the word about their website.

Just a quick note. I sent the below email to them. And an hour later they had refunded my money and settled the dispute via paypal.

Lesson learnt, if you are overwhelmed with study, ask for an extension... Don't ever think that there's some ligit website out there that can help you.

The email:

"If you attempt to inform my university or use my personal information in any possible way I will take you to court.
It is a breach of your privacy policy and goes against the terms and conditions of your website.
The email you sent below was completely unprofessional and extremely hurtful to your case.
I have gathered all the information on your company including IP address and I am ready to take this case to a small claims court and sue you."

Thank you karen_criticalproof for your advice :)

When a service is "goddamn cheap", then you cannot expect any quality to come out of their finished product. Always remember that you have to pay for quality. More importantly, you need to base their hiring on their reputation and student recommendations. You do not want to go partnering with them on a paper only to learn a lesson the hard way. No reviews to be found? No comments? Not on the DND list of ES? It will be best for you not to make any sort of contact with them. No writing company should be without some sort of history.

When a writing company claims to have over 700+ writers who are deemed as "experts" in various fields, I tend to see this as an exaggerated claim that means only one thing, the company does not provide quality writing services. Why? By admitting that they have writers based worldwide, that means the majority of their writers are ESL, which can only mean that any ESL person can work for this company. They do not care about the educational attainment of their writers, or whether they can actually write in a field that they claim to be experts in. They just care about keeping the seats filled in the writer's pool. Nothing more. I would not deal with any company that tries to convince me that their global writers pool is not composed of ESL non-professionals misrepresenting themselves, trying to write about topics they have no true knowledge and hence, skills to write about. in any manner.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.

Readers should definitely take a quick look at the website in question. It provides a perfect example of why a beautiful, high-end, flashy website with a fully automatic ordering system, phone number, and "chat assistants" means absolutely nothing in terms of credibility, legitimacy, or reliability. Some of the worst scam sites in this industry deliberately put a lot of money into exactly this type of website, because it's designed to suck you in based on the assumption that there must be a correlation between the apparent quality of the website and the quality of the services that the company actually provides. In fact, check out the website of just about every company revealed elsewhere on this forum to be a total scam and/or a blackmailer, and if it's still in existence, you'll find only very similar, professional-looking websites.
