It looks like Africa is the new battlefront in the "custom essay writing war". Like most writers I sometimes search Google looking for things I had written in the past (out of sheer curiosity). I was shocked to see that an essay I wrote like 3 years ago was posted as a "Free Sample" on several sites based in Africa. I was confused as to how this happened but was paid for it and really don't care where they end up once I am compensated. I read a few of the sites and noticed that they all have the same copy & pasted content (SEO FAIL). I had to laugh when I saw that most of the content is stolen from other "industry leaders" and that the genius who made the sites even left the names of a few sites in the stolen content! Who knows how many other sites this guy has littered with fowl and broken English? I am sure the village essay mill can blast out that dissertation with perfection and proper citations?

Let it be known that there is yet another scammer trying to fool students.

Well the owner of the site always wanted to be a "Professional Mambo Dancer" but in Kenya dancing in the mambo style is strictly forbidden. Violators caught mambo dancing are put in a cage and poked with sharp sticks by school children. OK, I made that part up! The truth is that the guy owns a company called Mambo Microsytems that provides Reseller and Dedicated web hosting plans. Somewhere along the way (like every other yahoo) he thought he could make some fast money on the essay business. That my friends is the story of the infamous mamboessays.

Who is this guy who has all the time verifying websites and their owners origin. To me what really matters is quality. Native or Non Native, the bottom line is quality. Hey, supawriter, for what sites do you write?

Have you been anywhere else on this forum? Ukrainian companies are trashed repeatedly, as are the Pakistani ones. This thread is about the merging African companies. "it's a small world, after all" EVERYBODY! "it's a small world. after all..."

No one here mentioned race or genetics. american_writer noted that an essay he had written had been STOLEN and ILLEGALLY POSTED on several websites that he then found out were of African origin. This is PRECISELY about QUALITY, LEGALITY, LEGITIMACY, and FRAUD, and not about race or anything else. It would be wrong for a US company to do this, and they would be prosecuted and shut down. It is hard (near impossible) for the same prosecution to be carried out in countries like the Ukraine, Pakistan (though there was success here), and many developing nations in...Africa!

My quote from one of these company's websites was also meant to indicate the POOR QUALITY of the site, as it shows an obvious error committed by an EFL writer who doesn't have the skills to write properly. Your posts suggest the same thing--English that is perfectly good enough to get by in everyday conversation, but isn't up to par with academic writing.

Supawriter probably personalised the issue and tried to play around with the thread's intent and meaning for 1 reason: s/he is from Kenya, as are the sites mentioned above. I rather believe that s/he is associated with the `gems.'

Shocker: the sites were designed by "Mambo Microsystems" (mambo.co.ke), a design site from Kenya. In fact, "Mambo Microsystems" probably owns all of these fake essay sites because it advertises "Melda Research Solutions" and "Mambo Essays" as "business partners" (see mambo.co.ke/partners.htm).

Why, one of the persons on the main graphic image may be from Kenya so the site reveals its true identity ;). On a serious note, hopefully the search engines won't seriously start indexing and including such second-hand .us, .info, .biz etc. domains; there may be some copyright issues too.

With regards to copyright, doesn't Google have a policy of not indexing duplicates, or something? Have come across a number of sites which are completely, 100%, plagiarised from others. Yet - they insist that the research projects they provide are plagiarism-free and thoroughly checked via `special software,' created just for them.
