This "team" of blackmailers are threatening to expose me to my school for using their services to complete some assignments. Yes they have proof, yes I have paid in the past, no they will not leave me alone. Never pay blackmailers, they won't stop. I tried to ignore them then they actually emailed the school, or at least it looked like a really good fake email. Not sure what else to do at this point.

Thanks for posting the email addresses of the blackmailing team. That will definitely come in very handy as students look for reliable services through this forum.

May I ask why you believe that they developed a very good fake email to your school? The reason I ask is because these con artists actually use such devices to push their con forward. Do not take that seriously at this point. There is no reason to.

If the email is legit, then the professor involved will be notified and the paper in question will be assessed and investigated. A preliminary investigation will take place and if there is any evidence to suspect academic dishonesty on your part, you will receive an official communication from the school asking you to prepare to face the academic board of the school. Until you receive such a communication officially coming from the school officials, just relax. Take it easy. Continue to ignore the group.

They are just trying to ruffle your feathers to force you to pay up. Remember, they said they submitted the letter to your school. The long game has begun. They hope to ruin your holidays by making you worry. Do not give in to the mental and emotional blackmail. If that happens, they win.

They will now try to convince you that they can make the investigation go away once you pay the amount they want or negotiate an amount with them. That is proof that the email they wrote is fake. Send their emails to the spam folder.

If the university does make a formal communication with you in relation to academic honesty, come back here so we can help you sort out your defense.

Thanks for your advice. They created an email that looked like it was from the college but upon further investigation it wasn't legit, because the staff member they contacted didn't exist.

That is a very typical move of theirs. These blackmailers seem to operate using the same modus operandi. I believe that you can safely ignore them at this point. Owing to how the staff member does not exist and all. There is no sense in further worrying about them or paying attention to any of their claims.

@noted Could they do email spoofing and make the sender email address look like the actual email address of a real person from the school ?

I would not put it past them. They are capable of doing anything to harass, threaten, and blackmail a student they have targeted. It is important that the student verify the email address and existence of the sender at the school as a cautionary action.

A simple reverse IP lookup is a good place to start in such cases. The student can get a simple location verification for the address from the ping record. They might use a VPN but it would reflect in the search.

...from the college or to the college? Because my next comments depend on which one they tried to fake.

To the college. Also from the college responding to their email ( I was bccd) but never FROM the college TO me

Then, that's probably the last you'll hear from them, because they no longer have any "leverage" if they already (supposedly) did what they were threatening to do unless you paid them. I sent you a message with some additional suggestions that I wouldn't want to post publicly, for your sake (and for the sake of anybody else in similar circumstances, in the future).
