Got burned by AffordableTermPapers.com, paper due Monday, now what?

I read the Time article about free term papers and got interested. They mentioned AffordableTermPapers.com unfortunately. I paid my money and all I got was a plagiarized piece of crap. Paragraphs were copied verbatim from someone else's work that I found easily by Googling a sentence from the paper.

My paper is due at 12pm EST on June 18, 2007. Are there any legitimate companies that can help me out?

I decided to go with custompapers.com. The paper was a bit costly, $150.00 total, but hopefully will help me pass the class. Now to try and get my refund from AffordableTermPapers.com.

Just wanted to let everyone know CustomPapers.com came through with a legitimate paper (as far as I can tell). I Googled quite a lot of it and came up with nothing.

Lol neuman, Custompapers.com hire ENL writers to do their work. I am not sure how good the quality of paper might be?

I have to agree with this poster, I ordered my paper through them through google and found plagiarism on the first google result. Another student wrote:

Plagiarized papers. I order a paper from this company and received an "F" for plagiarism. The paper was poorly written but I used what I could and made the best out of it with the time that I had left to complete it. I missed the plagiarism tho, and failed the assignment. They only gave me a partial refund and will not respond to my request for a full refund. I want my money back!! I'm not a mad customer but I want to inform others to beware of this site and proceed with caution!!!

Also, after several attempts to get someone to respond, I mentioned notifying the BBB and the response was " we are not in America"

Was this before or after you placed your order? A clarity in your timeline would have been much appreciated. If you read it after the publication of the article thenyou should have tried to cut your losses and sought an immediate refund. It sounds to me like you chose to ignore the warning in the article instead.

You're responding with a direct question to a poster who posted on this forum once 14 years ago as though he/she posted yesterday.

There is no such thing as a free term-paper. Not even if it is a model paper in a database. The bastards will always find away to part you with your money and your personal information. What the OP read was not a recommendation by a reputable general reference magazine. It was meant to be a warning to students. The article was misunderstood, to the benefit of the company. It saddens me to read of such experiences, regardless of how much time has passed.These cautionary tales must be kept alive to serve as a lesson to the current students. This is not the only company to have done this. Students should take what lessons they can prom it to help them with their future decision making in relation to the hiring of academic writing services.

There are actually plenty of free term papers searchable online; they're just not worth very much, because they've undoubtedly been downloaded countless times, already.

Aside from having been downloaded numerous times, the ages of these termpapers also make their information problematic to use. Correct me if I am wrong but professors tend to frown upon the use of information more than 5 years old in publication. That is because newer, more verifiable, and updated information is also openly available after that time frame. So if the student would like to use the information in the free term paper, it would not have any academic value anymore. It is not usable or reliable after that expiration date. While it may be useful in some instances, it fails to add credibility to a paper when commonly known updated information is already readily available for access. As far as I am concerned, this is the main reason why students should not use pre-published term papers.
