Hey everyone,
I came on this website last night and was very happy to find that almost everyone of the sites I found when I searched on google was fraud and thanks to this site I avoided them. I started looking for an writer/editor for my brother's thesis since it is due in 5 days for him to graduate from the Honors college at Arizona State University. He had done most of the work, but we needed to find him a professional to review it for accuracy, edit it to prepare for publication, and format it to APA format.
I searched for several hours last night and was fortunate to come across two websites that are very different than the ones that are posted on most of the forums. Most of the messages refer to individual websites that advertise that they will provide the service and set you up with a writer. Instead, these two sites actually list out the profiles and contact information for individual thesis editing/consulting professionals so you can find the professionals that work for whatever you need. Here are the sites that I used:
1) Association for the Support of Graduate Students (ASGS): asgs.org/consdetl.html. This has a listing of about 100 consultants who provide assistance with different types of thesis and dissertation papers. The list is a couple of years old, so some of the emails or phone numbers may no longer be active. Nonetheless, I reached out to 10 people on this list and corresponded with 5 of them over the day today.
2) Cambridge Editors Network: cambridge-editors.org/editors.html. This website has a listing of different editing professionals similar to the previous website divided by particular areas such as copy editing, research writing, proofreading, and technical editing. I reached out to about 8 people this morning and corresponded with 3 of them over the day today.
3) EssayScam.org, EssayDirectory.com, EssayBrand.com, EssayChat.com. Plus whatever other credible websites you may find or suggest.
One of the people on the ASGS list had just the area of expertise we needed and could make it by the deadline. I talked with him over the phone twice today and emailed back and forth about 5-6 times so I could explain to him the full extent of the situation. He has been a statistics consultant for the last 25 years and I have reviewed both his resume and found court cases that he has been the expert witness for.
Obviously the person I found is not going to be the best fit for everyone, but I hope these websites can give you a network through which you can find someone that is suited to your needs. Best of luck to you all!
Best,
Ben
