The writers that work for these companies do not realize that they are being scammed. They believe that by continuing to work for free, they will eventually get paid. That is never what happens. The company might decide to pay a fraction of what is owed to them, eventually, but they will never receive the full amount. The company will always keep a part of the salary in hold because they know that if they pay the writers in full, the writer is most likely going to leave. While there are other new writers who will take their place, these writers are normally better clued into the system and refuse to work after one missed payment schedule. Why are they better clued in? They have already read this forum and know that they are working with risks for the company. They are willing to give the company a chance since these writers are more comfortable working for a company than working alone. They are willing to suffer the consequences of their wrong decisions for a period of time. They will not stay for as long as the OP has though, who was hoping to get paid in full by complaining about the company in public. Guess what? It did not work !
