Degree Essays / UK Essays AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS

I have bought several pieces from them (they are supposedly a part of UKEssays):

- References have been made up. The dates on them are fabricated to make them look more recent, they are 15 years old and yet they state that they are only 2 or 3 years old.

Scholar Degree- They over charge.

- They dont deliver on time (2 weeks late with one order).

- They state they do checks, but these checks dont pick up grammatical spelling or issues with references.

- I have never passed an assignment, My grades have been F2 F1 P2 F1.

- These are over different subjects.

- Customer care is appalling, they are rude.

- No refund was offered on work that failed, and I only got 50% back after a long battle on one assignment.

- The standards of English was terrible, English is not my first language and even I can see that there are huge grammatical errors

- They state they have quoted from a source, whereas the quotes are nothing to do with the source, and the source is often saying the total opposite.

- They are unable to stick to word counts and they refuse to make alterations, even within the time frame, when I pointed out that they hadnt understood the specifications and the assignment was completely off topic they demanded I pay for another assignment, even though they had clearly totally misunderstood the requirements (which were quite clear)

Conclusion: avoid this company or any connected with them or any writers working with them - they are crap.

Why do you keep going back to them if you never passed an assignment?

Here at Degree Essays we are very concerned to hear of the poor quality and service you have received. If you can provide your order number here by reply I will investigate this immediately.

I guess if you don't have an order number from us then you must have confused our service with another one. Please help us help you by providing your order number and we'll do what we can to resolve your complaint.

I would have to agree. Several projects I ordered have been well below par. When I confronted them they made it very difficult for me to argue my case and get a refund.

I would like to also make clear that I had the pieces marked independently (not by handing in work as my own but by sending it through an essay marking service) and the professors marking felt it fell well below par. The asked for feedback sheets which at the time I was unable to provide so they ignored me, despite the work clearly being below par, anyone could see that.

Look to the law to get your refund because they do not honour their guarantees at all. One worker wrote to me saying the company will 'not be held to ransom' when I said I would consder legal action if no refund was given.

Carly I have order numbers for several pieces of work that fell way below par. If you private message me I can send you the order numbers, I cannot pm you now as I am a new member. I do hope you would be willing to look into this for me as it has cost me a lot of money.

Julie: I have sent you a direct message so I can pass on your order details and complaint to our After Care manager. If you have had the work independently checked through a marking service I would assume that they have given you some form of feedback after checking the work. It is going to help us look into your issue if you can send that feedback to me. You can reply to the email I have sent through this forum. I will try to avoid replying to you on this forum as this forum is not really for us to resolve our customer's issues, feel free to message me direct.

Magpie: I will need you to respond with your order number in order to help you. Do you have any order numbers? Feel free to message me direct if you wish to.

Many thanks.

You know Carly, if your company hired decent writers and paid a decent wage in the first place, you wouldn't have to use this forum as your customer service center.

You only know how good/bad a writer is after they have written their 1st essay by which time its too late because you have an unhappy client

Not entirely true. First, there are ways to limit the harm new writers can do; second, offering a decent wage attracts better writers in the first place.

References have been made up.

How did you figure this out? Did they make the mistake of using the online publications and offering the real URL's for the original sources? That would be the only way to catch them doing this. In which case, you should have demanded an immediate refund due to useless information in the paper.

Incorrect.

The only thing the client would have had to do was Google the titles of those articles. Whether or not the publications in which they appeared are "online" publications and/or whether or not the writer provided their actual URLs, it's still very easy to identify those articles online and to determine their true dates of publication. If the project instructions specified that only sources with more recent publication dates could be used and the writer just changed the dates so that he could use older articles instead of finding more ecent ones, the client obviously has a valid complaint.

. If the project instructions specified that only sources with more recent publication dates could be used and the writer just changed the dates so that he could use older articles instead

This is something I've seen some writers do. If a marker checks them sources and discovers the dates are wrong, that is fabrication and a serious infraction. The consequences of this on a course leading to a professional registration could be life changing. Some writers have an amazing ability to write complete tawdry, on the surface it looks great, but any amount of digging reveals the real superficial nature of their work.

@a1writer, can you confirm if this company is really a part of the UKEssays group of companies? If so, then this is one website that they need to either take down or, improve the services of. I find it hard to believe that the main company would allow such bad service to exist in any of their partner sites since that would ricochet off the main site, as evidenced by this post. This is the problem with umbrella sites, the main company cannot supervise all of the writers in their employ since they come in through various channels, but get their orders off the same server. The client assistants vary per company and so does the final paper quality.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.

I cannot find any information about Degree Essays let alone a website. I doubt UKEssays would be affiliated to such a dubious organisation as they maintain high standards in UK essay writing business and I have directed clients towards them without any hesitation since my retirement. In fact I wouldn't direct them anywhere else as non UK writers are not up to the grade.
