Is Essaydom fraudulent: Does anyone know them?

I came across essaydom.com, known also as searchdom.com and essaydom.co.uk due to the fact that my dad passed away recently and I couldn't write my assignment properly. I wanted to have a writer setting out the frame and I would have worked on the paper. After reading their webpage, checking refund policy and T&C, I decided to give them a call phone checking their phone calls etc. I've talked to a certain Danny Garfield (is probably a fake name) who assured me that they have retired professors (written also on their page) as writers and they guarantee excellent writing.

Should I be unsatisfied, they will revise my paper accordingly . Should I be still unhappy, which he certainly can assure, would not be the case,a 100 % refund will follow (mentioned also on their webpage). He asked me to send my assignment requirements on his email address dgarfield@papersdom.com so as he can forward it to the writer to make sure they can meet the deadline (ordered on the 3rd January delivery the 6th), furthermore I should log myself in their system, so as he can inform me (chat system) whether everything is fine and to make payment.

I paid with my CC ( received an invoice from them mentioning Educationsp.com)and waited for my assignment which never came, I therefore sent him an email requesting my paper which was shortly uploaded on their website. To my great disappointment the returned assignment was completely out of context. Since then I'm trying to contact them and of course no answer as they blocked my IP/ telephone number from their system (a friend of mine logged in their system and she could talked/chat with them. They didn't reply to all my emails where I've reported that I will write on different forums relating my experience. I have filed up a complaint with my credit card company and I'm waiting to know whether I will get my 216 USD back. I would highly appreciate hearing your comments.

Do you have the record of correspondence with that company? Your bank my ask you to contact the merchant first, so there should be some proof that you did.

Let them (writing company) know about the fraud complaint you made, this can make them change their mind and issue a refund, since chargeback is a thing to be avoided

Thank you for your comments. I have photocopied my emails but the bank didn't ask me for proofs. I have had to fill up a form mentioning the reason and they told me they will retrieve payment.

I phoned them twice before ordering and 20 times when essay didn't come and I have not come across indian accent ( I have often worked with indian companies and they have an accent which one recognizes 1000 miles away! Should I have got someone on th ephone with even a slightest accent, I wouldn't have ordered! Anyway let's hope the bank will refund the money and I want every student to be aware of this fraudulent site.

1. They use a call center.

2. Many of their Pakistani phone reps were educated at English language schools in Pakistan/India.

ophelie, no worries you'll get your money back

On what do you base that assertion? The company in question is notoriously fraudulent, frequently stealing intellectual property from Web sites and money from unsuspecting customers.

On what do you base that assertion?

they told me they will retrieve payment.

If this company is not going to refund the money, the bank will simply reverse the transaction.
Of course, there is no way this fact can excuse poor support service or inability to provide the paper after having charged the client.

None of those sites even have a local number. No addrss either. That on its own should have rang alarm bells.

B4 u order always call them and firsly listen to the ring tone. That will be the biggest give away as an unfamiliar ring tone means its a foreign co then listen to their accents.
OP ophelie  1 | 7   Student
Jan 11, 2011 | #13
Thank you for your comments. I thought I was careful! as when you phone from Europe to USA, the ring tone was"normal" no diversion; I came also to the conclusion that they are using a call center as they didn't have an "indian/singing accent". As I've mentioned in my post I have phoned them before placing order and asked them also about the address- they stated that they don't meet customers and their writers are freelancers so there is no need to mention it on the web. I have furthermore shown the website, invoice and gave my log- in information to a friend who knows someone who works in the police IT department and he will see whether he can dig for more information.

Jan 11, 2011 | #14
What kind of ringtone? All the support systems are employing voip, so there may be no ringtone at all and if there is any, it should not be much different whether you call a guy next door or some place on the opposite side of the planet, it's not a pstn.

ophelie, have you emailed their manager notifying about the chargeback procedure?

what is your bank saying?

you are right the ring tone is normal as if indeed you are phoning next door! The bank is notified, they will start immediately chargeback procedures. They furthermore blocked the cc. I have reported also the case to the police, even though it might be a waste of time. Some friends of mine have been doing some researches and they found out that essaydom website is hosted by directnic.com also on Facebook; they are using their "Direct privacy" address to avoid their name on whois as well as their cc merchant accounts and they are using a George Town, Grand Cayman KY1-1010 address !! I have contacted this hosting company, reporting the fraud and I'm waiting for an answer...... eventually!!

Well whether or not they want to meet customers, a genuine company would always cite their address without hesitation.

These scam companies are known to use morgan stanley as a means of payment. They never use high street banks such as natwest, HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds etc. You may ask why ?? The simple answer is they cannot lie to the banks about their whereabouts cos the banks perform very stringent checks

After typing into google "essay writing service" i find the following companies which look genuine -

uk essays
university work

All of the above have a local phone number, british bank account and are registered with the companies house which means they have to pay tax to the HRMC.

In terms of quality of work i have no idea, but as far as authenticity goes they look the real deal.

After typing into google "essay writing service"

My only question is which of the 'recommended' websites you're trying to shill. My bet goes to s2papers.com. Are you an agent of that site or the owner? Did you come up with this 'clever' (as you thought) idea yourself or you read about it on some 'make quick buck' forums?

I wasnt recommending them at all. Just making people aware they look real.

Major i have no idea who s2papers are. It is the first time i have seen their website after it came up on google search results. If i was an agent i certainly would not be recommending them whilst mentioning three competitors.

Hi everybody,
My bank has advised me today that essaydom has refunded 204 USD and they wanted to know whether they should nevertheless proceed with the chargeback procedures which I refused as I want to forget sooner than later about this bad experience. Thank you for your support and also a big thanks to the administrator of this forum for the offered opportunity to report swindlers...

Hello unfortnately without seeing any reviews i ordered an essay of 3000 words from EssayDom. i gave them one example document as well, which is done by last year student, which i thought that it will helpful for them in making an essay, and after a week i received that order, where the content is all from the example document which i have given them, i asked them about this, they told me that may be writer has been confused, i asked for refund ,Still i didn't get any reply from them. i tried to contact them in chat session, and they told me that my refund is under process,it will take 4 days time to process and now it has been a week, it is not processed still, and today when i tried to contact them they are saying that 65 % of the total amount is approved for refund and he said me that they are facing the problem in refunding the amount back to paypal, and it will take some more time to resolve this issue whicjh takes 5-6 days to be processed. i asked them to give the telephone number of the billing department so that i will speak, but he gave me a fake number which is saying the number is not recognized. and again i tried to contact on support number, which is connected and simply playing an music, i stayed connected for 5 min, but i haven't got any response. i asked them if my refund is approved why you are not sending me the email confirmation, and he said me "may be the billing dept forget to send you the email". could you please advice me now how to get my money back.

Start a chargeback with your credit card company. This has been posted in dozens of prior threads.

I made the payment through Paypal

YEs, but Paypal probably has a credit card or bank account of yours on file, from which it makes payments. Thus,

START A CHARGEBACK WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY (OR BANK).

Could you please explain how to chargeback

No. I'm done explaining this. If you're old enough to spend money, you ought to be old enough to know what you're doing. It's also something you can google and find an answer to. Lazy and stupid is a really bad combination--correct the former and you'll correct the latter.

How did you get into college? Seriously, did your family make some huge donation so they had to accept you? Do you have absolutely no critical thinking skills at your disposal, or are you just so unused to using them that you don't know where to begin?

Hi, I think I just got scammed using essaydom.com. I tried to stop payment after reading the comments on this site but won't be able to do anything until the bank opens. I wish I had done my research prior to sending the payment. This is a great site and I appreciate your comments/warnings.

:/ Maybe you should wait to see the final product, assuming it is delivered on time, before doing a stop payment.

It's one thing to demand a refund or do a chargeback if a product you purchase doesn't meet the quality that was promised.

But in spite of all I said as to why you might be wary of going through a website service in the first place, if you've already paid and someone has (potentially) been putting time and effort in writing up your request, you at least owe it to them to see how it turns out.

Say you meet a random guy on the street who proclaims to be a fantastic portrait painter and, based on his claim, you pay him maybe $1000 to paint your portrait. Now.. all evidence suggests that he's not going to be that good. Artists who do really high quality portraits aren't likely to work for what you paid. Maybe you ask some friends and they express their doubts. These are all good reasons to not hire him in the first place. Still, you don't sit through hours of him working on the portrait and then, without seeing it, declare you've had some doubts and insist upon a refund.

That is a well-rounded critique of how one should proceed with an essay order; however, I am just wondering who it is directed to.

You're right...guess I'll wait and keep my fingers crossed. I'm actually more concerned about not getting the paper done than losing the money.

I just received my completed paper within 12 hours of my order although I paid for and provided a 48-hour deadline. I have read it and it seems to consist of all requirements. I'm glad I didn't cancel my payment after freaking out from all the negative feedbacks and allegations of scam. Thanks d652482 for making the point you did about someone putting in the time to write the paper only to find out they weren't being paid. That wasn't my intention but I panicked.

Bwahahhahahha...I just signed up couple of minutes ago.. and then somebody just called me after few minutes..he sounded like an east Indian or something(Not sure) He is pushing me to buy an essay for them.. where I told them bluntly that all i need is an outline and I will do leg work.. He was charging for me $70 for 24 hours or $50 for more hours... I said.."I signed up out of curiosity.. and I told them I know some writers who can do an outline for me for $10!"... then he said "Good luck sir.. then he hang up on me.." he got pissed...what a sore loser..:):) $5 and $10 for an outline...I am a busy working father of four kids.. I just need some help...but not to the point will do everything for me...

If anybody here looking for some good writers at a cheaper price.. goto fiverr. but expect a paraphrased broken English lol.

Just sharing...:)

Good luck guys..

YEah looked at fiverr, this a completely different type of service. You cant compare the differences and costs associated. I have used essaydom.com 13 times now and they always give me a good paper and always deliver ontime. Like I said in my past post you dont believe me I would be glad to send you a copy of one of my papers.

Your an idiot, I live in the Bay area. The Bay area is San Fran, I am not Pakastani you troll. Do I sound like I am, your probably a comp of essaydom.com. Like I said if you wanna see the work they do just email me. They have never screwed me over. I counted my past orders, 13 of them and always on time or early. good service for the cost.

Just shoot me an email at @gmail, I would be glad to. Actually just another update, I ordered a paper 2 weeks ago for discrete mathematics and received it a day early. I can send you that one if you would like. I try and order papers 15 days out to get cheapest price, than I ask the sales guy for a additional discount and because I am a gold member I get 10% off than they usually give me another 20% off. which is so cheap. I usually get A's or B's for the paper.

Looks like this site takes out my email address. But my email is my username on this site at gmail
