Hi

Is SNR a legit site ? If so, I believe they operate under the affiliate model. Could you please let me know some good and honest websites operating under the SNR aegis.

Also, if possible, would the really experienced members here, like WritersBeware, Pheelyks, WRT etc PM me the web address of a few legit sites.

Hope I am not breaking any rules here. Just asking for some advise.

Thanks a ton.

about the reliability of couple sites......

custom-papers.co.uk/term-paper-help
customessaywriters.co.uk/PRICE.htm

Looking at your list, e-diting.co.uk is the only one that is actually based in the UK. The other ones are Ukrainian and Pakistani. You make a mistake assuming only .co.uk sites may meet your needs. The fact is, all legitimate sites have both US and UK-based writers, so you limit your search without a valid reason. If you insist on UK, you may go with uk essays dot com (if you're very rich); essay writer co uk may work for you too.

Then do you think it's a good idea to ask my dissertation supervisor to see if he can recommend any of his colleagues to do similar things for me?

If you want to be 100% sure with whom you're dealing with, ask your supervisor indeed. They won't write a custom dissertation for you, but should help you with research, sources, etc.

Dear Constan,

General rule of thumb, if its too good to be true then it is. For example - ridiculously low priced services indicate that the company are likely to be using ESL writers. In saying that, that doesn't necessarily mean paying over the odds will be any better, although you would hope that these companies would have a better recruitment process as well as better rates to attract UK academic talent.

Kind regards,
Michael

Dear Johnsmom,

Negative - But that's fine, I am doing well and my business is profitable, I do not need to validate to you how professional and results driven my company is.

Happy new year!

I have actually come across dissertation supervisors who do recommend previous students to help current students with their dissertation pieces. The person becomes more of a writing and research mentor, rather than an academic writer. The student still does all of the work, the writing assistant merely supervises and helps him over any mental block or writing obstacles the student may encounter. Yes, that would be an excellent way of writing a dissertation. The professor will even appreciate the student's honesty at that point.

recommend previous students

These days students working on their dissertation can hire professional editors to help them with their papers. They will not write the paper for the student but will assist in sourcing information material, reviewing content, and helping with defense prepation. These are parts of the job that a recommended reviewer will not be willing to help a student with, but a paid research assistant, not to be confused with a writing assistant, would be willing to do for a small fee. Most students who hire research and editing asisstants have said that it is money well spent as it helps increase their writing time. Research afterall takes up more than half the time when creating the dissertation paper.

If a PhD candidate wants to stick to the limits of what openly acknowledged and authorized dissertation editors are technically allowed to do, it's really limited to editing whatever's already actually been written by the candidate, which usually means line editing, grammar, word choice, punctuation, spelling, and moving existing text around as necessary to improve the work's organization. Authorized dissertation editors aren't allowed to contribute any research or any substantive ideas, analyses, or thoughts actually expressed in the work. In 20+ years, I've only had 2 or 3 clients ask me for this type of work, and my name appeared on the Acknowledgements page as "Editor." Most of the time, PhD candidates simply order a proposal from writers; and after the proposal is approved, they order the dissertation, sometimes in its entirety, and other times, a chapter or two at a time.
