A List of Nightmare Writers - Scam Alert

I often use and try writers from different countries for various projects in a quest to develop a strong team of writers. Over the last one year, I have come across many writers. While I have had my share of luck by meeting good writers, some of them have been an absolute nightmare. I am hereby posting the e-mail id's and a brief of my experience.

1. kiemamk@gmail (MORRIS KIEMA KILUNDA) (Kenya)

Nightmare WritersThis has to be on the top of the list. He would accept everything from Management to Finance, Maths, Computers, Advanced Statistics, Engineering, Nursing, Journal Article Publication (anything under the sun). I got very poor response from most of the clients. He would ask for advance payment always, and never delivers as per the deadline. He never accepts his mistake and blames the client if there is any revision request.

2. mulusi.terecia1990@gmail (Terecia Mulusi)

This was her first message to me
"Hello, I am one of those who discovered academic writing in Kenya in 2007. I have a vast array of network, expertise, and knowledge in this field. Therefore, I would like to work with you if you could give me the opportunity. Kind regards, Terecia."

I happened to assign her an Aerospace Engineering work and paid in advance. I never got the work.

3. alok.iimshillong@gmail (Alok Agrawal) (India)

Took up a Networking Assignment and never replied for a revision request. I have been sending e-mails to him regularly but has never bothered to reply. I ended up refunding the client, and I had paid the full amount to Alok. I lost an important client as a result.

4. dabhandworld@gmail (Kamal) (India)

This person is one in a million. He cannot even communicate properly and yet boasts of delivering high-quality work (as he has a team). I assigned a few projects to him, and after an assignment failed miserably (it had more than 70% plagiarism), he never took the responsibility and did not agree to refund the amount. I lost an important client as a result.

5. globalwriteup@gmail (Saumya) (India)

Again, this lady never responds to e-mails on time. There is no point in calling her mobile as she would just not answer it. She completed a dissertation and the student failed. I did not even ask for a refund as it would have been no less than wasting energy. I lost an important client as a result.

6. jus254@gmail (Justus Otieno) (Kenya)

Delivered Plagiarized solutions. My contract with a client was terminated as a result.

7. josephskatie@hotmail (Josephs Katie) (Kenya)

He has confirmed many orders, but sleeps after confirmation. Thank God that I always kept back up.

8. andrealewis616@hotmail (Andrew Lewis)

He accepts all the orders, but delivers poor quality work, although I did manage to get my money back using Paypal Dispute.

9. Please remind that don't be cheated by Erick Oketch SKRILL: ericallegra@gmail PAYPAL: juliogogo2030@gmail. People like him knows nothing but to fooled everyone. I have seen this guy post on essaychat too, and the amount of his post is astonishing

The common point in all the above cases is the fact that most of these people hired other writers. But again, you can do that provided you have enough control, and you are ready to assume responsibility when things deviate from what is expected.

I do not have the intention of insulting anyone, and the above post is just one side of the picture, and these people might have their explanations and justifications. However, if anyone knows more about any of these people, I would love to know your experience.

I believe there is no specific way to find a good writer. However, these are a few steps that I follow, before trusting someone with a job:

1. Ask for their CV with contact number.
2. Getting connected with the person on different IM's or social network (Example - Facebook, Skype, WhatApp, Google Hangouts, QQ, WeChat or any other)
3. Talk to the person and ask a few generic question about Referencing Style, etc. Also, asking an expert about what will they undertake in a given task (if they can provide a brief outline)

4. I do not mind paying advance, but I appreciate if 10% can be shown to me before the payment (Example- Screenshots, Remote Desktop Viewing, etc.)

I also believe that there are a few attributes which a good writer will always possess:
a) Meeting the Deadline (in case, extension is required, then communicating the same properly with a valid reason and the expected time of delivery)
b) Flexible enough to understand the requirements of different clients
c) Specialization in a specific unit (or related subject), rather than being a jack of all trades.
Now, I can understand that a good researcher or writer would be able to handle a variety of theoretical subjects. But, it's hard to swallow that how can one accept both Advanced Nursing and Engineering.

I do all this as I am always on the look out for long term relationship rather than using an expert for one project. Again, this is what I do, and it might not make sense to a lot of experienced people here and I am more than willing to learn from you.

budhesh28 are you an idiot or what?
So you expect with your $35 project, a decent writer will send his/her CV, link up with you via social media and, generally, go miles and miles just to prove his/her competence? Are you looking for a writer or for a doctor?

Just F?*k off with your pedantic requirements. No writer is going to work with a demanding imbecile like you.
Or do you pay $5,000 pp?

QS, Sorry, if you are having a bad day. However, as I wrote in my post "this is what I do, and it might not make sense to a lot of experienced people here and I am more than willing to learn from you."

I have had very bitter experience with writers, and I am trying to do whatever I can to find reliable writers whom I can count upon. If I need an urgent revision in a couple of hours, then I must be in a position to reach out to an expert and hence I expect a variety of channels. This also applies for faster communication with an expert and that is the crux of this industry.

Let me answer your post now:
I won't degrade you (like the way you have done, "idiot; F?*k off & imbecile ") as I am a busy person. If I use the same language and tone, you will stretch this post, and there would be a deviation from the objective of this post. I am also not a frustrated person; I am looking to learn from experience of other members here and getting into altercations is not something I believe in.

Which $35 project are you referring to? Some of my writers are taking $9 per page from me at the moment. (I just assigned a Research Proposal today at that rate).

Yes, I do expect people to impress me, especially if they are approaching me for being included in my team, rather than the other way around, as I get about 5-10 applications (average) on daily basis from different writers.

Could you suggest me some ways as to what I should exactly be doing? I don't mind learning from you.
Second last line - There are plenty of them working for me already, so don't worry about that, and I'll keep looking for more.

$5000 per page - I really don't need to answer that.
I reiterate that I am looking for open suggestions, and I am sharing my experience, and I would not reply if your next post is a personal attack involving abusive language.

Some of my writers are taking $9 per page from me at the moment.

Most probably, this is the higher side of the per-page compensation. What about the lower end? $2 a page?

So, it's not fixed. I mostly ask the writers to quote their price for every project. One of the primary reasons for that is the fact that I get a lot of technical orders, so per page cost is not something I can fix with writers. However, yes, for non-technical orders, it can range between $5-$15 per page contingent upon what the client has paid and also the reputation of the writer that include factors like:

* Response time
* Quality of delivery
* Feedback received
* Result obtained
* Number of revisions
* Instructions adhered
* Deadline met
* Others depending upon the nature of the project

Your rates are below the market average, so you are getting a quality of work that is also below the market average. You also apparently aren't dealing with many native speakers, and yet these essays need to be written in English. You get what you pay for. What's the big mystery?

thegrademaker@hotmail (SCAMMER)

Beware of this e-mail id - thegrademaker@hotmail, aka Keith Russell. I had assigned him a Stress Analysis work and he missed the deadline for the same. After continuous follow-ups, he kept buying time with his lame excuses. I again tried him for a Project Management Assignment (I am cursing myself for doing this), and gave him a sharp deadline of 12 hours and a budget of $150. As expected, there was no show from him after the stipulated deadline. He sends an e-mail to me that he would charge $220 given the complex nature of the job after 24 hours. As I was desperate, I said yes but had very little hopes that he would actually deliver. He started pressing that I must pay advance before taking the delivery. As I am experienced, I decided not to pay him without delivery.

The above is still something that one can absorb given that it happens in the industry that we operate in.
However, what he did after this is beyond any justification, the second work had the e-mail id of the client given the nature of the work as it was a Project Management work and the client's e-mail was required to be used at multiple places in the work, the scammer emailed the client and demanded $500 for completing the work. The innocent student paid him $50 in advance only to realise after talking to me that this guy vanished after getting the money. Stay safe people.

I'd just like to warn others against using the services of a guy named Mark, he goes by the handle academic_writing on ebay and uses the email address, proseartist.

If anyone needs any more details then please feel free to send me a private message.

I'm now being blackmailed in private.

"Remove the ebay feedback you left for me else i will have to disclose your academic fraud on the whole wide web and to your university too.

The scam list may be old but we can never tell if these people are still lurking in the dark, continuing to do their misdeeds upon unsuspecting students. So updating this post, bumping it up, in a way, still does a service. As a warning, a precaution to the students. The tips on how to vet the writers will also be helpful. This total thread is still relevant these days so I hope the students do take note of the names and possible vetting guidelines when interviewing or searching for a reliable independent writer.

Cite, this would be a good thread in which to bust out that Martin Luther essay and show everyone your chops. Why not?

I assume that the writers mentioned above all contacted the OP directly to hawk their services. That would be the only reason why the OP would receive such a large number of letters from independent writers. It is always best not to respond to these individual work solicitation emails because there is no way of vetting their actual writing skills and research abilities. A proper academic writer will never seek out clients via email. They wait for the client to contact them. The academic writing business frowns upon solicitation emails. It does not help the image of the independent writers overall when these solicitation emails are sent because that sometimes ends up as the first impression of a potential client with regards to independent academic writers. Yes, they give the legitimate writers a bad name.
