Has anyone else had experience with this site?

oxbridgenotes.co.uk or goes by oxbridgenotes.com

I must be the biggest fool for trusting a site like this.

Its a site where i purchased law notes, the site explained that the notes were from recent graduates who were first grade and then sold them to the site. Ok so far I got to review a few pages prior to purchase which is great. I stupidly spent four hundred pounds on a set only to find that they were mismatching and that few pages I read prior were completely different. they were more like a first years lecture scribbles than anything else. when I asked for a return I was bluntly told you bought them as is and no returns. I felt conned its no wonder the site doesn't take credit cards as the credit card company's would look for a refund on my behalf but now im left with nothing. beware of sites like these... and spread the word if you have also been scammed.

sorry to hear that but you know what there are some good websites that offers a real quality paper. I purchased one from the "Recommended Research Services" (link in the menu) and I'm very satisfied to what I got (thanks Madeline ;) What I'm saying is not all online writing services are scam.Maybe you just been to a wrong website... at least they are not offshore which is the worst kind of services because they have no legitimate English-speaking writers.

Hi Yvonne,

I work at Oxbridge Notes, and I've just come across your post while I was googling to check on how our mobile site is looking. I'm very surprised and concerned to hear about your experience, so I've been searching through our order history to try and find your order and look into what might have happened. Unfortunately I can't find any order under the name Yvonne that was for more than £29 in the past year, and I can't find any customer service records under the name Yvonne regarding this kind of problem either.

If the samples provided didn't match what you received, this would have been due to a technical fault in the website as we absolutely do not intentionally provide incorrect samples - we have no reason to post one set of notes in the samples and then provide a different set. Regarding payments, we only accept PayPal who have very good payment protection for customers - we don't accept other payment options because it would cost us tens of thousands of pounds to add the infrastructure required for this, something as a small business we can't currently afford. We have a no refund policy clearly stated in our terms and conditions because we experience a lot of refund fraud due to the digital nature of our product, however when a customer gets in touch with quality concerns which we find are reasonable or when there's been a technical fault we are quick to refund in these cases. I'd be really surprised if you got in touch to say that the samples didn't match what you received and weren't provided with a refund or replacement, and I'd be happy to look into this for you and review whether or not we should refund your money now. However as mentioned, I can't find any record of your order under the name Yvonne, so if you could provide an order number for me or your first name if Yvonne is just a screen name, that would be really helpful.

We're not a scam, we're a genuine hard-working small business trying to provide reliable revision aids for people - and we've had thousands and thousands of happy customers over the past 5 years who have been really helped by our notes. I hope we can sort this out with you as your experience is not the norm and not something we want you to be left with.

Kind regards,
Joseph

You protest too much. That tells me that you are the exact opposite of what you claim to be. You are also an in idiot if you think that you can find the order of the student based on what is obviously a fake username but real order information. You could not find it because you do not have the correct information. You should have asked the student for the correct information and continued the discussion offline. You are lucky the student did not follow up on the complaint after having read your post.

Or, could I be wrong and the OP was just a troll released into the forum to help besmirch the reputation of the company? Perhaps a competitor posted in the guise of a student? There are just so many ways that this discussion could have been perceived at the time of the original posting.

This one time that I am siding with AI developed quick notes for students. There is no need to spend hundreds of dollars on previously written papers when you can enter a few keywords in Gemini, ChatGPT, or some other app, and have it come back to you with a proper overview of the topic that you want to learn about. That will definitely provide you with updated information and you will not have spent a single dime to have received the information.

There's no doubt that AI is great for many different things. Writing anything requiring original thought is just one of the relatively few things for which it's still entirely useless.
