Well, I'm the n00b at this one and of course I got plowed for $120! Damn hard lesson learned well. I submitted my request to them last Sunday and promptly paid and even got a cool confirmation email with an order number. Then comes the deadline and yep, there goes the deadline right on by me. I go back to the website and find the contact number and call it. Disconnected number.....that's about the point I realized the I didn't even get a kiss with that screwing. So, then I start doing what I should have done in the first place.....my due dilligence. Although that probably wouldn't have helped since I still haven't found anything good or bad about PrimeEssays. Anyway, that's my experience and maybe someone else will be saved a few bucks from my mistake. CK.

Crazykat,

We will never learn, because we are in need of work. My friends did not get a single penny from Peter Richardson of Projects1st class or whatever he calls himself. He owes them each beyond £550. Many people come forward to say that they too are cheated by him.

I cannot understand how this man goes to sleep at night. Won't his conscience worry him! Why can't these companies make an honest living? It is so sad that we are unable to do anything to them other than cursing them to go to hell!!

primeessays.com SCAMMED ME WITH UNICODE!!!

Prime Essay WritingHello, this is the first of many notices I will be writing on the internet to explain to you what primeessays.com is doing. I don't know about any others, but prime essays has a nasty little trick, that I am not sure many of you have seen.

I paid around $100 for an essay from them, and received it early. Great! (or not..)

I was nervous so I ran it through several plagiarism checkers, nothing came up.

But since I am slightly tech savvy, I was able to figure out how it was hiding!

The essays are copied from fake sources, and are all plagiarized, but the text is converted to some sort of UNICODE, where the character that is appearing looks the same as an English character, but is actually a different one

A quick lesson on UNICODE. Unicode is a computer language by which any possible character on the computer has a specific ID#. This can be characters from any language, computer language, or symbol.

But some of these characters, although looking the same, have different ID#s. So, this company, copied my essay from a website, and then changed most of the letters (a,b,c,d) to a different unicode character that looks the same (hence the writing still makes sense) but has a different ID#.

Plagiarism checkers use unicode to check for plagiarism. If most of the letters in words are changed, then the program or website cant catch it, since it has no definate match. I was able to manually find the website where it was copied from.

HERE IS HOW TO CHECK YOURS:

1. Copy and paste the text from your received essay to a notepad.

2. Save the notepad as a TXT document, thereby erasing any formatting (since notepad doesn't recognize these characters)

3. When You open it again, you will see hundred or even thousands of ? ? ? where letters should be. This means that your essay has been scrambled and converted to include unicode to fool plagiarism checkers!

So, if this happens, you can be sure that your essay has been plagiarized and should be very careful! Also, when you copy/paste the words into google or something, nothing will come up, but you can try to retype the words manually, and you will get results.

I hope no one falls into the same trap as me!!! I am also sure that this essay has been reused many times!!!

I didn't think to do business background web research first and also got scammed by primeessays. The paper is barely readable and obviously written by someone who is ESL and who DO NOT have any post-secondary experience. Wish I thought to find a site like this first, real waste of $$

my due dilligence

Aside from sharing this entertaining story with us, what else did you hope to accomplish? A refund ? same form of communication from a company up? What? It is unnatural for someone scammed to just want to share the story. There has to be more to it than that. Or, is that all you wanted to accomplish? In which case you area shill and nota wronged client.

You're probably going to need a seance for that info. Also, you're probably going to need to make some friends to have a seance.

Expand your English further with Wiki info: "Necroposting is seen as a form of spam and clogs up the forums with old and unneeded topics."

Finding out the good about a company makes it easy to hire them. Finding no information about the company should make anybody weary about hiring them. I mean, even bad news about a company is more helpful in the decision making process than not finding any information about the company. The only reason that the OP did not find any information about the company at that time, is because the company was still relatively new. Searching for the company these days already turns up the negative aspects that a student should take note of, then use as a reason not to hire the company.
