Has anybody had any experience with this company before? I couldn't find any previous posts on this forum about them, nor can I find an address on the website or their details on the Company House serach.

I just checked the address with their customer services.. 124 BLAIR ATHOL ROAD SHEFFIELD S11 7GD - a company registered in the United Kingdom (apparently)

I just checked on Google Maps, and it's a residential street.

I expressed this to Gabrielle, the customer serves representative.

(moments later)

Gabrielle has left the conversation

FRAUD..She also said she wasn't authorised to disclose information about their CH reg. number.

She's obviously "authorized" to be a lying fraudster. ;)

RoyalEssays.co.uk - my experience

Hi,

Here is my report for royalessays.co.uk which operates the same kind of scam as bestessays.com[DND*]: Once you receive the paper, you only got a very short period of time to ask for a refund (i.e: 72 hours for bestessays.com[DND*], 2 weeks for royalessays.co.uk).

If you want to know what happened more precisely, here are the details:

-I ordered a 2.1 essay (guaranteed mark superior to 60%) of 2500 words, university level and 4 days delay which cost me £150.

-First issue: The essay was written in 10 days which means that it was handed to me on the morning of my essay's hand-in date.

-Second issue: My essay was corrected by a tutor and handed to me three weeks later with a mark of 38% which means that not only they didn't respect the 60%+ guarantee but they also nearly made me fail my module.

-At first I contacted them about the delay straight away after my hand in date and they said that I would get a voucher for my next order. I wanted a refund of course as I wouldn't risk it again. However I thought that I would wait to get my mark before making any claims.

-When I contacted them again after getting my mark, they insisted that they would not issue ANY refund because of a hidden clause in their terms that state that 'an essay will only be corrected if a claim is made before a period of two weeks'.

-I have been writing to them for about a month but they won't back down even though their website is plastered with fake claims like '100% money back guaranteed', '100% satisfaction guarantee' and other stuff that has been spoken of already on here.

-Basically I feel really frustrated that I have been mislead with their fake claims and conned out of my money for no result as well and I don't want this happening to anyone else so that's why I'm posting on here.

To be honest the "guarantees" should have been the warning sign, as usual completely unrealistic.

"You can order a First class paper from us and be 100% confident in your grade. We also write papers for 2:1 and 2:2 Standards. Whatever you request, you are guaranteed to get it." - Cock and bull only the marker can ever guarantee the grade of a paper.

"If it happens that our writing or editing service doesn't meet all your initial expectations, we will revise your paper for free as many times as necessary to finally satisfy you." Either a writer answers the original question or they don't, no one makes endless revisions for free if they have met the original spec.

There aren't usually any "hidden clauses" the terms and conditions which most customers evidently never bother to read usually completely discredit the guff "guarantees" made anywhere else on the page. Evidently the case on this site.

When it comes to guarantees less is sometimes more...

There's your problem. You weren't suckered by their fake guarantees, but by their price. You paid about half of what you could expect to pay for real work from a legitimate company that hires (and pays) decent writers.

it is not necessary that a high price will guarantee high quality of work...i'm amazed at the extremely steep prices of essays that have been mentioned in the several forums here...!!! i think it is a good idea to ask for samples before you choose a site..also, it is best not to make full payments before completion of work...authentic writers should not have a problem with working on an advance payment

A high price won't necessarily guarantee high quality, but a ridiculously low price does greatly increase the likelihood that you'll get a lousy piece of work from an inexperienced writer.

...authentic writers should not have a problem with working on an advance payment

Spoken like someone who's never had a client he thought he could trust not make a promised payment after the fact. I had one client for about 3 years and dozens of papers ask me to trust her for her next two papers until she got paid. After all that time, I figured she was trustworthy and didn't want to be rude and say no. It turned out those were her last two papers for her degree and I got several very apologetic emails promising to take care of it as soon as she could, but that was three years ago and the last time I wrote anything for anybody privately that wasn't paid in full in advance. She even had the nerve to email me about a year later asking if I'd write something else for her if she paid for it in advance...suddenly, she had some money for a new essay but apparently never considered using it to pay me any part of what she already owed me. The new essay she wanted was an employment application letter detailing how financially responsible she is. (Not kidding.)

Asking for samples is a good idea, but there's no way of being sure who actually wrote that sample. Your best bet as a customer is to test out a new writer or new site with a short paper of a few pages and just don't wait until you need a 20-page paper in 3 days to start looking for a writer. I'll write as much or as little as someone wants to pay for in advance, but I no longer even schedule an assignment on my calendar until however many pages someone asks me for is paid in full. No exceptions. Nothing personal.

My two cents on pricing assignment writing...

1. You get what you pay for
2. A writer should receive payment after the work is completed

That's two cents!

I high price won't guarantee quality but if you want a qualified writer from the UK or US you simply won't get these at bargain basement rates. You also have to consider that in many cases if a writer is working for a company they are probably only getting around 50% (varies from company to company) of what you pay.

The point on writers being payed after producing the work is absurd. Why would anyone take that kind of risk? If your worried on this point pay by card and start with small essays as FW recommended.

What do you consider to be bargain basement rates? Is basement a level of quality that you would provide to your customers?

There's nothing absurd about it. I only charge after a customer has received and reviewed their work. The risk is much, much larger on the downside... Imagine if a customer came onto a board like essayscam and said "OMG - Earn Great Results was sooooo dodgy/scammy/corrupt etc." Personally, I'd rather risk someone not paying instead of having them slander my brand for not delivering what they expected.

Its entirely personal but generally I would think that less than £40/1000 which is the going rate at the companies starts too look bad, although it depends on a whole range of factors. No I do not provide basement quality - its the going rate or not at all.

That's entirely your call but the industry standard is pay up front and there are well documented cases of respected writers being burnt here so I'll stick to what works.

There is a risk involved in everything. Even the legit writing companies pay their writers after receiving a lot of work done. Isn't it the risk for writers? Just look at the case of Hala.

I agree with you to a certain extent. I prefer a small percentage of total amount, or, as little as $20 in advance. The rest of the amount the customers can pay after getting the work done. How much of a risk is involved in the transaction when I know customers can't resist paying for what they receive from me? Customers will definitely pay if the work is done as desired. I have never had such an experience of not getting paid by a customer.

I think you are mixing up the standards of writing companies to those of writers. Writers working for the writing companies are never paid upfront even their accounts are credited the amount they are owed.

Yes there is a difference here but on the company side of the business I believe customers still pay upfront even though the writer is paid in arrears. There is no question of writer not being paid due to a customer refusal to pay after a paper has been produced in my experience.

you are right..but in this competitive market it is very difficult to find authentic clients or sites who actually pay up...!!! can you suggest any ways to locate good clients?? like any site?? so far i have mainly worked through freelancer.com and the payments are very low

next time you need an essay done, please try to contact writers like us directly...it would save you a lot of money and will also be highly convenient due to the direct contact..

I just checked on Google Maps, and it's a residential street.

Google Maps have saved many of my student clients from dealing with scams. Ever since I taught them to check the location of the company before they even consider hiring them, they have been using reverse IP lookups and Google Maps to save themselves the bother of dealing with scams. It is precisely because I am using a legitimate office address, and my company is actually physically located there, that they have come to trust my company and my writers. In fact, I have had some of them come over, pre-pandemic of course, for coffee and snacks. Sometimes we even do lunch.

GoDaddy seems to on a roll here. They are constantly buying up active, but non-usable domain names. They are basically using squatters rights on the name, making sure that anybody who is wants to use the name will have to come to them and pay a premium price to get the name released to them for use. They are turning out to be just as bad as the scam companies that used to own the name. They will bleed the potential business owner dry by milking the name for the use of the new owner. It would be best not to encourage such negative practices in a company that specializes in domain name registration.
