Regarding studying abroad, I wrote a related essay:Advantages and disadvantages of studying abroad.

Nowadays the most people want to speak in other languages fluently that's why they reckon studying abroad is more beneficial for learning another language then studying local B.A. or M.A. In my opinion, there are some advantages and disadvantages of studying in foreign country.
More and more people want to go on their study in abroad because there are many advantages for them. Besides, it is much easier to improve foreign language skills effectively when they are surrounded by foreign language environment. Culture is too weak thing so anyone have to adapt hims/herself to new culture that's why they must acquire to talk fluently in that country's language.
Secondly in abroad, anyone can't waste time for friends, housework and anything like these surplus things. He/she spend time only for study and working, because it is absolutely expensive to live in foreign country. Student's speech will develop perfect throughout this work. Thirdly they'll practise how to live alone and certainly he/she undergo life's games without pity.
But unfortunately there are some disadvantages of studying abroad and it could be sufficient for barrier to forget about study. For instance any spoiled people miss her/his family, friends, delicious meals which is cooked in hometown. Homesick isn't easy to forget. Consequently students try to find any kind of way to leave there and new environment also may put in fair to one's health. Eventually the student might smoke, drink alcohol or he/she may sleep in night clubs.
In sum up, if student want step bigger it'll be very great way to continue education abroad, moreover experience abroad might give students better job opportunities. In fact, employers always value international experience highly as this set of candidates is known as adaptable, independent, problem-solving and open-minded.
