Waiting nervously for a custom order from essay paper...

Well, I think I'm starting to get a little nervous here. It's been several hours since my specified deadline for an custom essay paper ordered over a week ago.

Nervous StudentA Customer Service Supervisor had also emailed me last Thursday or Friday telling me that they were able to find a writer to complete the order and that it will be completed by the requested date/time.

I've tried using the Resend Paper Request they have but it says "Your Order is not Currently Completed, when this order is completed, it will be sent to the email address specified on the order form." Should I be worried, is it normal to wait for so long AFTER the due date has passed?

I guess I'm not really complaining since my order was moderately lengthy. It's just that I can't help getting this nervous feeling that the writer may have forgotten about the order or may have dropped it entirely and they might have forgotten to notify me somehow.

Anyway, I've politely emailed customer service inquiring the status of the order and I'm now waiting for a reply. Anyway, I guess my main question is whether or not, in these sites, custom orders are ever dropped by the writer that had originally taken it? Any of the custom essay writers on this board can share their own observations "behind the scenes" of these sites?

Anyway, I'll probably still be waiting here nervously...

In the last 1,000 or so essays I've written for a custom essay service, I had to ask them to repost 2 or 3 because of some unanticipated problem with the order on my end. Generally, if a writer takes your order, you'll get it on time. Once in a while I get so busy that I get jammed up and have to contact the customer to see if he/she can afford to give me a little extra time but I try not to miss any deadlines without advance notice and the customer's permission.

What was your topic?

Thanks for sharing your experiences as a writer, really appreciated. I'm still waiting nervously for a reply from their Customer Service. Hopefully I'll receive at least some kind of explanation for the delay because the worst part is just the waiting and not knowing the status of the order.

My topic for the paper was on the accounting of the economic growth phenomenon of Eastern Asian NIE's (newly industrialized economies). One of their customer service supervisors had actually emailed me saying that they were able to find a writer to take this order. Is it possible that it may have been accidentally confused with another order? Anyway, thanks again for sharing your experiences.

Just got a reply from customer service and it turns out the writer just needed a little bit more time and that it will be completed shortly. It's strange how just a simple update could pretty much remove all the nervousness I had since last night. I really didn't mind the delay, considering the topic, but not knowing the status of my order was the one thing that made me nervous as hell.

What great experience you have! I also know excellent writer (was it you?) who written hundreds essays for Best Essays and he has very similar experience (maybe 0.01% orders anticipate problem, that is a great ratio, don't you think?). He's native English speaker based in West Virginia, USA, and I know he provides both excellent final product and great customer service. He said most Best Essay writers are equally good and reliable.

stu4, you're a joke and everyone but you knows it. Best Essays is laughably bad, and you've been posting similar drek on this forum for years.

I'm also anxiously awaiting two 2 page papers from Custom Essay Writer. I had 2 them write 2 other papers and they were superb, really first rate! But still I'm getting nervous! It's nice to see that one of their writers is so conscientious!

Best Essay is a scam! They cancelled two papers of mine, after the due date had passed! They charged my account imediantly, but are telling me it will take 5-7 days to get a refund?????????????

I don't know anything about that company, but that wouldn't make it a scam. Even legitimate companies have no way around that: they charge your order when it's placed and then give you a full refund if it turns out that nobody was able to write your essay. The delay doesn't benefit the company in any way and it's often the same when you get a credit card refund from any other type of company or retailer.

A scam would be charging for essays without ever intending to provide them or charging for work that isn't original or remotely close to the quality that's guaranteed. Again, I know nothing about that particular company but that type of delay isn't a scam and scam companies (by definition) don't issue full refunds.

The paper was to be completed within "1 day". Now it's past due.

Yesterday I placed an order with ET. The paper was to be completed within "1 day". The due time is now about 5 hours past. I am starting to get a bit worried. I am not going to sit here and call them scammers or anything yet, because I'm sure there can be reasons for the lack of filling the paper on time, but basically, I am trying to figure out what the most likely scenario is, so that I can decide how to handle it.

I know a few people here write for them, so maybe someone could please give me a little insight. The paper was requested as 12 pages long. It was a basic persuasive paper about unions. MLA style format. 9 Sources. Is this request being unreasonable? I have received an email confirming my card being charged. Spam filter is turned off. I assumed that when the card was charged, it means that someone has accepted the paper. Is that not true?

I guess I am trying to figure if I should take work off tomorrow and finish writing the paper myself, or is it likely that the paper will come, but just be a little late. My due date is Wednesday morning.

I have emailed customer service, but have not received a response yet. It has only been about an hour and a half though.

I don't expect anybody do make a decision for me or anything. I am just looking for any little bit of insight that somebody with experience with this company can give me. I don't know if this is normal or not, or if I am being too nervous too quickly. Any thoughts?

Thank you for your time. I do appreciate it.

I believe I saw that order. It's gone so that means someone took it. If I'm running behind schedule, I always contact the customer to let them know so they don't get worried. Most likely, the writer is just running late and you'll receive it soon. Once customer service sees your email they'll email the writer to find out what's going on.

There is nothing normal about that. A legitimate company would have informed you of developing problems. The scam companies would definitely treat you as described. So, you should be worried. Be very worried because the scam is becoming very obvious. Seven hour delay without communication? You've been had.

A seven hour delay, without direct communication from the company or writer is not the noun in the business. companies advise their writers to either directly communicate with the client prior to the timer running out to ask for a deadline extension or, let the company know the order will be late and for how long so that a formal extension request can be made on his behalf. During late submissions, calls, emails, and texts are sent by the company to the writer as a gentle reminder. It often works, forcing the writer to make contact with one of the 2 parties. When these methods fails the client can expect a writer eassignment free of charge.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.

Back when I wrote for essay companies, there were several scenarios that could easily result in a delayed response. The main reason is simply that essay companies are 100% dependent on their writers to respond to customer messages. If a writer has an emergency, the company isn't going to get a response from the writer any sooner than the customer contacting a writer directly. A writer could forget entirely about a project and go away for a weekend (or whatever) and not bother to check emails, especially if he doesn't realize that he missed a deadline. Companies may have no mechanism to monitor projects whose deadlines are about to expire on their assignment boards, with no writer ever taking them. That definitely happens at legit companies, and they'll always issue refunds in those cases; but that won't be much help to customers who never receive their projects or any notification that their projects haven't been taken by a writer in time to make their deadlines. I think about the best they can do is make sure customers understand that no project order is ever "confirmed" until a notice is received that a writer has taken the project, and/or install some automatic warning to let CS reps know anytime there are projects posted on the board with deadlines about to expire, so that they can jump in and start contacting their best writers with bonus offers to take those projects. I used to get a lot of those; but I usually didn't take them, because anytime they have to start offering more money for posted projects, that usually means there was something about the project that caused it to be ignored by all of their writers.
