Hello im trying to figure out if Writer-services.com is a legit writing company. I've tried researching reviews but haven't found anything. I've been emailing with them but of course won't begin work until half payment is received through paypal. Does anyone have any info on them? Tks

Try searching in messages instead of topic titles; there are already threads on this company. Spoiler: stay away.

Start by inserting your search term into the Google search box at the top right of the forum screen. When the search screen opens, go to the 3rd field ("Where") and change it from the default "Titles" to "Messages" so your search isn't limited just to thread topic titles; and repeat your original search.

Cant find their phone number nor do they have a chat option available. Cant sign-up, login or track order but you'll be protected through Paypal!

Not necessarily. PayPal Buyer Protection should cover you if a company or writer doesn't send you anything at all, if they miss your deadline significantly, or if you can show that substantial portions of the work were flagrantly plagiarized (i.e. outright copy/paste vs. insufficiently or improperly referenced, which it probably won't cover). It also probably won't cover you at all if they send you a horribly-written, amateurish, nonsensical essay that is equally worthless to you, because PayPal won't get into or entertain any arguments about anything subjective, such as whether the work is "good" or "bad" or whether it's written at the appropriate academic level; they probably won't even consider certain kinds of objective arguments, such as whether the writing is grammatically correct or in strict compliance with specified referencing styles.

But paypal won't refund if its done in payments such as half down n half after receiving.

I'm not so sure about that. They certainly won't protect your first installment after you've paid the second; but I think they will protect you for any payment if the work provided (and related circumstances) fit all of the other protection criteria, such as I've outlined above. Once you pay for the second half, you're probably only eligible for protection for the second half.

Yea that's what I'm afraid of. I was considering paying it all but like you said it might not even be a good paper.

If you cannot find any information about this company online, it is always best to stay away. When you need to rely only on chats with their client representatives, who is trained to tell lies or half truths, then you are going to be in for a heap of trouble. The best thing to do, when you cannot find any background, service, or client related experience regarding the company online is, to simply find a company you can at least verify at this forum. Otherwise, you may be walking into a cash trap with no way out.

This is true. The longer a writer has been on this forum under the same ID, the safer you are, because it would not be possible to rip people off or to deliver sub-par work for 5 or 10 years without being exposed by one of your victims.

The domain name of this company has been up for sale for some time now. It has not been able to sell the url simply because of the negative feedback that precedes the image of the company that once held the name. Add to that the fact that the writers that were formerly in their employ was not of the highest quality to begin with. Those writers have since moved on to other companies or, have taken the independent writer route via social media. It is important to remember that the companies that go out of business may resurface under a different name, but I do not believe that is the case here. The owners simply could not sustain the business given the type of writers they hired for the business.
