Carp sounds very different from crap.
It has all of the same sounds, with the exception of the vowel, and made absolutely no sense in context. The fact that your only comment on the entire string of posts was, "what's with the fish?" also suggests that you were being quite selective in what you responded to, as though you were attempting to highlight a mistake. Stop backpedaling.
I already asked you if you want all my qualifications to prove that I'm not talking crap
First of all, I never said you wre "talking crap." If your PC reading technology is malfunctioning this badly, I really don't see how you
could conduct online research and writing. Second, I already told you that qualifications don't mean a thing--I know someone that got an English degree form a very reputable university when she still doesn't know the difference between a noun and a verb, let alone how to write a truly accomplished and coherent essay.
Just go reread your posts, then you'll see how rude you came across.
I re-read them, and still say I come across as rational and honest while you become increasingly emotional and defensive. Point out a specific comment you feel was rude, and maybe we can get somewhere on this.
I have no soppy stories to tell
Oh. So that off-hand comment about needing to pay for your mother's old-folks home was somehow relevant to the conversation, and not just more emotional fluff?
you obviously have a great life.
While I am pretty happy with my life at this point, you have no idea what y life is or has been like, precisely because I don't feel a need to air all of my personal baggage on this forum, or to somehow excuse myself from the standards that apply to everyone else because I've had to struggle. My struggles have admittedly not been as great as yours, assuming what you've said about yourself is true, but even when things have been pretty hard I didn't look for excuses.
I liked you.
I'm sorry that you don't find honesty a likable quality when its pointed in your direction. Posting as a writer on this forum was probably a mistake from the get go.
