Any experience with "spinner" software?

I've heard about people using so-called "spinner" software to revise old papers into fresh and exciting new ones. Has anyone in here used this software? It's not cheap -- and I don't want to shell out the dough if it doesn't work.

Using spinner software to create new essay from a pre-written paper, you find sometimes that all the sentences don't relate to each other and their word usage is way too awkward to be used in real life.

Based on the description I read, it seems that some applications are able to learn over time, improving their output. I figured as much, though. Anything produced automatically will require careful reading and interpolation. Thanks for the feedback.

I have found most free spinners to produce garbled gibberish. it takes longer to decipher and edit the gibberish than it would have to write from scratch.

It sounded too good to be true -- thanks all.

Please dont spin your articles. English is a funny language. Spinning it will make it even more funnier! Plz dont ever spin the work. You will forget your english when you copy edit them. People generally use it for SEO purposes. They are Black hat techniques. But all that is set to change as well since google is updating its seo algorithms (ie the pandas & the penguins) :)

This is the result of Google translate from English to Spanish and back to English:

"Please do not turn your articles. English is a funny language. Spinning that will make it even more fun! Plz never turn the work. English Forgets Copying edit em. Usually people use it for SEO research purposes. They are black hat techniques. All That goal is set to change as well since google seo ICT is updating algorithms (ie, pandas and penguins) :)"

Not great...

Word SpinnerHere is my personal experience with "text spinner" software.

- The produced content is, in most cases, unusable. Paraphrased sentences are, typically, longer than the original because the software tries to use synonyms to replace original words. Almost all action is based on finding-replacing words. It creates very incoherent sentences that use a lot of passive voice. It sounds and feel unnatural; an English speaker would never use the language in such a way.

- I would never pay a dime to buy this software. I know there are some shady "SEO writers" who would try to take advantage of it by copying (stealing) ready articles and running them through the software. Some of them would do damage to content three times by:

1 - First taking content written in foreign language.
2 - Having it translated into English by an automatic translator.
3 - Running this through a spin software.

The end result: disaster.

- If you must use such software, make sure to read their Terms and Conditions. Almost all of software spinning companies will force the user to give up their exclusive rights to the content through content licensing. In summary, the user agrees that the submitted text can be stored in databases and the content can be used for any purposes by the company or their partners.

Anything revised using a software is automatically be trash. The software is designed to change the essay word for word, regardless of paragraph meaning or overall discussion points. Software will not learn how to analyze a text and restate it in a manner that still keeps the original sentiment. The problem with software is that is is nothing more than AI. AI has limitations. The human brain does not. That is why if you want to have an old essay paraphrased, you should go to a real writer instead. Someone who specializes in paraphrasing or content editing should be able to do the job without a problem. Never use software for any job that requires analysis. Word for word changes never work. It's just money wasted on a piece of software that produces rubbish in the end. Never believe the hype about AI breakthroughs in the writing world. It's far from it.

Actually refreshing an essay is no longer necessary these days. Why bother to use a refresh software when AI can whip up a model essay for the student in no seconds flat? The refreshed essay and pre-written essay market died ages ago. While there are still softwares available for the refresh intention, these have not been updated in ages either. The programmers have moved on to creating writing apps instead.
