If you check the above text (or the highlighted part in the attachment below), does it look like it's been written by a second-rate ESL writer or by an American writer working for a reputable American essay company? Thoughts?

Thirdly, is it your position that such as SEO article writers commonly write and publish SEO articles for various companies at NO CHARGE?

Now my worry is that a company working with such ESL article writers on a daily basis may use them for their regular business services because they.. usually write and publish articles at no charge to build their portfolio. Some ESL writers write free example essays to prove they understand the English language as well.

I'm just worrying about the end users like myself, that's all.

There are certain lines that no poster can cross, however. Posing as a "customer" who lost $1,800 and blatantly defaming a legitimate company is just not acceptable. There is no defense. He needs to go.

In my opinion, it is a blatantly premeditated act of fraud. The intent is to defame a legit and defraud customers by directing them to a specific (low-quality ESL) site.

I guess this argument about scams and poor ESL writers will end once these students start writing papers and their thesis themselves. Sorry, but there's no such thing as 'a grammar' in this context, which is what pheelyks was referring to. Did you mean that its use in a sentence was not grammatically correct? How can anyone refer to how appropriately the word 'cannot' (which is a legitimate word if that was your gripe) was used as part of a sentence if you don't quote the 'offending' sentence in the first place? O.o


I'm not seeing the causal link between this apparent 'misunderstanding' and pheelyks being an ESL speaker, tbh.

The writing is definitely ESL and did not pass through an ENL proofreader. What ever made you think that it was a good second rate example of ESL writing? It is one of the worst presentations I have ever read at this forum. It will only pass as a beginner ESL presentation. Whoever wrote this should be sent back to English grammar school. If he is ESL, he should be given a failing grade and his certification withheld.

This whole post was nothing but acerbic nonsense from all the participants. Of what value is this thread if the discussion turned from informative by asking for an opinion, to attacks on one another? That was not the original intent of the OP but that is what happened just the same. Sometimes, it is best to simply take the information as provided and give a point of view. One that could be used by the students to consider the company should they decide to consider it for their writing needs. Let us never lose sight of the reason why this forum exists. Stay on point and be helpful even if you cannot stand whoever the original poster is. How you feel and view the person should be separate from the point of view of the highlighted topic.
