Quick question on the 'clients' of research papers...

Lazy StudentHi everyone,

I am new to this forum - well I have been silently reading for a while and I have finally decided to create a post for feedback...

Are the recipients of these research papers (whom we get paid from) - i.e. - the clients who are sweating on these undergraduate/ postgraduate pieces of work, are actually students themselves who are too lazy, but have enough money, to get someone else to write their papers for them?!

If that is the case, then I find the issue with ensuring there is no plagiarism on submissions from writers like us ,from these web-sites, to be quite hypocritical on numerous fronts..

Looking forward to some sound feedback and advice here - thanx in advance.

Kind Regards,

C.

Some people get sick and just want the assignment out of the way and off their mind. I'm hardly rich at all and that's the case for me and why I am trying to contract an 'assignment helper.'

to contract an 'assignment helper.

We are doing a group thing on this and now got many names, real authentic ones and on many subjects. You cannot depend upon this forum. I have seen that 2 american sites are approved, because major contributors write for them or own then, whatever. if you look around outside this forum, you will find many genuine sites, as we have done.

No. Not all of the students who hire the services of independent writers are of the lazy variety. Most of the clients that I worked with during my time as an active academic writer were either working students or with families that they had to take care of. While I will grant that some of them are actually just trying to get out of doing the work themselves, there are more who really require the extra help for more qualified reasons. That is why I always made sure that the essays I used had similar speech / writing patterns to their own and that the sources I provided were the most current possible. Just in case they did not have the time to rework the essay and needed to submit what I wrote for them for a grade. I did this regardless of the reason the student had for hiring my services. I felt that the reason the student decided to hire me was none of my business. My bottom line was really simple, "you hire me to write your paper, I do it perfectly, you pay me for the paper. It was nice doing business with you. "

While a majority of the students who hire writing services are those who are of the ESL variety, I do not discount the lazy ass students who simply don't want to do the work, but want to get the grade. However, I also agree with @Smiley73 that there are those who hire writing services to help them get by since they are working students. As I evolved from becoming an academic writer, I would have to say that I came across all 3 types of students. It was easy to tell which was which. The lazybones didn't even bother to respond to my clarification emails and accepted the work on an as is where is basis. Just the same, I made sure to provide high quality original papers that would pass a plagiarism check. That is what they paid me to do for them and that is what I made sure to deliver, regardless of the type of client who hired me.

At one end of the spectrum, there are clients who are accomplished students in their own right who just don't have enough time for all of their projects; at the other end of the spectrum, there are clients who are in way over their heads in college and are simply incapable of writing anything at the college level. Most of my clients typically fall somewhere in the middle and it's really none of my business why they seek help from me. I just ask them what academic level they want in their projects and I write them at whatever level they request.

I personally don't care about why a student is asking me to write a paper for them, but the "no plagiarism" qualification makes sense since the students are paying us to write their paper. If we just go and grab another paper and give it to them with minimal changes, we are basically cheating the client. The client is paying for original work. According to the college, this is plagiarism, but it's the kind of plagiarism that they cannot get busted for, which is what they want.

And it's in our best interest to write an original paper since students who use writers are going to keep coming back for more.

Bringing this up as I resonate with that first line. I don't usually care for clients, however there are clients that I empathize with because of their personal struggles in maintaining a work-life balance. Just accomplish clean and diligent work - and do your best to satisfy them.

The OP misunderstood the point of hiring a writer to work on the student papers. The reason why plagiarism is such a big deal is because the student is supposed to prove 2 things. (1) That he understood the lesson being taught and the resources of information for the paper and (2nd) , that he has the ability to explain the lesson or research material to the reader. When plagiarism exists, the student cannot prove that he learned something either from the class or the assignment. When a writer plagiarizes, that means the student ( who is assumed to have written the paper), did not really do his homework or try to understand the lesson. The student pays the writer to prove he paid attention in class, even if in reality, he slept in his seat at the back of the room. That is why plagiarism is such a big deal among students in relation to the paid writers.

It's really none of my business what my clients choose to do with my work because they own it. However, I think the issue of plagiarism is much simpler than the analysis offered above. Original writing is (understandably) much more expensive than recycled writing and/or copied material. If someone advertises "original writing," the client has every right to expect exactly what was advertised and paid for and nothing less than or different from that. Nobody wants to pay for original writing only to receive something copied and pasted; nor does anybody really need to pay someone else to copy and paste material found online. That's really all there is to this issue, IMO.
