Requesting writers - but assigned?

I ordered a paper through ET and wasn't that impressed with the paper. I made a request for a writer but did not receive that specific writer. Is there any way to ensure that I can get the writer I requested?

If you've requested a writer and they didn't take your order, there's a reason. You can't force a writer to take your order; we all work as contracted freelancers, and only take the work we want.

Requesting a WriterIf you use an ordering system that allows you to select our names from a list, the order is only visible to us for the first 3 hours and we get an email notifying us that we've been requested. If we don't see it during that time, it goes public for any writer to take after 3 hours. If we see it and just choose not to take that particular order, we release it so that it goes public immediately.

If you use an ordering system that requires you to just type out your request for us in the box (or you do it that way instead of using an available drop-down selection function), it gets posted publicly, we don't get any email notice, but it's not supposed to get taken by other writers for at least 3 hours. Honor system.

If we've done work for you before, you can use an older order to access the messaging system and ask whether we're available for another topic. That way, we're less likely to miss it and we can also tell you why we may not want that particular paper and suggest another writer we happen to know is good in that area.

If you don't want the paper unless it's by your chosen writer, put that in the order and say you want a refund if your chosen writer (or a specific alternate writer by name) isn't available.

Then, nobody else will take it and it will be refunded. And if someone else does take it, you can demand a refund...but don't do that unless you have already decided that you don't want the paper unless your writer takes it, because there are many good writers besides Pheelyks, ResearchPro, and me.

Poster...and infact all students.....just look at the replies from pheelyks and Freelancewriter;
A) Who sounds more genuine?
B)who sounds more mature?
c)Who- amongst the two- gives a detailed response?
Make your decision
@pheelyks- the more you post on this forum, the more you lose credibility. Was surprised to learn that due to your low level skills and of 'an attitude problem' , Freelancewriter can charge $200 for a paper while you can only charge $ 100.....mmmmmm(remember the biscuit thread?)

@all students: quality is costly. Good customer service is costly.

I don't have any argument with you, but I'd really appreciate it if you just left me completely out of your arguments with Pheelyks and stopped drawing comparisons between us. I've said repeatedly that while we are direct competitors, I can personally vouch for his legitimacy, honesty, and writing ability, and I consider us to be equals. I don't believe any of the negative comments here about him. I do believe that there are some outright frauds and horrible writers here, but I know that he's not one of them. Your problem with him (and with WB) is none of my business and I'd really like to keep it that way. Thank you.

Hi, I am new to this site, so please could you explain what ET is? As I would very much like to contact some of the writers here but as I am new the system will not let me. Thanks.

Yes. If you find that the paper was assigned to a different writer, you can contact client support and request that the paper be taken from the currently assigned writer and assigned to your writer of choice. This is something that you can do only after the time allotment for your specified writer has passed and another writer has taken the order from the system. Having the paper taken from one writer and assigned to a different writer is something that sometimes happens. When I was still active as an academic writer, there were instances when orders I took from the server got taken out of my Works In Progress list with the message that the client requested for a different writer to work on the paper. I never took that as an affront to the quality of my work. Rather, I considered it a simple mistake on the part of the company as they allowed the order to lapse without contacting the requested writer before the deadline on his option. You can safely request for the reassignment of the paper to your requested writer without any incurring any additional charges for it. It was a mistake on the company's part and they are always accommodating when it comes to clients requesting for specific writers. The rate for the CPP is higher for both the writer and client due to the "Requested" status of the paper anyway.

Yes. If you find that the paper was assigned to a different writer, you can contact client support and request that the paper be reassigned.

Ordinarily -- at least at the companies with which I have first-hand experience as a writer -- customers don't ever find out which writer took the project until it's delivered. There's no confirmation or screen displaying the writer ID; in fact, the only way the client even knows after the fact is that (most) writers put their company names on the cover sheet. The messaging system just says "Writer" and "Customer" without divulging either one's ID to the other; so the only way you could confirm that your requested writer took the project is for that writer to send you a message confirming that in the body of the message, which is not something we'd normally do, because when we get requests, we simply take them if we want them or ignore them if we don't.

When we don't take a request, it simply gets posted publicly for all writers after a few hours (and I was the writer who eventually got the company for which I did the most writing to extend that reserve period from just 3 hours to 6 hours, but only after asking for that quite a few times). Before then, I might wake up to an email notifying me that a project requested me 5 or 6 hours earlier that was already gone because it had gone public while I was sleeping. Many times, if I saw a request for a writer I knew and it was about to go public, I'd take it and send both that writer and Admin an email notifying both that I took it just to protect it for that writer and then Admin would reassign it after the writer responded. If we didn't protect one another that way, the order would just get taken by someone else and (depending on the deadline) completed before it could be reassigned.

Generally, even if the company provides a mechanism to request specific writers, they still reserve the right to allow other writers to take the order. However, if you want to protect yourself and restrict their right to do that you can: Just make it explicitly clear in your order that you only want the project if that particular writer takes it and specifically state that you want a refund instead of the project if that particular writer doesn't take it. That way, it becomes an explicit term of the contract and your credit card company will take your side if a different writer takes the order and you dispute the charge for that reason. I can't speak to how they dealt with other writers (because I discovered that varies substantially based largely on the relationship established between writers and the customer service reps), but I didn't necessarily take every project requesting me, even that expressly; it's always still my choice what projects to take or reject.

The academic writing companies that value the return business of their client will normally move mountains to make sure that the client retains the services of their preferred writer. There are some instances though when this is not possible. A writer might not be assigned to an order for several reasons such as:

1. The writer is a new or junior writer and his assignment allotment has been maximized (in which case a special request might be made by the company depending on the writer's ratings);

2. The writer is currently not accepting new writing assignments;
3. The writer has a full schedule and has declined the work order due to deadline considerations for his other orders;
4. The writer is no longer connected with the company.

It is always best that the client inquire first about the availability of a preferred writer prior to placing an order. This will ensure that the client will be assigned to his writer of choice. Since the writer ID number automatically shows up during communications with the client once the order is placed, the client can cancel his order if he finds that the order was not assigned to his writer of choice.

I second what @Write Review mentioned. It is important that if you are seeking the services of a particularwriter (and that you trulydo not want to get any output from anyone else regardless of the insistence of the writing agency), then you should check in first if the writer is available. Most writers who work in these agencies (if not all) are freelancers, therefore they have the right to turn down activities. In this instance, the writing agency will perhaps reach out to you that your preferred writer is unavailable, therefore they need to opt to other writers. (If they don't consider doing this, I would suggest moving to a different agency if you are not in a rush. It's only common courtesy to do so.)

I think it is also good to note that you cannot truly make sure that you get the writer that you requested for. A lot of these data can easily be, for instance, forged by some companies. Because of this, make sure that you reach out the service of a well-trusted academic writing agency to ensure the quality of output regardless of which writer would handle it.

I never encountered a company that forged the ID of a requested writer, but I used to get requests for short projects with long deadlines (in which I couldn't possibly have had less interest) all the time. Usually, it was from clients for whom I'd previously written a much longer rush project. It's not that I didn't sympathize with their desire to stick with the same writer whose work they liked, but I write to make the best possible living from the whatever time I choose to spend working and not as some kind of charitable enterprise, and I couldn't afford to spend any time writing projects for $10/page, which was the payout for projects with long deadlines. I once got a message from the company telling me not to take projects unless I was prepared to take follow-ups for those projects and I responded that: (A) there's no way to know which projects might require "follow-ups" and (B) I couldn't find that clause anywhere in the contract I'd signed with them, but that we could possibly discuss all that when we get around to discussing the health insurance plan that the company was prepared to offer me and the W-2 that they'd be providing instead of my 1099. The issue never came up again.

Depending upon the workload of a particular writer, the company may or may not be receptive to a student requesting for an assignment to be specifically given to a particular writer. When that writer happens to be in demand, the company will contact the writer and ask if he can still accommodate a work request. The writer then has the prerogative to say no. The student will be told this and then given the opportunity to seek the services of another writer at the company. There are time though when the student opts to wait for the availability of the writer instead. Those are the students willing to go on a wait list since the paper is still far from due and, are willing to pay premium prices to get the writer that they want for their assignment.
