There are some professors who just want the students to turn in a paper so he can mark him as having accomplished the course requirement. These are the students who are not too particular about the papers presented and just want to pass the students at the end of the term. If a student gets a professor like that, then he won't get caught. However, if a professor is strict, he will be looking for certain telltale signs of a bought paper. Super intense professors will even have their own personal database of papers to compare the submission to, aside from the software he uses for plagiarism checks. It's really a delicate situation. That is why I tell the students to change up the "model" paper once submitted to them. They need to somehow, put their personality into the paper. Some grammar errors, paraphrased sections, and other unique student writing traits or indicators often helps get the paper past the professor.
