How to get essay, term paper, and dissertation/thesis ads removed from Google AdWords

WritersBeware

In may of 2007, Google officially banned all "academic assistance" sites from advertising in Google AdWords. Unfortunately, Google has not been a very good enforcer of its own rules. Why? Money. Google enacted the ban to appease the legions of college professors around the world who signed petitions for Google to block such ads. It is not in Google's best monetary interests to remove the ads, which is why Google almost always needs a nudge from a concerned "educator" and "parent" who is furious about Google not enforcing the ban.

POLICY:
------------------------
Academic Aids

Don't promote unacceptable academic aids.

Advertising is not permitted for academic aids. This includes 'test-taking' services in which someone takes an exam for someone else and academic paper-writing services providing custom/pre-written theses, dissertations, etc.

Source: adwords.google
------------------------

Google Academic AidsREPORT VIOLATORS:

Are you an AdSense publisher?(NO)

Type of ad: (TEXT)

Where did you view the ad?(Google search results)

[Paste the violating links]

What type of feedback do you have on this ad (and/or its landing page)?(This ad appears to violate AdWords policies in other ways)

The only keywords that Google AdWords has completely blacklisted are the following:

term paper
term papers
custom essay
custom essays
custom thesis
custom dissertation
custom research paper
custom research papers
custom dissertations

That's it, folks! It's a fairly superficial "ban," don't you think? With all of Google's billion-dollar capabilities, are we really supposed to believe that it could not do a better job of policing its own contracts?

As of March 21, 2010, the following sites are violating the advertising guidelines of Google AdWords:

academicpaperhelp.blogspot.com
academicwritingadvice.blogspot.com
academicwritinghelp.net
customessayhelp.org
domypaperforme.com
easyessayhelp.com
essaysreasy.net
essaywriters.com
essaywritingadvice.net
great-papers.blogspot.com
justfitstudio.com

proessay.com
professionalessay.com
rapidwriters.net
reliableessay.com
researchpaper.customessayhelp.org
researchpaperadvice.net
superiorpaper2.us
top-qualitywriter.com
writingpedia.com

Take a very hard look at each of the sites listed above. What does nearly every one of them have in common? That's right-they are ripoff sites from Ukraine, Pakistan, and India, whose owners don't give the slightest damn about either US/UK laws or Google AdWords guidelines. Do customers really expect these ripoff sites to honor their money or contracts?

The sites listed above have paid for their violating ads to be displayed for one or more of the following keywords:

college dissertation

I urge anyone who is concerned with stopping fraud and protecting consumers to report these AdWords violators.

Ah, the Ukrainian fraudster from EssayWriters.net returns! How have you been, criminal?

The attorney to which I refer has absolutely no connection to the AdWords department, simpleton. She represents Google in matters regarding Google's adherence to existing law and court orders.

Google established that they don't want advertise some sites, it's their law. Maybe she could send the Google order to herself?

I urge anyone who is concerned ABOUT stopping fraud and protecting consumers to ignore every post made by WritersBeware.

Why?

Well, she is a proven liar who has constantly and falsely accused legitimate essay companies of being scams and frauds.

Why?

Well, because she has close connections to certain essay sites so has a vested interest in attempting to disparage her competition!

Very desperate, yes, and utterly ineffective despite her panicky please to get anyone who reveals the truth 'banned' (by a website that has no legitimacy actually; if it did, she would have been banned for her lies years ago...)

Students: you have to USE YOUR BRAINS and not believe everything you read on some silly forum set up by a commercial company in the USA. Get wise, people!

WB - you really are deluded and psychotic. Poor thing.

Well, hello there!

Once again, I request that nobody take my word at face value. Any time I make a substantive claim, I support if with verifiable evidence. Regardless, if you would like clarification or additional evidence, please ask me and I will be glad to oblige.

Unlike the resident psycho, "Student Advice" (who has already been banned 16 times under different usernames), I don't own an essay ripoff site from the UK that is doing incredibly poorly due, in part, to the evidence of its fraud that has been posted in this forum and elsewhere.

I find it quite sad when failed, crooked businessmen like "StudentAdvice" take their frustration out on innocent parties.

WritersBeware - you wouldn't know EVIDENCE if it slapped you around the face with a wet fish and said: HI, MY NAME IS EVIDENCE!!!

You have NEVER posted ANY EVIDENCE on this forum.

You just spout lies and libel and your twisted paranoid opinions and then state that that is EVIDENCE!

Someone needs a dictionary for Christmas - here's a clue: it's not me!

EVIDENCE means verifiable information. NOT your unfounded and dumb allegations and opinions YOU FOOL!

For example, you call me a failed and crooked businessman. So, where is your 'EVIDENCE' for that, b**-h?

There is none. Why? Because I am not a failed or crooked businessman!

You however are a PROVEN liar and libeller! Your last post is EVIDENCE of this: yet another unfounded allegation and accusation from the compulsive liar loonie called WritersBeware.

I own no essay site NUTTER! And believe me, lies from you would not hurt any business at all: delusions of grandeur is EVIDENCE of your serious mental illness, you sad mad old woman!

Innocent parties? What like all those posters and essay sites you have libelled and lied about in your 5000+ posts?

I would FULLY support a site that exposed fraud and essay scams. This is not it. This site is just a forum for posters who lie and libel innocent posters and essay sites, sometimes through ignorance and malice, sometimes as a business strategy (to disparage the competition).

I have seen NO EVIDENCE AT ALL from you or anyone that the essay sites that have wisely chosen not to be lied about by mentalists like you on this forum are in any way scam sites - you know PSYCHO, your saying something does not make it true!!! (and who are you exactly? A nutter with too much time on your hands because your business failed! HA HA! LMAO!)

Learn when you are beaten WB you psychotic old hag!

Violations of ADWORDS Ignored by Essay Writing Services

I am writing to bring to the attention of EssayScam and Google a VERY serious issue.

According to Adwords, Essay Writing Services are deemed unethical and thus not allowed to be shown.

However, literally hundreds of companies still advertise these services on Adwords.

I have attached here a list of KEYWORDS, the ADWORDS ID SHOWING, and the PAGE it's linking to. I have divided these into .Co.UK and .COM

WHY IS GOOGLE PERMITTING A VIOLATION OF THEIR POLICIES.

What are the titles / descriptions those sites typically use? I guess google relies on automation and while they probably won't allow to use the 'hard-core' terms 'custom essays' or 'custom term papers', they may ignore phrases like 'tutoring services' or 'academic paper editing' etc.

When corporations make money, they are happy to continue. Rules are there in case of a VERY UNLIKELY lawsuit (if there are rules, there is no malicious intention by default).

Google will continue to allow academic ads in their search engines because that is where the money is. They will not control something that they benefit from directly. That threat is just their legal department asking them to cover their behinds in case someone decides to sue Google for allowing the misrepresenting companies to continue advertising in their search engines. Years later and the search engine even redirects the people searching to the companies that offer 15% discount on academic papers. Just like the big tech company that they are, they now feel that they are above the law and any agreements they entered into with universities is non binding and non-enforceable. They will do as they please to get their hands on the almighty dollar. Who is going to stop them anyway right?

Google Adwords will always allow academic writing sites to advertise their services. They just don't want it to be too straightforward. They prefer that is happen as organically as possible for a writing company. Say, by using hashtags or something similar. Do not advertise your company as an academic writing service directly because that will result in a straight out ban on your posting, advertisement, or company. Try typing in Write My Essay in Google search to better understand what I mean.

I believe PayPal has also 'banned' essay mills, and yet one of my mills pays me with Paypal.

The PayPal ban on salaries paid by essay mills to their writers is a joke. There are ways to get around that ban, usually during the registration of the company. Yes, essay mills and some students directly pay their writers using PayPal. The beauty of paying via PayPal is that the refund coverage clause is in place to protect the students, who pay for "digital services" under the system. It is still the most popular way to pay for these writing services.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.

There are other payment processors that provide identical two-way protection, in addition to flagging fraudulent/stolen credit cards much better than PayPal, but plenty of writers still use PayPal without any issues.
