Hi, guys I really need your help,

It was my first time buying an essay and it's been terrible I don't know what to do.

2 months ago I contacted one of the writing companies to write my essay and everything went well. the guy I talked with on their website took my number and we continued to talk on Whatsapp about the essay. I paid about 50 pounds if I remember correctly for 60% and above mark and he told me if you want to get it faster pay extra and i did. On the draft day, I got a 40% mark! I talked to him regarding this stupid mark I got and then I got my essay rewritten but he made me pay 55 pounds more.

UK Writer ThreatHe called to convince me to pay because I didn't want to as it's not my fault I paid for 60% mark and all I got was 40%. The rewritten essay was good but I told him that It is too long and I want him to get it shorter, but he started to ignore me and never replied. This was the last time I contacted them and it was a month ago. After that, I blocked him on Whatsapp because I felt that I don't need them anymore and he ignored me.

Yesterday, I received a revision email from their company for the two essays I ordered before. Telling me "We would like to inform you that your order has been revised". But I didn't even ask for a revision!! are they trying to play me or what?

I went to their website I started the chat (I'm copy-pasting it):

Student: Hello
George has joined the conversation
George: Hi there
George: How can I assist you today ?
Student: Can you check when my order will be delivered <<( I was trying to fool them )
Student: *****@*****.com
George: There is no Order in Process we have delivered the revision and I can see that you have to Pay us the remaining balance.

Student: What remaining balance

Student: and asked to edit it and paid 55 pounds
Student: that's it
George: Yes we do as well
George: But after that we have revised the worka dnt he fee is due
George: I will get the legal dept involved into this
George: 100.00 gbp is due
George: We will take certain necessary legal actions against you where pour legal solicitor will address the concern in-front of the authorized person
Student: I don't get this
George: You will come up to know son when the legal attorney will call you into the university
Student: Send me the transcript when I ordered the revision
Student: ?
George: You shoudl have it
George: anywyas
Student: How lol
Student: i will pay
Student: once you send me the transcript
Student: I'm waiting for you my friend
George: Anyways, We will call you to the university by monday
George: There will show all of the eveidences
Student: I think that I mentioned the payment will be done
Student: i didn't say I won't
Student: but I need the conversation
Student: for my own reasons
Student: Also if you don't know
Student: I paid extra last time for the writer's fault and it was his mistake for writing about whole different subject
Student: but I paid
George: Wait I am on call with soliciator
George: Let me ask him to to ask our legal attorney Mr. Roy wilson to join this chat
George: Nwaaira

-----------

I exit their site and started getting phone calls from UK AND US numbers. After that, their ""legal attorney Mr. Roy wilson"" sent me messages on whatsapp and I went to block him.

(
Hey there
This is Roy Wilson from Legal department
I am trying to call you from writing company
Tomorrow we are going to expose you in your university
as you have violated academic breach
and will ensure to black list you from District council education board
we will ensure to penalize you for 5000 pounds
)

Guys please tell me is this is real or fake?? I'm afraid they have my adress and real name bc I filled the payment form with my real information.

Ignore them. If you pay, they'll fu'k you up. If you don't pay, they'll fu'k you up.

The only thing about it that might not be fake is that they might actually be vindictive enough to follow through with their threat to expose you to your university. If your priority is recouping your money, file a dispute with PayPal (or with your cc company if you paid directly with a cc) and provide the full email and chat history. If your priority is avoiding problems with your university, ignore any further contact from them, don't file any claim, and just cut your losses, but don't antagonize them or ridicule their obvious nonsense about their "solicitor" or "legal department." Either way, you should not use any of the project, so you're not actually in violation of any university policies or honor codes. If they contact your university, your response should be that you only intended to use the product as a model for your own work. You're probably safest forgetting about the money already lost and just finding another service provider after doing better research into any writer or company you're considering, this time. Also, do not pay them anything more, because if they realize that you'll give in to blackmail, they'll probably continue making more demands for money.

It is too long and I want him to get it shorter, but he started to ignore me and never replied. This was the last time I contacted them and it was a month ago.

When you sent this message, you were essentially asking for another revision, BUT the fact that they waiting a month to revise and reply to you is unprofessional. That alone would be grounds for the revision to shorten to be free --at least through any legit, reputable company.

Based on the verbiage of the chat transcript, sadly, you were working with a very bad company whose qualifications are not academic level by any stretch of the imagination.

I am sorry you have encountered this issue. Also, I don't believe "Roy Wilson" is any more an attorney than I am. "Roy's" command of the English language is as poor as "George's".

I'd definitely NOT use any company or writer whose command of English (speaking or written via chat/email/app) is not excellent.

I also agree with @FreelanceWriter... you should not use the work. I know that means you are out the money you paid for the assistance, but it will be less costly in the long run.

Let us know the outcome and best to you! :)

The OP had no idea when he hired the services that he would be dealing with a third rate con company. That is why the company and its representatives tried to blackmail him into paying for a non-existent service. The con is all over the conversation that they had and the "legal representative" did not do anything to convince me otherwise. For starters, his use of the English language reeks of a third world high school education. Then, the threat itself cannot be enforced because it does not seem like the student gave them any identifying marks to use against him. I can understand why the student would feel threatened in this instance. I don't believe that he had anything to fear though as he could have easily turned the tables on the company by filing a charge back claim. They were playing the shock and intimidation game and all the student had to do was shock and intimidate them right back with either his own legal representation or simply having them refund the money he paid for the lousy service. That would have stopped them for sure.

These companies will only try to run the con on ESL students in college. These students are not familiar with the US and UK legal landscape which is why they can easily be intimidated. He did not need to pay them any attention as the best way to call their bluff was to allow them to do their worst. I suspect that his simply ignoring them would have actually resulted in them backing off because they knew they could not do anything academically or legally to the student. It is their word against the student's explanation. Besides, based on the way this student writes, I bet that the essay he submitted was most likely representative of his English writing skills. So the scammer would have a difficult time proving his case. Not that a university would actually take a complaint from a non-student and non-professor seriously. They only look into allegations regarding students when it is made by a professor based on evidence that the professor can produce in relation to the student's work.
