Threats for using online assignment services

I have been receiving emails of threats from an assignment company that wrote part of my thesis. Even thou I did not use their script. And I still have not submitted my thesis. They requesting for money and threatening of reporting me to my uni and also take legal actions. Has anyone experience this before. How did you deal with them?

In that case, you have nothing to worry about, because there's absolutely nothing they could possibly do to you. Don't use their work and just block every means by which they continue to contact you. Next time, only use a writer whose real, verifiable identity and location are known to you, because blackmail is impossible without anonymity.

Just ignore any subsequent messages from them and block them. Since there's nothing they can do to you, please post the name of the company to help others avoid becoming victims.

I agree. You are lucky to not have submitted the work yet. You can still make revisions that may be indicative of your having had writing help. While you said that you did not use their paper, I take that to mean that you did not copy and paste it. Rather, you used it as a reference and used your own words to state the information. That is a move that totally eliminates any claim that they might make on your paper. Just ignore them. They will stop when they see that you will not play their game.

@noted their paper was damn a mediocre. Very weak, I discard the whole part they worked on . Firstly, they couldn't do what i told them to do. I just didn't want to waste my money and afterwards i told them to draft the methodology. Unfortunately, It was bad. And ofcourse I'm not fearful I insulted them badly and block them. Certainly, their threats can't move me an inch. Even if they report me i would be glad to defend myself. I'm not literally weak in research. Infact i published my papers. And sometimes i do project for students. I was quite overwhelmed, that was why i decided to ask them work on a part of it.

I'd still advise you not to make any kind of use of their product, at all, even as a properly-referenced source. Don't put yourself in the position of (possibly) having to defend how much of it you did or didn't use, or how, to your university. Cut your losses to the absolute minimum, represented by the money that you already wasted on it. Once you use it for anything, you're exposing yourself to a non-zero risk of consequences; rather keep that risk right where it is, now, at zero.
