I've been writing for Personal Term Paper since 2003. It's a totally legit company located in Jersey. You know nothing about the actual truth of that isolated complaint. They provide approximately 12,000 papers every month and any legitimate customer complaints generate a rewrite notice to writers.

Occasionally, you get ridiculous complaints like customers who submit their papers for academic credit (which the sales contract prohibits) and then request "rewrites" 2 weeks later based on their instructors' comments.

After writing a few thousand papers, I've collected dozens of loyal repeat customers who ask for me in all their orders. In that time, I've also had a handful of idiots threaten to sue (or whatever) because they wanted papers rewritten for being "too good" which isn't a valid reason for a rewrite. One time, a kid make all sorts of ridiculous requests for stuff he never had in his original order and when his request was refused, he accused me of "plagiarizing" a simple paper that I wrote about O.J. Simpson that was 100% off the top of my head for which the only thing I even went on-line to look up at all was the correct spelling of "Bruno Magli" shoes.

I've also had complaints that all my sources were "from New York" based on the fact that most book publishers are in NYC; and another time, a customer angrily demanded to know why I "left out" the book title "written by Ibid" in the Bibliography (I'm not kidding).

In my experience, most customers are very appreciative, but like any other business, sometimes complete retards order papers and they get very angry when they're told that they can't hold us responsible for their silly mistakes. I have no idea what happened to that one customer, but I guarantee that nobody just took his payment and then never wrote the paper. He's either angry and retaliating over something else or his essay went to his spam folder or something like that. More likely, his paper was never taken off the board by any writer and he never checked his credit card statement the next month to see that his prepayment was refunded in full. (If nobody takes your paper, that's what happens, because they're charged at the time they place the order.)

I think it's irresponsible to start calling an entire company a fraudulent enterprise based on a single unsubstantiated complaint like that whose veracity you know nothing about. If anybody REALLY wants to test out Personal Term Paper Writer, just order a single page paper and request Freelance Writer in your order. I can't refute the specific complaint you linked, but I can certainly prove that if you order a paper from them, you'll receive your paper by its due date. This isn't a solicitation, either; I don't really need that single-page order.

OK, but you still owe all of us that portion of our lives back that we wasted ever since you couldn't just type the words "Oops...my bad...number of errors...LOL" after a friendly attempt at humor.

Listen WB, I was not trying to embarass you by mentioning your own grammar error in a post where you were criticizing someone else's grammar. But you're now embarassing yourself by making up these convoluted excuses instead of simply accepting that you used the wrong word. MISTAKES are capable of being counted individually. It doesn't matter whether or not their exact number is actually KNOWN. Just the same as you would refer to a huge sack of copper pennies as containing a large NUMBER of coins but a large AMOUNT of copper.

Same goes with "gluttonous": it makes no more sense to refer to a "gluttonous number of mistakes" than to a "gluttonous amount of rain."

It's no big deal. Everybody makes mistakes occasionally, even you.

W.B., I think you're reacting to good natured ball busting as though it were a personal attack. I have no reason to attack you and apologize if it came across that way, ok?

That said, the problem had nothing to do with gluttonous, but if you really want to be nitpicky about it, "gluttonous" does imply the taking, hoarding, or the consumption of something. A large number of grammar problems isn't really something one would characterize as "gluttony," you know?

The original comment was simply a reminder (on a thread discussing grammar) that amount only applies to things incapable of being counted individually, such as money, water, food, pride, etc. For anything capable of being counted individually, such as dollars, water bottles, hot dogs, mistakes, or good natured jokes, it's always number, not amount.

Venus, my only point was that Brits generally have much better grammar than American native speakers. That lousy paper is written in English replete with grammatical mistakes that nobody who learned English in the UK would ever make. Last I checked, "Brits" includes individuals of all races and ethnicities, all of whom would be equally insulted by any inference that the posted paper was written by them.

I don't do Economics, but purely from a writing perspective, I gotta say that's a pretty poorly written paper. The first sentence alone contains both inapprorpiate language for an academic paper ("have a look"??) as well as an obvious grammatical problem (it's "that affect," not "which affect" in that instance).

However, the bad sentence award of the day goes to this gem:
Unemployment rate basically depends on many other factors like, there can be a slowdown in the rate of growth of labor supply, which can be directly responsibe for the unemployment rate to come down, if there is not a pick up in demand for labor.

At least 7 specific problems in that sentence alone.

Honorable mention to this runner up:
"This gives rise to demand, which is the sum total of domestic plus external demand, which in turn gives rise to inflationary pressure resulting in inflation, another important point shown, which deserves a mention is the relationship between the exchange rate and import prices, or the price paid for imports."

Google isn't an appropriate academic source either, much less Google book search.

The writer has no clue when commas are (and aren't) required and most probably isn't even a native English speaker; there's not a chance in hell that was written by a Brit.

Please scan the hard copy showing the profesor's comments...probably needed to go to a second red pen.

It's always hit or miss as far as what writer takes your paper off the board unless you request someone whose previous work you're happy with, but that's the nature of the business in general. In the interest of full disclosure, I do write for all of them but I have absolutely no other stake in or relationship with any of them except as an independent contractor who makes an honest living writing papers for them.

I didn't even realize it was that big an issue until I stumbled onto this site. Not sure how a fraudulent business model would even work when that means 100% of business is new first-time/last-time customers.

Term Paper Writers is one of about a half dozen sites that I've been writing for since 2003 or 2004. I've never had a problem getting paid; I stand behind the quality of my work; and I have no stake or interest in E.T. or any other site except as an independent contractor. Born, raised, and lived all my life in NYC and formal degrees in History/Psychology undergrad and Law (JD) postgrad. If necessary, my identity can be verified easily because my ID is the same there as on here and specific writers can be requested anytime. Customer service sometimes lags a bit in the industry because of the volume of work but there's nothing fraudulent about E.T. whatsoever. The company is located in NJ.
