Just want to clarify a couple of points on this thread. I know the last post was in 07 so you've probably all lost interest, but just in case it catches your attention.

Oxbridge = OXford and camBRIDGE

Amy1978: I write for Oxbridge, and can confirm that they do only employ writers from Oxford and Cambridge - you have to send an email from your academic email address when joining. However, I don't doubt that a number of writers sign up and then pass over their writing accounts to non-Oxbridge people so that they can earn money. Also, being from Oxford or Cambridge does not exclude you from trying to make easy money by ripping large chunks of essays from the net. I personally don't because I'm scared it'll get caught and I need the money, but I know people who do.

From my understanding of the industry, they are one of better ones out of a very bad lot. They are a registered company with offices in England which can offer a buyer some assurance, and the fact that the writers are English is at least a start, but in terms of meeting deadlines, avoiding plagiarism and all the rest, they don't necessarily play nice. I think it's a risk of the business essentially. The service doesn't justify the extortionate amounts of money they charge, but it does justify being higher than competitors, IMHO.

Pheonix: Oxbridgeessays isn't an affiliate of academic answers - icompletely different company. It falls under the heading of the Oxbridge Research Group - which heads up oxbridgeessays and oxbridgedissertations (essentially the same thing), oxbridgeediting, oxbridgeprimaryresearch and some applications thing for investment banking. They genuinely do let you take on work as and when you want, but you're committed once you bid for a piece. It can be hard to get assigned a piece as a new writer, I think they rely on a core group of writers who they know deliver results. These writers write on a million different things that fall well outside of their degree speciality - I've written on all kinds of random crap.

Notonyourlife: You're playing the role well - keep it up for a bit and the others might catch on.
