Anyway, it was my original thinking that the custom paper writing industry has become sufficiently well known to be depicted in popular media, an issue that I found interesting and thought others might too -- especially since it's mostly negative. I can think of some other examples as well. For example, "essay mill" has found its way into Wikipedia: "An essay mill (or paper mill) helps students who seek to buy essays and other written homework and to pass off this ghostwritten work as their own. Educators generally see this as a form of academic dishonesty or academic fraud." Likewise, ABC News: "Is Plagiarism Big Business Online?".
