If you work for legit companies, there will be a steady stream of work. If you have the academic background and the personal discipline to freelance, you can certainly make a good living.

Absolute Paper Writingabsolutepapers.com = fraud

Here are a few reasons why the site is fraudulent:

1. Displays a forwarded, San Francisco phone number to fool potential customers in North America into believing that the site is "American," but it is actually located in the Philippines:

Mico Andre
7 Luzon Ave
Quezon City, Metro Manila 1113
Philippines

2. Claims to have been "named [by some imaginary person or entity] as the fastest growing customized essays company since 2004." So, they lie about receiving third-party accolades. They also lie about their age. The absolutepapers.com domain wasn't even registered until August of 2006.

3. It openly states in its job ads published around the Internet that it hires ONLY Filipino writers in the Philippines, but conveniently does not mention that critical information to CUSTOMERS on absolutepapers so as to intentionally mislead unsuspecting Americans.

Attached on merging:
absolute papers again

i confronted the editor of absolute papers about the matters concerning them in this site. he told me the following:

*americans do not trust filipino writers that's why the site intentionally misleads americans into believing that absolute is in the states.

should i believe him? is this reply acceptable?

is this reply acceptable

Of course it's NOT acceptable. They are admitted frauds! There is a well-deserved REASON why Americans do not trust them. They are ESL writers who are both unqualified to write for Americans--for many different reasons--and untrustworthy liars who boldly break consumer-protection laws to fool potential clients in the US.

I think this: If the company is willing to lie to its customers, what will stop it from lying to me too?

If you look at the different complaints by writers about not getting paid, they are invariably linked to companies that also lie to their customers.

I would do them so you don't hurt the customer(s). Hopefully you'll get paid and you can look elsewhere for more work.

Or, if you decide to not complete them, let the company know asap so they can find another writer.

[Moved from]: DON'T EVER DEAL WITH ABSOLUTEPAPERS.COM AND ADVANCEDESSAYS! ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS!

I came across this when I got my first scammed experience by Absolutepapers.com and advancedessays.com.
When I first googled the two companies, I didn't see this at all. Instead, I saw their legitimate looking websites. This is from scammedwriter posted sometime in 2008. Imagine these people have been scamming for years now. Just need to spread the word, and maybe we work towards having these companies shut for good.

Both ABSOLUTEPAPERS.COM and ADVANCEESSAYS.COM are ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS.

For writers:
Do not even try working for them.
They pay their writers 1.9 dollars per page. And then, for just some mistakes about your papers, they will hold it and will not release it forever. I still have more than 100 dollars with them. They said that they will do something do about it. I consistently asked for my salary but they would just fabricate a lot of excuses. And when they ran out of excuses, they will ignore your calls and e-mails. They even blocked me in Gmail so that I will not know if they are online.

For clients:
Do not order papers from them. Yesterday, I learned that their qualifications are damn low. I pretended that I want to work for their company. I said that I do not have a formal experience in writing and that our high school newspaper was the only venue I had. They said, it's ok and that I can continue working with them. I passed a plagiarized paper. They asked me to revise it; but I changed nothing with it. I learned that they gave it to their client. I only did that to test the company. Please do not order papers from the two companies. They are owned by the same people. Their support are fooling their clients by claiming that their names are "jenny Smith" and "beatrice kiddo" while in fact, the persons behind those are just jerry and tommy who are both filipinos who cannot even check their grammar.

This is not just a simple act of sour graping. I just want to warn my fellow writers and the clients about these scammers.

I got my first inkling that I may not be dealing with trustworthy people when I received a reply to my email which was so poorly constructed. I expected excellent grammar, etc. But boy, even "maam" was incorrectly spelled. And indeed I received a job but in it were two topics and I went happily writing thinking I would be paid for four pages. To my horror, no! I'm gonna be paid only Ph90 for all my splendid writing! So I asked them, do you yourself write? For you seem to have no respect for writers. Such a shame! Earning money by ripping people off, that's just not fair. So anyone who has had a bad experience with these companies, let's join hands! It's important that the clients overseas know of their practices and most important our very own writers here! Let's spread the word and stop these evil people!

From their 'Why us?' section:

"The majority of custom essay writers hold academic degrees in different academic fields."

Concerning much? I'd hope that this applied to ALL of their writers.

Filipinos are some of the biggest scam artists in the world. They cannot be trusted to tell the truth when it comes to their jobs. I had the unfortunate experience of hiring a Filipino writer for my company as there was a paper requiring some Philippine Sociology expertise that came into my company. This writer was referred to me by a friend, who must have been envious of my success. This writer did not only turn in the most imbecilic paper I have ever read, he actually demanded to be paid for a paper that was written using 2 left feet. I would never trust a company coming out of that country or a writer employed by a company coming out of the Philippines. They are just too much of a headache to deal with.

With all of the evidence that exists regarding the fraudulent nature of this company, one will have to wonder why it is still in existence as of today. The only explanation I can think of is that the company writers manage to deliver what the students need, regardless of the actual location of the company. It is not the first company to misrepresent its global location. I think that for as long as the company and its writers can provide the work as necessary, then it does not matter where they are located.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.

Apparently, there will always be enough students who don't do their due diligence before choosing a writer for these kinds of companies to survive, relying substantially on dissapointed first-time/last-time customers.
