Hello writers.

This is a warning. There is this site brilliantwritings.com, they don't pay or answer any queries about finances.

I have uploaded their order portal so you know what it looks like and a pay request form. Be warned.

Is brilliantwritings.com a scam? Anyone has any experiences working for it?

I'm thinking of applying to brilliantwritings.com but not sure if it's a scam.

Oh my, what terrible pay rates! A phrase including peanuts and monkeys comes to mind.

Well, here is something that I just found out. Their top visitors to their site are people from Kenya and Pakistan. Their location is in the USA but the address looks unreliable. It appears that their most frequent visitors are the writers employed by their 3rd rate academic writing company. Their claim to fame is that they do not have a registration fee for the writers to sign up. What kind of company would have a writer pay for his account at the company when everyone knows that there is a profit sharing scheme being run by the company owner? That doesn't make sense. Any writing company that asks a writer to pay a fee has to be a scam. The problem is, so is brilliantwritings.com.

Their site blurbs are too good to be true. They seem to be so fair to the writers which we all know is a bunch of stinking cow doo. I am amazed that they manage to stay in business and that their rankings are impressive overall. I guess their student associates are very good at their jobs. They can convince the students to pay for work and the writers, to work for no pay.

The site name "brilliantwritings.com" would make me pause in and of itself. "Brilliant Writings" just has a cheap ring to it, not to mention it the antithesis of "brilliance."

I checked the "about" page and it's a joke. Just take a look at the errors I marked in the attached image--and that's not all of them. I can literally see dozens of grammar errors on every page. I can only imagine the type of "writings" the company provides. Seriously, guys, BW is a joke!

Shocker

How does an address look unreliable?

What's strange about a site for writers being mostly frequented by writers?

work for no pay

That's true. $1.5/pg for a 24hr-deadline paper is equal to no pay

Considering that the company never does pay its writers, and they are constantly hiring writers, I wonder how they even manage to fulfill orders. Even more amazing, is that it has a 19% referral rate. How does that happen? Perhaps they service only the ESL crowd. This is the crowd of students who would not know what a bad English paper looked like even if it was a snake that swallowed them whole and spat them out. I guess those 19% students wee just so happy to pass a paper, regardless of the grade that they appreciated the lousy work a lot. This is one case where the clueless students actually help to keep a scam going. Unless the students wise up, the unpaid writers don't stand a chance. No amount of complaining will get them paid. Hold it, I take it back. The writers don't matter, the con will keep going because there are always third world writers out there looking for any job they can get. The company has seats to fill, it's the perfect partnership. People who use this service deserves the paper and grade they get.

The thing with idioms is, you're not supposed to get creative with them. You're supposed to pass them on. It's like a badge of authenticity; good luck getting one.

I am not sure when this company finally closed shop but it eventually did. Right now, the domain has reverted to GoDaddy.com and is on the "auction" block. I am not sure if that means the domain will go to the highest bidder or what. I just know that it is currently for sale and it does not have any hope of being sold anytime soon. The company has too much of a negative reputation for the name to be seen in a good light should it be revived by the buyer.

I don't think "Brilliant Writing" would have been a bad name, but only an ESL writer would have pluralized Writing.
