@pheelyks tried to warn the OP. He was charging rates that were too low for the business, even as he used a free web server to house his site. I think that is where his problems began though. An independent writer who cannot afford to pay for an ad free web server will not be able to convince any clients that he has the kind of quality and ability that they look for in a writer. The free website comes with a free email address, both of which will make the potential client think twice and consider the service a scam. These are, no doubt, the primary reasons why he was not able to make a go of the business. He just could not raise the funds to do so since he did not know how to properly price his services.
