Kenyan Writers Exposed

Ah, Kenyan freelance writers. I joined this forum after reading numerous posts about you.

Fun facts about Kenyan writers:

1. Most of them did not make it to university.
2. If they did, most of them dropped out.
3. They take jobs that pay $0.01 only to outsource them to the writers I referred to in the first entry of this list.
4. They screw over their clients.
5. They screw over their fellow writers.
6. Yes, some of them operate in cartels.
7. Only 10% of them are competent.
8. Be wary of essay-writing services. About 90% of those 'American professors' are actually Kenyans.
9. I could provide a list of essay-writing services that they have completely taken over but I'm not sure if that's allowed here.

All the above statements are facts.

It's a true and concise summary, congratulations ; ) I'd like to see the list you refer to; could you post it here (you may remove http:// not to create hyperlinks to them). And the comments above likely apply to other unqualified freelance 'writers' who pretend to be what they are not.

Are people allowed to send pictures here? I have a lot of evidence - screenshots of them selling these accounts and students (clients) in some of their forums.

I didn't say that those websites are owned by Kenyans. What I meant was that most of the people who pose on those websites as 'American professors' and whatnot are actually Kenyans.

Yes, when an "essay writer"'s profile mentions 'professor' or 'PhD' - the profile is surely fabricated..
Btw - what are these pictures about, are these from Facebook or something?

But aren't you Kenyan yourself? Mr. @petergriffin thinks we're so stupid on this forum. How were you able to dig through all that info if you're not Kenyan? Do you spend all your time stalking Kenyan writers? I mean, some of the language used there can only be understood by native Kenyans themselves.

You see it does not matter how you brand us Kenyans but the fact remains the destiny of this industry is in Kenya. Our bids are realistic and works of quality. Just log in to some of those writing websites available and you will see customers claiming i want a writer by the name Musembi, Kamau, Omondi or others why not your name. The answer is simple quality work and dedication.

Nightstar have you read your books clearly. I bet not since you should know that tackling a practical is the best way for a students, thus Kenyans writing about development is in itself a practical way to solve this issues more favorably than those countries mentioned above. Yes, Kenyans late development doesn't mean we are economically impotent, i believe we are doing much better than some of you elsewhere. At least, i can afford to fuel my car and pay my bills without much of a hustle. So am just asking you judge me not from my country of birth but from the quality of work i do.

Bubba, we are just keeping from the story even though the words have changed.

I received an unsolicited email from a seemingly-legit Kenyan writer recently asking me for advice about getting into this industry. She provided what seemed to be her full ID info and what seemed to be a genuine resume and she seemed quite sincere. However, I had to tell her that her emails alone made it obvious to me that she just didn't have the necessary writing ability to do this job. If you can't compose a mistake-free email, you can't write academic projects (or much else) for a living.

Every time I see an issue such as this one on this forum regarding Kenyan writers, I shudder and think I need to quicken my exit from this industry as one Kenyan writer who prides herself in honesty, quality and a relentless drive for self-improvement. Being born and raised here has shown me that the issue that presents itself in the writing industry is by far deeper than that. It is a reflection of our culture- a culture that does not value honesty in the way it should be valued.

When I see Writologist's reply to the claims made by PeterGriffin, it saddens me that that reply is the best he could come up with as a defense to the accusation. There isn't even a hint of remorse, a desire to change, or at least be different if change is impossible. It's just baseless accusations that only make the bad name Kenyans have for themselves even worse.

Anyway, my sincere hope is that within a year, my detailed plan to exit this industry will work well.

I take it then that you do not have a desire to try and change the image of the Kenyan writers within the industry? You know, it takes a few good apples to change the image of the bad ones. Since you claim to be one of the few honest ones stemming from Kenya, why would you wish to leave the industry? I can't be just that you are sickened by the image and reputation that Kenyan writers have. The way we view Kenyan writers in general is a testimony to the fact that nobody has tried to effectively change our minds about it. It is obvious from your post that you do not have any strong defense for the words posted in this thread either. Perhaps you are trying to clean your conscience by telling us that you plan to exit the industry. While is a welcome response (as we hope all unskilled Kenyan writers would do the same and opt out of the business), it would appear that there is more to your decision than you let on. Anyway, I wish you well and that your exit plan materializes for you. Best of luck in whatever industry you plan to enter into next.

You understand that in order to clean the image Kenya has in this industry, the ideal situation would be one where any honest Kenyan would look at a message such as that posted by the OP and say it was complete bull. With that in mind, and knowing how difficult it would be, I feel that the slight judgement you show when you say I should try and change such an image is undeserved.

Apart from the negative image, there are obviously other thoughts that make me feel that the industry is just not the best. One, at a very personal level, I feel that even my most appreciative clients don't need my help as a Kenyan. They may need the services of an essay writer but there's no need to help people who could easily help themselves while my neighbours live a life I wouldn't want to live.

Another reason I personally want to leave is the overwhelming realization recently that upgrading my education in this country would take slightly more than a year of disciplined savings, if during that year I kept the pace of earning from previous years.

Anyway, leaving the industry is a challenge in my opinion. The negative image Kenya has only makes my already present desire to do it stronger.

By the way, Kisha and RandomRandom are the same person, in case there's any confusion.

All negativity attacking the perceived unprofessional characteristics of Kenyan writers features high-level malice, prejudice and under deep scrutiny can be considered pure racism. Kenya does not have bogus writers as purported here. The only problem is the companies and their level of greed. For example, essaywriters.net.DND and affiliates, alongside Uvocorp affiliates are operating the greatest slavery scheme of the 21st century. Many of their writers (whom 30% happens to be Kenyan legitimately or 50% illegitimately owning the account under a European or American profile- ESL and ENL) are deeply entrenched in poverty.

Under these levels, the writer is paid $1.4 - $3.8 (low seasons) per page, and peak seasons, they are paid $3-$6, while the reality is the client could have paid as much as $30 per page. I have personally landed problems with clients who claim that I should do a second paper (for a friend, or in case some instructions have been missing in the previous order) since he or she paid $30 or above. ESL foreign companies such as essaywriters.net.DND and affiliates - connected to bestessays.com.DND/ UK, their default Essay request service and almost every other academic writing website are some of the brutal platforms outside there. With time, the writer becomes very frustrated and has to do over 20 pages a day to make ends meet.

With this kind of workload being handled on daily basis, the writer reaches high fatigue levels, and occasionally, sticking to quality, time and instructions become impossible. I have also interacted with another company - writedom.com. The company uses speedypaper.com as their essay writing request service platform, charging applicants $20 per page, depending on urgency and complexity. It is only logical the client expects a high-quality paper, but the real writer is enslaved to do the paper, might be struggling to meet this threshold, against odds of 1/10. Survival tactics, such as the above, buying and sell accounts, became the default means to survive support's offensive if not cruel measures of Quality Control. Furthermore, the writer who excels and is promoted to better levels of payment enslaves other Kenyan writers paying them as low as $2.

Either way, most end writers will always be paid $2.5-$3.5 regardless of the complexity or urgency of the paper. Their basic reasoning, Kenya is a poor country, where writers live with Elephants in the Park. As such, they do not need much to survive, and they should be grateful for the $1.4 they receive as the country's Cost of Living are one of the lowest in the world, while employment is extremely scarce. I would request many clients to directly contact the writer and create a bond; otherwise, companies will continue ripping this industry apart with their greed, while in reality, they do not write these papers.

The only problem is the companies and their level of greed.

Yes, part of the problem and a factor leading to the current perception of Kenyan writers is the fact that the majority of all essay companies operate on greed and deception. They will hire anyone regardless of his/her literary ability or lack thereof. While few (very few), there are some decent Kenyan writers, but they're unlikely to be given a chance because of what scammers have done to the industry. Note: by decent, I mean average in terms of being able to produce a passable or average essay. HOWEVER, passable doesn't equal good. Even those who are capable of producing an average level essay, there are clear distinctions in the writing. It is not possible for a non-native English-speaking writer to writer 100% accurate English, even if the writer has the strongest educational background. From the time a person is born throughout life, one's native culture and language are embedded in all they do and say. Even the best Kenyan writer is no more capable of producing 100% accuracy than I would be in producing 100% accurate text in Spanish or French. Anyone can learn another language but we cannot unlearn our own culture... and THAT is what shows in how we craft the written word. Now, couple that with the majority of ESL writers who work for the bottom-feeders in this industry and you have a recipe for disaster.

At the end of the day, we can all blame the greedy and deceptive companies for how Kenyan writers are perceived. These companies know the writers they are bringing on board need to make a living and they prostitute them as writers. Instead of being a vehicle for improvement and real assistance, the scum companies are nothing less than ESL writer pimps... and everyone suffers (the customer, all writers regardless of nationality, and the industry as a whole). The only one who doesn't suffer? The scum companies making the big bank deposits while having little to no overhead costs!

Well, there have been some cases where Kenyan writers actually finish their studies and enter into the writing profession, just so they can save money to be able to afford advanced studies overseas. They work for the dollars that they will be using to further their academic training, which in turn, will hopefully get them out of the squalor they live in. Those educated Kenyans that I know of prefer to write only topics within their actual undergraduate studies. They do not pose as anything but an undergraduate writer and they actually have pretty decent English writing skills. These Kenyan writers should not be grouped with the other bad Kenyan scammers. There are actually some of them who prefer to do right by their clients and they want to earn their money honestly. No scamming, no pretending, no pretenses. Those are the Kenyan writers who should be coming to this forum to help further their life ambitions through writing academic papers.

I thought UVOCorp was Philippines owned and based? That was what I gathered when I last checked on the registration of that company. Was it originally Kenyan owned? Anyway, I realize that the post is about Kenyan writers and I have to add a warning to what has already been said, Kenyan writers are now relying heavily on AI for their personal and business writing needs. So if you have a Kenyan writer working on your paper, be prepared to receive a heavily AI authored paper from that person. It is not going to be worth the money you paid out and it will be hard to get a refund from them for something you could have used AI yourself to complete.
