And a couple of weeks later, another post from this incredibly stupid site in my mail box.

1.) People who seem to live on [off?] this site are beyond strange.
2.) Yes, I've looked at writing sites and ... wrote it off. It is clear that writers from third world countries write thousands of articles per day to make money ... for others - guess where.

3.) So, if you can write, don't write for ANY of these sites. If you can't write, stop trying.

Good luck.

PS. WritersBeward and cronies: get a ******* life.

I don't know, how many? When do I make a whole bunch of claims I can't prove?

If you'd like evidence for something I've said, all you have to do is ask. Like I ask you. Repeatedly.

IF YOU RESPECT YOURSELF AS A WRITER KEEP FROM OFF THIS COMPANY

As you can see, you are still nowhere near self-respect, so shut up!

THEIR SWEETING TALKING

Actually, there is nothing sweet about "the talk."

You said you'll leave this forum soon. We're still waiting for that to happen.

Lead by example

WHY CANT ALL FREELANCE WRITERS BOYCOTT WRITING FOR THOSE COMPANIES WITH A RECORD OF
STEALING!

Unfortunately it is a dream far fetched. Basically, freelance writers work in "incognito." Mass action would be possible only if all writers knew each other and had an effective channel of communication through which they can exchange messages, including strike notices. But still, diverging views may arise, some may fail to comply with the strike decision, especially those satisfied with the companies they work for. It's your own cross, sorry!

LET THEM KNOW WRITERS ARE NO SLAVES...

That is true. However, there are some writers who live in third world countries, who do not know any better. Working for slave labor is the only way they can support themselves and their families most of the time. So they wait it out and take the abuse, all because the company "took a chance" on hiring them. This made the company a god in their eyes, not to be disrespected and instead, bowed down to whenever the need arises. They are poor souls in that way, never knowing and understanding that they should and could be treated better by their employer.

The company must be doing something right in terms of treating their writers. For all the complaints in this thread, the company has managed to keep a large roster of active writers. Most of whom have not registered any complaints from what I have found. Either they have improved their treatment of the writers or the company has tuned into a one writer show. Please note that they no longer focus on academic writing though. That is probably what made the difference. They are more involved in commercial wiling contracts these days. That could be another reason for their improved writer treatment. There are lesser reasons to crack the whip on non-academic writers.
