Writerbay Refuses to Fix Payment Issues

I was writing for writerbay for about a month. I completed about $900 worth of work for the company. I noticed I did not receive payment and checked into it. Found that I had entered in the email address incorrectly. This was my mistake.

I filled out a form to notify management about this. In response, I was told that payment was successfully credited to the paypal account initially registered and it would not be possible for them to fix this.

I could accept I made an error and it was my responsibility to fix it, however, I wanted to check into some things. I sent a dummy email to the erroneous email I gave when signing up the paypal. It bounced back as rejected. I tried sending payment of 3 cents to the erroneous paypal. Wouldn't accept.

If you work for writerbay, watch your ass.

I don't know anything about Writerbay, but there's a pretty simple solution to your problem: just register a new email for the misspelled one and then add it to your PayPal account. From the company's perspective, they really don't know that you're not trying to collect twice by tricking them into issuing payment to both emails and then waiting to collect Payment #1 until they also issue #2.

Man that's rough. Have you tried calling them or something? Maybe you could try and register that email as a Paypal address and get more aggressive about asking for payment. I've noticed the company doesn't pay exceptionally well, but they've at least made themselves available when necessary.

That isn't how paypal works. I did exactly what you suggested yesterday, and the payments they SAID were confirmed were obviously not there.

I called them to ask about it. I asked to speak with a manager and they couldn't put me through.

A reputable essay company would make every effort to sort this out.

The problem, is that even if you are capable of proving that the payments bounced, the company will not care. In fact, they knew from the very start that the email you gave was non-working, Their payment bounced the minute they "tried" to pay you. They realized they were in luck and they saved $900 based on writer error. You will never get that money owed to you. You may as well just quit writing for them and consider what happened a nightmare. Let it be your cautionary tale when signing up for any service that will require the them to send money to you.

It is strange that the company is actively trying to recruit new writers via their referral program. Most companies have stopped hiring or put a pause in it. They claim there are simply not enough orders to go around these days. The students seem to truly prefer AI, without knowing that it will cause problems for them in the future if they keep using AI to write their paper. They take it for granted that AI will write a good paper and not even bother to check what the AI wrote. Writer Bay seems to be hedging its business on how AI will fade into the past and not take over the writer's jobs. They need to believe that it will happen otherwise, they will shutter their doors.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.
