Unemployed Essay Writers[Moved from]: Many thanks for the advice about freelance writing jobs!

Hi everyone,

I have lurked on the board for a while, but I must make my introduction by expressing my gratitude for the wealth of information I found here.

My husband's job requires that we relocate very often and that leaves me a well educated professional, trying to find ways use my brain cells and also earn as we move. Not all countries are amenable to foreign workers, and as a lecturer, it is a challenge to find work in my present location and it was difficult to navigate the pitfalls of online employment.

Nevertheless, with the advice I have found on this board, I have been able to attract pretty good earnings using my writing skills, and ensuring the companies I approached were reputable and had enough freelance jobs to choose from.

I have been doing great business and while I am sure you realize that the information you post is useful, you may not know that it helps far more persons than those who take the time to register and make a post.

So, to WB, Lavinia, Mak, and all others who assist in providing useful information to this board, as well as comedy par excellence (which is also useful) - I thank you.

Custom Essays (I prefer to work independently.)

Hi,
I have been writing custom essays for the past 6 years.
I have not registered for any custom writing agencies because I do not trust them. Most of them, I believe, are scams. I prefer to work independently. I communicate with my clients through my email, @gmail.

My query is, is there really a legitimate freelance writing agency that does not scam its writers?
Please let me know.

Thank you.

My question is, why would you advertise on a site devoted to exposing scams?

"I write essays. Here's my email address. I'm not advertising. I also use the underscore button as some sort of weird punctuation. Derp!"

My "beef" is you very obviously trying to advertise yourself as writer on a forum that specifically prohibits advertising. Why don't you take your bulls-i* posturing elsewhere if you don't like my tone?

academia reseach cheated me,

They continue to cheat their writers. In fact, they recently did a purge of their writing staff. The unceremoniously cancelled the accounts of some of their first class and premium writers who were questioning company policies. They were seen as influencing the junior writers negatively, which led to their dismissal. They never did see the income that they were owed. This happened just during the previous lockdown. So I have to warn the writers here, do not sign up with Academia-Research. They are looking for fresh blood to abuse. Do not be part of the new set of writer victims.

Freelance typing jobs can easily be found anywhere online these days. Google used to be the only source of such jobs. These days though, Facebook is overflowing with these sorts of typing job ads. The problem is, not all of these jobs are on the level, regardless of where you found the ad or clicked on the link. There are those that are scams, there are those that just harvest information, and there are some that truly want to hire people. How can you tell if it is a fake posting? If they insist that you download Telegram, then you better not proceed with the application.

As I mentioned in another thread, writers who have been doing this long (and well) enough to have cultivated a large clientele still have a lot of work from the goodwill they've established over many years, notwithstanding the AI threat. However, this would be the wrong time to think about starting out in this line of work for the first time.
