Hello,

My name is Simon Griffiths, at the end of my tenure I was the Manager of User Experience at All Answers Ltd. Owners of Essaybay, UkEssays etc etc.

If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them while I may also have to decline for legal reasons.. Barclay loves the law so will enjoy giving me a spanking if I step over the line.

However I will try to answer any questions openly and honestly :)

How many students ever actually received refunds after they found out their papers had been completely plagiarized?

Why are you here? Someone says they'll answer questions, I ask a question, and you find it necessary to pop up and throw a poorly worded first grade insult at me? Do you realize how sad that makes you look?

I dont know would be a reasnable answer. I do know orders were refunded as we were tasked with creating statistics that measured them.

Since I've been out for two months I doubt I could provide any number refunds regarding orders so any figure I may give would be useless on this matter.

Remember guys I was a an engineer and manager of enginneers.

Perhaps, you missed the irony in the question posted above. We'd like to know if your company ever bothered to make any refunds to the students who were cheated with plagiarized content. I hope you got it now.

Besides, I find it appropriate to extend the question above: Do you have any idea how many students were cheated/scammed by your company? If you don't, I'd rather you did a simple search on this forum using your company's domain names.

Now, I'm here as one of the lucky ones that got out quite nicely without being 'sacked'. I mean made redundant.

AA purports it's a family but is frankly not one. It tempts employees with the prospect of large bonuses if you drop all morals.

Frankly AA is a ****** place to work where people are 'made redundant' for doing 80+ hours a week and if your face doesn't fit, e.g. you *shock horror* disagree with the SMT (Barclay, Tony, Jennifer, Chris) because you're a subject matter expert then your screwed. I had the lovely opportunity to get the **** out as did my manager before me.

AA recently, ~ may 2011 dropped a load of talented people for reasons unknown under the guise of redundancies, now the court is out on this, literally,

Me, I have major issues with the so called Senior Management Team at AA so am happy to answer any questions I can.

Hope this explains where I am at.

1) This is not my company: I'm well out of it pal

But 2) yes some researcher were proper dodgy so we spanked them as much as possible as refunded what we could at the time.

Real figures on this should be directed at AA but I'd have no problem being a witnesss in court saying the above :)

Hey, I got a question.

Why did AA close Essaybay down?

Why were so many people being made redundant ? I thought AA was a booming business ?

Academic QuestionsWell thats the big question really. So did we all.

One morning the CEO walked in said there were going to be rundancies and there were.

I noticed in some job ads recently they say they are a booming business.

With EssayBay the code base had a shedload of problems in it so it was shut on that basis.

I always thought it was going to be re-written but it moved to a different part of the business and nothing ever happened by the looks of it.

I saw all sorts while working at AA. I would also say that in my experience no one, customers or writers (staffers are a different thing) were ever deliberately screwed over. I saw a lot of people working very hard to make sure customers and writers were looked after to the best we could.

Sometimes however things just dont work out either through mishap, cockup or sometimes just shear incompetence but I'd like to think most of the issues were worked out.

There were also some very funny moments at AA, some cultish odd moments eg. Barclays 'Life Design' sessions which was where a group of people would sit in a room and discuss all sorts of loved up junk, ironically these sessions were not mandatory but you did have to consider your position at the company if you did not attend, hehe!

I have been an accomplished writer/editor for several years, and I must say that I never saw such a desperate attempt at acting like a child. Good luck though.

I don't think thats my job. I don't know if they are planning on replacing my role as they have gone through two managers in post and an assistant manager who left a month after me so they may have decided to recruit for another programmer or maybe they have filled the role internally, who knows.

Ahh the infamous back biting and naming calling has begun, this forum appears to really enjoy this stuff and I think this is the point where I will bow out. My aims here were to see if anyone has any questions and if I could answer them honestly I would.

Good luck,

Have fun everyone!

Simon,
I'm keen to speak to you. I'm looking into this industry for a documentary I am making on the topic for my MA in Broadcast Journalism.

Can we email?
Best,
Josh.

I may also have to decline for legal reasons.

Well, if you are not willing to risk legal proceedings, I do not see how you would be able to satisfy the inquiry of the students here. Their questions always border on the legality of the TOS and payment rules. Questions that you will most likely decline to respond to. Based on the information you have provided, it seems like you are still trying to cover your hiny in case they sue you. I do not understand what your intention was in coming here if you could not offer any real help. You don't seem like you are trying to create a client base for yourself so you can continue a writing career.

dropped a load of talented people for reasons unknown under the guise of redundancies

Redundancies are the go-to reason for these criminal companies to sack their prolific, popular, and high cpp writers. They would rather keep the trash writers on staff since they have a better chance of not paying these writers and keeping the rest of the unrefunded money for themselves. They want the lousy writers to serve their profit plans. That is why the good uniters get the unceremonious boot most of the time. It isn't about quality work, it is about paying low and penalizing whever possible.
