I was at my school library earlier today researching my topic for my Capstone Project (which I need to complete to earn my degree). Then it dawned on me that I simply do not have the patience or energy as a mom, wife, and student, etc to try to write an exceptional paper and it's been so long since I last wrote a research paper, I dont even know where to start anymore.
I came upon a site that advertised excellent research papers (IvyResearchPapers) that I later read was a fraudulent website. Then I found that most of the sites I encountered were listed as fraudulent. I also found that most sites were hesitant to list the names of sites they believed to be reputable. The only positive and real reviews I found about CustomPapers or GraduateWriter. Is that the case here?
I've been reading through this site for a few hours now & still haven't found any "suggestions". Although I have found that I agree with most of the postings by WritersBeware and Lavinia, who seem to be intelligent, yet funny, & I agree that EFL writers would be more ideal and just makes more sense. EW_Writer seems very intelligent and funny himself, but I wouldn't want to risk using an ESL writer.
Can anyone recommend a service or am I asking too much?
WritersBeware
Thank you for the compliments, but recommendations are not allowed for numerous reasons.
I understand. There seem to be many posters who shy away from recommendations for one reason or another. You dont want to blatantly advertise a company as though you have an investment in its success and you also dont want to back a company that the next customer may have a bad experience with, I guess? And I guess on the one hand you cant expect a company to be honest with you as a customer and on the other hand, ask them to aid in your dishonesty.
This whole business is frustrating and I dont even know how to go about deciphering who are frauds and who are legit.
Ok, so the more I navigate this site, the more I see that the same question has been asked an infinite amount of times. I've read enough posts to know that even if my question is answered directly (most dont seem to be), those replies are likely advertisements.
I apologize to those of you who are reading this question for the umpteenth time. I'll continue to do my own checks on these companies and pray that I dont get taken. I kind of need my money:-)

hello 2much2do,
thank you for the kind words and for understanding why some of us don't offer recommendations. i would suggest starting with a small 1-2 page order when testing out a company - at least that way you can limit your losses.
best of luck.
Are there any sites where writers advertise independent of companies or is that not a good idea to pursue?
Thanks a bundle. :) May I just say that customers who have their papers written by competent ESL writers won't even realize that their paper wasn't written by a competent EFL writer.
hey , i'm really confused too! i dont know where to start with my project and thought i would get help but after reading all this i am hesitant and thinking is it really worth it! i'm not too sure what to do. to reference with 2much2do- i feel you as thats how i feel. have u come up with a conclusion as to what you are going to do?
I need your advice of which writing service company should I use if I need to do SPSS and maybe more?
Is there any writer here who can assist me on one to one instead of going through these writing companies?
[Moved from]: Dissertation or Research Paper - Recommend A Service?
Hi guys,
Not sure if I'm posting in the right place, and not even sure how much it would cost, but I'm currentlty undertaking a instrumentation and control engineering degree, but for my dissertation I've been given the task of creating a program that will communicate wirelessly between computers (fairly straight forward for people who know what they're doing). But just wondering if anyone can recomend any places to have it created/annotated and possibly with a paper with it. Typical dissertation stuff I assume.
Any help wouod be greatly appreciated as I'm starting to struggle with the workload.
Thanks.

UK based companies only
There are many companies that can offer help with your dissertation but not all are legit. You can search for a few then look at reviews by other students. All the best!

Which one's the best (a raw list of "good" and "bad" essay help sites)?
Hi I've been reading through some threads and it seems that when the OP posts that he/she likes the service from a particular site, there are mixed reviews that follow. So is there a page with just a raw list of "good" and "bad" sites? Or can someone suggest me a good and reputable site? I'm new to the scene so I'm really trying to find the best site that can write me the best essay. I appreciate your help. Thanks.
i suppose offline and off-forum one could give any suggestions..so if someone really wanted a recommendation for a good writing companies (I as a writer only write through the company which sends me jobs) they would have to write me an email or look me up on a social nework. That's the professional way to do it. Ever thought of trying out a work or job network? Regards, Raffaella Cantillo

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a reputable writing service. I used essayontime and it was terrible service and honestly, my 8 year old could have done a better job. Anyways, can somebody pm with a good writting service. I know you cannot recommend on here, but can you PM me or at least show me the way.
Hello everyone, I'm looking for a reputable writing service.
Anybody, I need a writer for a short project and if you do good by me, I have plenty of work.
Do you trust writers here?
I haven't had any work done yet!. Hopefully soon!.
Then, read threads here and you will understand why it is not a good idea either.
all you've been doing is bringing out the bad sites/companies which is a very admirable thing to do(thanks a lot for that). WHAT ABOUT THE GOOD ONES? WE'LL APPRECIATE IT IF YOU CAN GUIDE US AWAY FROM THE FRAUDSTERS.
WHAT ABOUT THE GOOD ONES?
Great starting point: essaydirectory.com

2much2do: I likewise poured through the forum & found a somewhat reputable writing service often mentioned herein. I hired them for 1 paper, which - while seemingly original (I scanned it through TurnItIn) - was not only was off topic, but also factually erroneous & falsified citations. I did contact the Customer Service department & received no word back from them.
I then found an excellent writer on this forum. His work was superior, and more impressive was his "business practice" of keeping in touch & meeting the deadline. I sense, however, he is very busy since I've tried to contact him now about another paper (due in 7 days) & haven't heard back. That said, I'm back to square one looking for a legit & dependable writer.

Hi there
That site has not been rated, so it it risky, secondly it seems it is not functioning well, i tried to sign up it is not opening, sop beware !
You can have writing services if you want some good quality work because they have experts with them. They can produce quality content for you as compared with any other random person. There is a company that deals with variety of writing services like blogs, article, essays and dissertation. I have my experience of working with them and it was great.
Great Services?
I tried to find a good writing service over the past week and I am quite overwhelmed. I contacted a few sites that I found, but was discouraged by online reviews (seems like all sites are lampooning each other) and by the fact that everyone I was in contact with were people of clearly Indian roots who called themselves "Scott Blake" or "Amanda Winters". What is a GOOD site for finding good writers? I assume they will be a little more pricey, but at least I will get what I want?! How do I find exactly what I need? Any recommendations? Factors to look at?
We're not allowed to provide any specific recommendations (or solicit your business) here, but you should start by using the search function right here. It defaults to the titles of threads, but if you change that to search thread content instead, you should be able to find some credible posts about just about any company and any freelance writer who has been in business for any length of time.
I guess college and university students know how to use search function these days..
One would think so, but the frequency with which they come here to start threads with questions about companies that have been discussed many times over the years in posts that are so easily searchable suggests to me that they don't bother using the search function here at all before asking those questions. Also, because searches here always default to thread titles instead of to the content of posts, many people may just not realize why their searches about companies or writers generate so few returns (or none at all). In many cases, if they would just change that setting to return "messages" instead of "titles," those same searches would yield many more useful returns. In my opinion, the moderators should make that change so users get the most out of their searches and just let people change to "titles" if thread titles are really all they want to search.
What's interesting is how students manage to find writing services nobody heard of before (if they can do that, they can search here too I guess..). Check out the "recommended services" tab on the main page.
is their a good physics website that offers clac base physics
i was looking for a company that can do some of the homework that i am struggling in my physics homework, anybody recommend a company ?
What company would you guys recommend from personal experience?
Hello All,
as my name would suggest I am in need of help finding a essay writing service that I can trust to write me a good standard (at least 2:1) dissertation paper. I have spent days looking around google, this forum, glass doors etc... to try and find some inclining of what services are good and what services are bad and no matter how hard I look I can never find reliable sources that point in the same direction (e.g. I will find great reviews for UKessays on glassdoor but then I can go onto a forum and there are multiple posts saying that the services was not good and only got them a 2:2 at best). I know that this thread may end up the same but It is always worth a go.
I have used edubirdie before for a few smaller papers (1 - 2 pages) and then for a larger paper with 15 references ($130ish for ESL standard). All of these have received good grades from my lecturers and have held up through plagiarism checks but the punctuation and spelling have not been great (I have even picked up on some of them and my punctuation skills are sub-par). I wanted to use this company again but I don't know if I had a one off experience as when I look around at other reviews of the website they are not very positive and involve a lot of people failing units.
I have also heard a lot of good things about UKessays, CustomPapers, and GraduateWriter. They seem to be the market leader when it comes to this but then again you can find reviews out there that they only supply you with the basic paper with no references, bibliography, conclusion or introduction.
I have also looked into another company called uk writings.
Overall I want this thread to have some personal experiences (including results) and recommendations for people looking to get large essays and dissertations completed.
From what I can tell, services that a domain name ends with *.writings.com aren't typically located in the UK/US. You mention two other services, but fail to discuss their prices - one of them is 2-5 times more expensive than the other (isn't the price an important factor in choosing a writing service?).
Regarding reviews, 90% of them are 100% fake/fabricated. Reading reviews of academic paper services is a complete waste of time because almost all of the positive ones have been written by fake 'users' (ie. company writers / owners). I hear that Google/Bing are finally going to do something about it and either discredit or penalize services that have an unnatural pattern of positive reviews (there's one 'custom writing' website that would post dozens of fake reviews below their BBB profile; it's going down too).
As I understood, i can trust only that sites that have wikipedia pages. Like there can be the company history. Also, it means that some guys already checked them, including teachers. they should've been judged plenty of times!

If you're looking for companies, I'd agree that you should be wary of any recommendations you get here. I'd start by browsing through company sites. See if the content appears to have been written by a native English speaker--it's surprising how often it doesn't, and if they're not going to catch grammatical errors on their website, it's hard to imagine that they'll reliably do so with your paper. If you're not a native English speaker, have a friend scan through for you. Usage errors like that are usually fairly easy to spot.
There are a few other indicators of reputability that you can research as well. It's easier for offshore companies to register in some states than others, for instance. BBB registration can also be a clue.
Trying your luck with a freelance writer is an option as well. If you know anyone who's ordered essays before, ask them for a referral. If that's not an option, a lot of the folks on this site are engaged in the business in some capacity or another. Some accounts are legit; others are scam accounts used primarily to promote one's own company or defame the competition.
There are other threads that deal with how to go about sorting the good for the bad, although there aren't any foolproof methods. The simplest way is just to read through the forums and see who seems to be participating in a fair and straightforward way; make sure to take advantage of the search function to check out posting history (you may have to fiddle with the settings so you can search entire posts rather than just thread titles). Same rule applies as for evaluating company websites: keep your eyes peeled for for shoddy English.
Anyway, you have my sympathy; I know can be a confusing and nerve-wracking world to engage with at first. Just remember that you only have to find one honest, reliable source--whether a freelancer or a company--and you're set; you won't have to go through this process again. There are plenty of those professionals out there (and some here on these forums as well). This business couldn't function otherwise.
At the end of the day, scams and scammers need something legitimate to feed off, and that legitimate thing is a fair-and-square, fee-for-service exchange between educated professionals who are in the business because it's engaging and surprisingly fun (at least for the nerdier among us), and students who need a hand in an increasingly competitive and financially-risky academic environment.
Good luck!
It's challenging--often a matter of trial and error. I saw your post on another thread about reading through pages of bickering, but given the anonymous nature of the game, that's often what it comes down to.
In general, I would suggest screening companies as if you were a customer, looking for broken English, etc. As you've probably figured out for yourself, be wary of any direct recommendations folks give here, as it can be hard or impossible to know who's posting and why. Instead of looking for reviews of specific companies, I might scan the forums for strategies you can use to identify them.
At that point, it might come down to taking your best guess, applying, and starting off by taking a few smaller, low-paying orders. If payment comes through as scheduled, that's a start--you can build up from there. Pay attention to the quality of English used in the interface and in your interactions with support, which can clue you in if the company is based internationally.
I can't speak for anyone else--and this is emphatically not a testimonial for any company, period--but in my personal experience, even fairly slimy companies will typically pay writers as agreed if your performance is up to a certain level. My (totally speculative) guess is that the business model just isn't particularly viable if you can't generate any return customers at all--and if you scam too many people, it gets harder and harder to advertise. That said, in all the bickering you mentioned on the other thread, there are plenty of horror stories, so who knows?
It can be a weird world to gain access to, whether you're a writer or a client. In either case, though, once you've started to make your way in, it should get easier and easier to navigate. But until you have some trusted contact, that initial process of trial-and-error can definitely be a stressful and unpleasant one.
Sure, there are legitimate essay writing companies out there. The problem is that if a student is pressed for time, it is difficult for the student to actually come across a legitimate company. The student will most likely grab the first (recommended) academic writing site he comes across because he just needs to get the job done. There is no time for vetting, no time for comparison shopping, no time for serious considerations. These are the mistakes that lead the student to go with the scam independent writer or scam company. These considerations make it even more difficult for anyone to recommend a writing service because it is truly difficult to investigate the legitimacy of these writing companies these days. Most of the time, a student hires a service on a Hail Mary. With any luck, the student gets a legitimate writer and / or company and comes out of the pressure situation unscathed. Others though are not so lucky. They end up with a paper from hell. Here's a tip, don't ask for recommendations. If you are short on time, then try your best to do the paper yourself. That way, you avoid crying over spilled milk when things go wrong for your paper.
@deezLynch I would not trust the companies that have Wikipedia pages too much either. Always take the information placed on that site at face value. I am sure that you know about how anybody can just edit a Wikipedia page right? There is a lack of information verification in that system. The information about the writing company there could be anywhere from accurate to misleading, While not all of the sites could be misleading, it is always best to be cautious as these companies can say anything in their advertisement, which is what the Wikipedia page is, just to bring in clients. If their history or claims seem too good to be true on the Wikipedia page, then it most likely isn't true. Again, I am not saying all the companies do this, just some. So I caution you about dealing with them just because of a Wikipedia reference.
It may do you better if you try to find a writer at one of the freelancing job sites. Those sites have safeguards in place should the writer you hired give you problems. That is not to say that the writers here are fraudulent. I am sure they are not. It is all about you being cautious in the way you deal with people. You should be able to tell before you hire a company or person if they are on the level. Use their chat or email services before you place your order and ask questions. If you are comfortable after speaking with their representative or the writer personally, and you feel that the person properly addressed your concerns, then the experience should be a fruitful one.
Provided the student has ample time to work on his paper he will have the time to find a legitimate writing company to work on his paper. There is a misconception that a majority of the writers and companies out there are illegitimate. That is not always the case. Companies that have long standing reputations can easily be found the web using the proper search tools and contacts. The reason that students end up with companies of ill repute usually stems from their lack of time to properly consider all the possible options for their writing company or preferred writer. Wanting to just get the job done because of the pending deadline is normally what causes the student to sign up with a company that can't deliver as promised. Time pressure is always a student's enemy and it is always what usually influences them to make the wrong choice. If they can't look into the company background fully before placing an order then they should expect problems to come about with their order.
Again, I am not saying all the companies do this, just some.
The most notorious / foreign do it indeed (they create fake Wikipedia profiles with fake credentials). The same story goes with all those HuffPost 'blogs' (fake stories and links are bought by shady SEOs / essay writing company operators there).
I agree. The Huff Post Blogs are some of the most unreliable sources of information out there. Unfortunately, they market themselves in such a manner that makes them seem impressive and authoritative so the people get conned into thinking that they are reputable. I always make sure to double check any information that comes from their blogs. Most of the time, the information I learn about disputes their claims. Which is why I rank Huff Post Blogs as only my second most unreliable source of information. Wikipedia being the first most unreliable. I would not recommend Huff Post Blogs to anyone.
As for the foreign companies that create fake Wikipedia pages, I almost fell victim to a few of them online. They would claim to be in the United States with American writers. Yet, when I check the IP address it pings back to India, Pakistan, or the Philippines. It is important to never believe everything one reads on Wikipedia. Additional research is required to confirm any information from there. Not just for writer services, but for the actual physical location of the company as well.
Personally, I tell people that Wikipedia gives you a good starting point but it should not be considered an endorsement of any academic outsourcing company. Usually, these companies that advertise on Wikipedia find that their veil of fake claims are lifted once the potential client uses the chat or messaging system of the company. Their grammar is simply not native speaker level. Even while writing you can tell that they are trying to come up with proper grammar when conversing. Which is why they respond in single sentence lines and more often than not, ask you to repeat the question or "hold on please", while they use a translator for your text message.
There is really no telling when a site is trustworthy or not. There are some
red flags that one can look out for but it could come too late for those who are unknowingly caught in the web of deceit. It would be best to simply practice caution and common sense when hiring these services. If something doesn't feel right for you as the client, do not proceed with the transaction. It is better to not have any regrets later on.
@Smiley73 I believe that recommendations are now allowed. Although, it seems to be only recommendations made by the website owners. I just saw that they have a checkmark next to the academic writers and research services section. There is the text "Reviewed" written before the green checkmark. So I can only assume that these are the specific recommendations that EF approved of. After seeing the seemingly endless requests from students for people here to recommend services, I guess it became imperative for the owners of EF to do that. After all, not allowing recommendations in some form would hurt their purpose.
The purpose of the forum is to make sure the student's don't get scammed right? Therefore, it is the duty, no, the responsibility of the owners of this forum to help the students find the most reliable service for their needs. They certainly did it the right way. Nothing beats an approval like that. If you ask me, it makes for a strong recommendation.
I have my experience of working with them and it was great.
Uhm. Are you for real? If your post is any indication of the type of work you produce for them, a potential client should pass on your services and the company that hired you. Just saying! Perhaps, conduct a Google search for "free online writing courses."
After all, not allowing recommendations in some form would hurt their purpose.
I am in complete agreement. It has been my understanding that part of the purpose of this forum is to inform writers and customers on the pros and cons of writing services and providers as well as problem customers. It should be an open two-way street. Of course, there has to be moderation in recommendations or the forum would be rampant with spam and scams! I do see companies being mentioned from time to time, so it must be allowed within reason.
