Expect to make about 30-50% less than promised, which gets old pretty quickly, unless you live in the developing world. When you ask exactly what needs edited, don't expect a clear answer. Also, don't expect Critical Essays (or whatever its incarnation is next year) to give you any direct line of communication with your clients, so that you can verify complaints. This latter move is actually used by some companies to reduce the potential drag of nightmare customers (quite common in this industry) on busy writers. If used honestly by a company you can trust, this can save time. In Karen's case, you can trust her about as far as you can throw her.

Because if you had, you would know that I do not underpay the writers. If I did, there would be a lot of angry writers posting on here wouldn't there? Regarding "editors". Yes we do have "editors" on our books as some people do not wish to carry out assignments from scratch, they only want to work on proofreading and editing projects. Regarding our QC's, your argument that if the writers are all legitimate then this is not needed, is absurd. Even the very best writers make mistakes from time to time, and for peace of mind for both myself and the client I like to have all work thoroughly double-checked to ensure that our work meets or exceeds the standard ordered. If proofreading / checking was not needed in writing then why would top authors and academics need such services?

So I'm certainly not going to apologise for our robust system that has ensured our clients' satisfaction over the past few years. You know, since implementing the QC process we have only had to do 1 refund in all that time, i.e. in 18 months? And that was only due to the fact that this client was studying a very specialised topic that we were unable to obtain a suitably qualified writer for.

So by all means continue enjoying yourselves trolling trying to find holes in my business, but you might want to get your facts straight first. In the meantime, thanks for the continued publicity.

Believe it or not, there are some writing companies that ask their new writers to write unpaid testimonials for the company. It is not something that they are forced to write, it is something that is requested. It is up to the writer to leave a positive testimony if he wants to. I did that once. When I was still new in the business and the company I was working for asked if I would talk about my 3 month working experience at the company for their blog. I did so and in return, I got better treatment from the people that ran the company, even throwing in more requested writer work for me after I wrote the testimony. I guess that was their way of "paying" for my publicity paper.

While you guys were busy in-fighting, the company being mentioned by the OP actually disappeared from existence. I could not find a trace of the company online in any search engine, social media channel, or YouTube channel. So there is no reason for this thread to even be existing. I mean, did the admin not notice how the discussion in this thread got out of hand? Yet they allowed it to continue. The discussions even went off topic already and yet nobody took any action. personal insults were hurled and fights ensued but no referee came to stop the chaos. Let's try to get this forum back to the respected state it once had. I really think that the slurs contained in the posts is the main reason that students eventually decided to just stalk the forum rather than participate in it.
