Hey everyone,

Has anyone heard of/used these guys? Here's the link. Based in Seattle (Washington), positions themselves very well, yet after taking the cash for an essay, completely silent and uncommunicative. I have a really bad feeling...Does anyone know if its a rip off or....?

They also claim to do tutoring at their downtown office in Seattle, but is that part of the scam to sound 'legit'? Tried googling the hell out of them, including Better Business Bureau but....nothing.

Thanks in advance!!

best grade now

BestGradeNow.com is run by a longtime lone serial scammer named Robert Joseph Abalos, who lives in hiding in Seattle. He has at least a two decade history of scamming on eBay, Amazon and otherwise online selling non-existent land investing seminars. He often uses the royal "we" to falsely imply he has an organization of people under him. He was a corrupt attorney who has been disbarred in all three states where he was licensed. I suggest you review the articles and archived posts on this blog going back through the mid-2000s, dedicated to warning the public at large and especially his intended victims:

robertabalosrevealed.blogspot.com/

He has made the practice into an art form of keeping the dollar amounts of his frauds under the threshhold of what law enforcement at local, state and federal levels to date are interested in. He is an authentic sociopath. He even scams his landlords out of all rent. When they get a court judgment against him, he simply can't be found, nor can any assets. When somebody protests loudly, he abuses the local Seattle courts and files fake charges of defamation and harassment against the protestor, regardless of what state they live in, resulting in high costs to defend against bogus lawsuits that an honest court should not permit. Fortunately he is very much a coward, but he is definitely evil.

Once the blog above warned enough of the real estate investor community of his treachery, he largely switched to various writing services scams, and continues advertising his scams in various online classified ad sites. He will always insist on payment types (like cash, postal money orders, etc) that permit no chargebacks. Have I made my point?

It's a nice website, though. I wonder how much it would cost to get something like that done?

Do not use bestgradenow.com! Yes like scammerhunter mentioned, he goes by the name of Robert. I thought he would be able to help edit my paper and didn't realize he was a scumbag. Stupid enough I wasn't thinking and paid him prior to getting any help on my paper. I should have known by the way he looks, dirty looking and unprofessional, he wears glasses and is overweight. He has an address that we met up at: 901 8th Avenue, Seattle WA 98104.

Good news -- as of this morning, Dec 6th, 2012, the BestGradeNow.com website is down. Hopefully it will stay down, but that remains to be seen.

Superapple11, did the scammer Abalos give you any particular reason for meeting at the 901 8th Avenue address (instead of the Columbia Tower a few blocks away where he claims to have an office)? And if so, what was it?

The company seems to be shut down at the moment. I hope it was shut down permanently and not just moved to a different URL and company name. That is what these companies do you know. They just keep changing their skin like the snakes that they are. They never stay put under a single name because of the speed by which they garner a negative image among the student clients. They need to keep moving so as not to get caught as being the same company as before that scammed a student, who suddenly recognized the writing company modus.

The original url as posted here does remain offline at this point. However, I have heard rumors that the company has merged its system and writers pool with another company. That move has allowed it to retain most of its writers and also given it a fresh start as an affiliated writing company. It will be best for the students to err on the side of caution when looking for a writing company to work with. The poor student might end up with the umbrella company without knowing it. Do not bother to ask if the company you are interested in is an affiliate. None of these companies will admit it or give a straight answer when asked that question.

This is true, even when the company involved is legitimate, in general. Back when I was writing for what was then probably the biggest and best US essay company, there were projects whose instructions said things along the lines of "This is the second time I'm ordering this same project. I already ordered it from XYZ Essays and the essay that I received was terrible. I really hope you guys are better than they are!" Meanwhile, I knew that the companies those customers mentioned in their instructions were just another of many subsidiaries or "affiliate" sites of the company from which they re-ordered the same project. I only learned that many different companies were all connected by seeing the fax headers (or payment confirmations/receipts) that customers sometimes included as a cover sheet on the project sources that they uploaded to the system. Apparently, those essay companies all had their own customer-facing ordering systems; but, in reality, there was just one assignment board where all of the projects ordered on a half-dozen or more (seemingly) different essay company websites just got posted for the same pool of writers. Most of the time, we writers had no idea which company actually booked the project, unless there happened to be some evidence identifying a specific company on one of the project source files uploaded to the system.
