Bigpapers - Help please!

Hey all,

I am currently looking into getting Bigpapers to assist me with a paper, but I'm not sure if the website is legitimate or not. The only reasons that make me a little suspicious is because I a e-mailed the place about 2 weeks ago with some general questions and I still have not received a response. So if anyone could clarify this that would be great. In addition, if anyone has actually ever used that website would they be able to give me a little bit of feedback.

On the other hand, the only thing I am trying to really find is a legitimate site to get a excellent paper from. If anyone here has a different website that they think is great please tell me.

The only other question I have is it about filling out the fields for the order forms. First, my paper is supposed to be 2500 word or 10 pages double spaced and I am writing it for a elite private school for my final year. Do most places write 250 words per page or 500? And for the level of paper should I select College Freshman? Finally, for the topic is it possible for me to just put in the thesis statement I would like?

If anyone could please help me I would dearly appreciate the assistance.

Thanks a lot!

Most essay sites give you 250-275 words/pg. Some go as high as 300, but we writers don't really count words as we write: we write a standard double-spaced page without skipping any lines, which usually comes out to about 25 lines of text per page. My papers sometimes go a little longer than the pages ordered because it can take more time to tie things up in exactly the number of pages ordered than to just finish a last paragraph on the next page About once a year I get a request for an additional 50 words or whatever because the customer actually counted them but nobody ever asks about paying us extra when it goes over.

There's not much difference between HS senior level and college freshman, but when in doubt, go with the higher one.

Hope that helps.

I would suggest simply putting the word requirement in your order. A reputable company should be able to fulfill it or tell you how many pages will be needed to make your word count.

When I get an order, I always watch word count to make sure customers get what they pay for. I treat it as a minimum unless otherwise stated.

I would suggest simply putting the word requirement in your order. A reputable company should be able to fulfill it or tell you how many pages will be needed to make your word count.

Most reputable companies also include all the info about how many words/pg they provide right in their website details. Specifying that you want more than that is a waste of your time just like the orders I see sometimes where the student asks for "5 single spaced pages" even though the sites clearly say that they provide double spaced pages. If I take those orders I always ask the customer whether they want to pay for the extra pages and they almost always don't, because it's simply an attempt to get twice as much work for the money by "specifying" things that contradict the stated policies. Maybe once out of 10 times they thank me for the alert and actually pay for the additional work; the rest of the time, they were just trying to "specify" a 50% discount for themselves.

Also, you don't want to be obnoxious in your specifications: I sometimes see orders for perfectly good subjects that no writer ever takes off the board because the order specifies exactly how many sentences per paragraph and exactly how many paragraphs per page, and exactly how many citations per paragraph, and exactly how many quotes, etc. We do this for a living; you're placing an order because you aren't that good at writing; so, just let us write it.

If you're such an expert at outlining papers, why would you need to pay anybody else to provide a model paper? Do you tell your car mechanic how many turns you want on each screw or do you just ask him to fix your leak? You can add all the detailed specs you want to, but if you go crazy with that, don't be too surprised when no writer wants to bother with your paper and you just get a refund and no paper, especially during the busy season.

Perfect example of what NOT to do if you want your order to be taken ASAP by an experienced writer who gets plenty of work and doesn't need to spend twice as much time writing a paper because of your specs, not to mention dealing with the inevitable headache of a rewrite request because it was impossible to fulfill every one of your specs within the number of pages ordered. Chances are, if someone takes this order it's not a writer who does this fulltime, but someone who writes fewer papers just to supplement his or her income. This is a very simple 4-pg paper, in one of my top specialty areas no less, but I ain't takin' it because of all this:

"14 Paragraphs or more

PARAGRAPH 1- Seven or more sentences to get the audience's attention and strongly state my position on the issue.
PARAGRAPH 2- Acknowledge that there are arguments in opposition and in three or more sentences, name those counter-arguments.
PARAGRAPHS 3,4,5- Describe the argument named in paragraph 2, in three well-developed paragraphs.
PARAGRAPH 6- Transition paragraph, state that although the counter-arguments have some strengths, they also have weaknesses.
PARAGRAPHS 7,8,9- In these paragraphs point out the weaknesses in the counter-arguments you describe in paragraphs 3, 4, and 5.
PARAGRAPH 10- Transition paragraph describing in three or more sentences, your arguments.
PARAGRAPHS 11,12,13- In these three paragraphs describe and support each of your arguments.
PARAGRAPH 14- In at least five sentences close the paper."

I don't need any help from a college freshman organizing a simple 4-pg paper and if he/she knew how to write the paper, it wouldn't have to be ordered from an essay site. I don't think it's even possible to comply with all those specs without exceeding the pages ordered. Seven sentences in the introductory paragraph, for example, will make it virtually impossible to meet all the other specs in 4 pgs unless your sentences are constructed at a grade-school level.

FreelanceWriter, I am more than sure that these are specifications of the tutor, not student himself :)

I didn't think so only because all the pronouns are first-person. Usually if there are specs from the instructor, they just paste them without changing the voice. In that case, the only problem is that those specs require more than the # of pages ordered.

Because of that, I can't just take the paper...I gotta first bother the company to contact the cutomer and ask about authorizing deviating from the specs or adding a few pages to the order.

I agree with FW on that order - when I see so many instructions, my eyes glaze over and I look elsewhere.

Customers should think about the amount of trouble that such instructions will cause - a writer won't get paid more for following them versus another paper of the same number of pages that doesn't have such ridiculous instructions. Those of us who are busy will pick the one without instructions every time.

2 weeks without a response and you still want to place an order with them??? This stupid statement takes the cake. I just can't believe someowe can be this dumb ! The O.P. should consider himself lucky that they never responded. Someone out there must like him since he was saved from his own insanity ( stupidity?). This just proves that some people are beyond help.

Most writing companies require their writers to complete 275-300 words per page.depending on client specifics. For independent writers, the number of words per page can be negotiated. From experience, it is always best to choose the highest college writer classification, regardless of the students actual college level. That way the student requirements are sure to be met by the writer. Do not choose college FreshmanWord of caution though, it will cost more per page. Do not do it if on a tight hiring budget. Yes, the student may require his original thisis statement be used. Most writers appreciate that since that is half the work already done.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.

For independent writers, the number of words per page can be negotiated.

No, it can't, actually, unless you're dealing with an inexperienced new writer very desperate for work. "Negotiating" words per page is just another way of trying to negotiate price, which experienced writers don't do. If it's not disclosed on a website, just ask the writer how many words per page he or she provides and then order as many pages as you need. You can certainly specify single-spacing or tiny font; but not as a way of manipulating your cost. If a writer provides 300 words per page, you're going to pay for your word count divided by 300 x the number of pages you want to order, regardless of what spacing or font size you request.

From experience, it is always best to choose the highest college writer classification, regardless of the students actual college level. That way the student requirements are sure to be met by the writer.

Actually, in most cases, when you select a higher level of writing, that doesn't affect which writer takes the project, at all. More often than not, the orders all just get posted where they're available to all writers at the company. More often than not, it's just another way that many companies get customers to pay more for the exact same project. At most, just specify what level of school it is, but don't pay extra for specific writers at essay companies.

Yes, the student may require his original thisis statement be used. Most writers appreciate that since that is half the work already done.

Students may request that writers use their thesis statements; but that's usually no help to the writer, whatsoever. Students should just provide writers with their assignments exactly as they receive them and they should leave any and all options (such as choice of essay topic from a list) to whomever will actually be writing the project. Experienced writers don't need any help from students coming up with appropriate thesis statements. Customers can certainly ask to approve a thesis statement (or have it approved by professors) first, before giving the writer the go-ahead to write the project; but more likely than not, a thesis from the student will make it harder to write a good paper. Half the time that clients have given me something that they thought was a thesis, it was totally inappropriate for the material and/or impossible to research for various reasons. Most commonly, what students provide doesn't even qualify as a thesis. If you provide a thesis, an inexperienced writer could simply try to develop that thesis even though it makes no sense; whereas an experienced writer will ask you for permission to develop a better thesis. In any case, a thesis statement is nothing more than the topic of the essay narrowed down; so it hardly constitutes "half the work" of any project. I have no idea where you come up with some of the things that you offer here as advice.
