Any chance of a refund from CustomWritings.com?

Hi,

Due to illness I missed a lot of lectures this term and have especially struggled with one particular module, the subject of which I had no previous knowledge of. With a deadline looming I decided to use money that I can't really afford to to buy a paper.

Custom Writings RefundI figured that if I ordered 1500 words I could then rewrite it to 3000 incorporating my own opinions.

So.... I ordered said paper from Customwritings.com, what ensued was draining and I really wish I hadn't bothered. I rejected 4 drafts because they actually didn't make sense, then I requested a change of writer which I was given. After another 3 drafts I had something I could work with and so I approved the order so I would have a word copy to edit.

After I had elaborated on the paper and put it into my own words to avoid plagiarism I emailed it to my tutor as a draft before submission.

My tutor has emailed me back and said that he has no idea what I am talking about and he has never received such a piece of writing off me that is incorrect factually as well as not being structured properly. He said that if I submitted it he would struggle to give me 10%

I then had 24 hours to rewrite from scratch which I couldn't do and so I now have to submit late and my mark will be capped at 40%

I contacted customwritings.com and explained this to them and they said that it was tough. His words were 'you approved the order and your tutor has taken longer than 7 days to reply to your draft, this is not our problem, we write for you not your tutor'

I asked to speak to his supervisor as it does say in the terms and conditions that a refund may be available at the companies discretion but he refused to give me contact details of anyone.

Do I need to just put this down to a terrible experience and lose £65 or does anyone know how I can get that money back?

Its a hefty sum for a student..... let alone a mature student with little mouths to feed!

You got screwed by Ukrainians (who manage hundreds of websites under different names - use search to find out), but you turned in the work anyway. You don't really have a leg to stand on.

I suspected as much. It just seems a little ironic. If I had known enough about the subject to know it was rubbish then I wouldn't have needed to buy the paper in the first place!!

'you approved the order and your tutor has taken longer than 7 days to reply to your draft, this is not our problem, we write for you not your tutor'

The response of the company is correct. You approved the paper when you accepted the original, without any question and only questioned it when your tutor told you that there was a problem with the paper. Since you changed the content of the paper to meet the 3000 word count, you cannot get a refund the order. You altered the original presentation and, just like anything with a warranty, once the seal if broken, the refund is voided. This is one time that the writing company was right to respond to you in that manner.

I can only assume that this company deals with numerous complaints regarding instruction adherence from their students. Most of the time of the writer is most likely spent on the revisions which may or may not be the student's fault. Regardless of these problems, I do not see the Platinum service of this company as being beneficial to the student at all. Why would a student need an audio version of his research paper? Why is the company issuing a paper report card? That report card is not going to be related to the final grade the professor will be applying to the submitted paper. Why all these extra "services" that should be coming from free as a part of client services / interaction? Do not be fooled. The Platinum service is just a way of making you part with more of your money for what will still be the same mediocre services.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.
