I have to upload an order for a client within less than 24 hours.

When these types of problems occur, the company should have alternative upload means for the writer. There needs to be a redundant system to help with the upload. In my case, I have the company on a private messaging link to the writers via Messenger and Viber. When they cannot upload a file through the normal system. the writer assistant is always on hand via chat to receive the file upload, for passing on to the client. They also upload the paper to the server as soon as the system goes back online. It is the duty of the writer assistant to mark the order as completed in the system so the writer can be paid for the work during the next payment cycle.

It is the duty of the company to inform the writers through a message blast when there is a problem with the server. There should be a redundant system in place to still allow the clients and students to access the orders during this time. Order taking may be taken offline within the backup system, leaving the focus only on upload and download needs of the respective parties. There need not be a complicated manual system in place as Cite indicates. That is so old school, it would simply take too long for the clients to get their papers that way. The clients should also get an email or text blast regarding the server status on a regular basis during the down time. That way the student will not worry that he has been scammed by the company and, he can make adjustments to his submission deadline if necessary / possible.
