Great.. Looks like I'm ripped off again (by trustmypaper / essayagents), this time over at Essay Chat..

Everything was looking good, paid deposit, chatting etc.. Was told will be ready Sunday, but tried contacting them for nearly12 hours, and no reply.. Now have to go to hospital for surgery in less than 12 hours, with no sleep, while I try and do what I can one handed.. freaking sick of being ripped off..

For those unable to "read between the lines" of this site, there are several tabs on the main page:

ESSAY SERVICES WRITING CAREERS GENERAL TALK WRITING TUTORIAL FREE ESSAYS OFF-TOPIC RECOMMENDED SERVICES

If you click on RECOMMENDED SERVICES, two companies come up. They are both legit, as far as I can tell, because I worked for one of them in the past, and the other has customer service people who make sense, type in acceptable English, and don't seem weird in live chat. This site isn't perfect, because it does accept advertising money from scams for its banner ads, but RECOMMENDED SERVICES is comparatively squeaky-clean.

I am going to stop sending people to Essaychat if they are not spammers, because it is obviously even more of a pit over there. Sorry to have steered you wrong.

I thought the writer was legit.. Even had a professional site, and from the UK..

Now I have to either do the best I can in 12 hours, one-handed, or cancel my surgery, so I can get it done..

If not heard from in next 10 hours, I'll provide name, website, etc here, for others to avoid..

What was the email of the writer / scammer?

Well, I thought I was dealing with Steven, aka The Freelancer, from: the-freelancer.co.uk

Email was intrepidgad1234@outlook, but just looked at PayPal, and funds went to Michal Lorkiewicz, email lorek36@wp.pl..

So, thought was dealing with Steven from the UK, only to be scammed by a Michal from Poland..

So when making the payment you paid to which email address? It's possible to have up to 8 email addresses associated with one account. Did you pay to intrepidgad1234@outlook?

I checked just before, as he sent a invoice to my PayPal, and it was to Michal Lorkiewicz, email lorek36@wp.pl.. This is a completely different person and email I was contacting him through..

They knew the circumstances, and 4 days ago, said will be ready Saturday night.. I waited until Sunday night, and now been ignored for12 hours..

I'm now having to cancel a surgery, and do critical analysis in a day and a half.. Plus, out of pocket for deposit, not to mention cancellation fees of surgery..

It could well be legit, just when you get no reply, you start to worry..

It looks @wp.pl email is the primary email associated with the Paypal account and the @outlook is another email associated with the account. There may be a logical explanation, but for now it seems that Steven = Michal.

Interesting.. I've just received a refund, with no explanation, or email explaining what the issue is..

Sorry for a bad experience. Have you found someone else to handle the paper for you? Please don't miss your surgery.

Thanks Othello.. I've had to resort to using madpapers again..

Hoping it will be a better experience than before..At least I know they are legit..

I called my doctor, and he advised me not to cancel, as my arm has been getting to the point that I can't use it, so fingers crossed for everything..

No clue what this original writer is about?? At least I received a refund.. But no communication for 4 days, and especially for 14 hours, was weird.. Received it just after writing about it here.. Asked what was going on and why the refund, and still ignored.. Even if they are legit, very unprofessional..

Did you make sure to report the company to the administrators of this forum? They do not take kindly to con games being played by people that they have investigated and endorsed in this forum, even if it is in the Chat section. It is important that the writing pool endorsed by the forum remain untainted. The owners of this forum take pride in the legality of the businesses and people they endorse. They would remove any company that violates their trust in a heartbeat.

For a minute there I thought the URL referred to the website of Freelancewriter. Turns out this pointed to someone else, but with a similar sounding name. I was pleased to see that the domain returned a Server Not Found response. That means the company is out of business. Which probably happened because, and I am guessing about this, they tried to capitalize on the name of Freelancewriter and failed to do so. Since the company claimed to be located in the UK, I am sure that this company was based out of Middle East instead, as most of these academic writing companies are when claiming to be in the UK.

On the whole, I consider myself very lucky to have managed to get that email ID. In fact, the first time that I tried to register it, around 1998, it was unavailable. When I checked again in 1999 or 2000, it was available, so I grabbed it. For many years, I still got spam addressed, by name, to the woman who apparently used that AOL email address before relinquishing it about 25 years ago. The only downside is that, once in a while, I have to make sure that people know when comments about other websites (and email addresses) here have absolutely nothing to do with me.
