ELITE ESSAYS (eliteessays.co.uk) is a SCAM. Please do not give them your number as they will repeatedly harass/call you (they call from a LEEDS landline). I asked for part payments (they said they would add interest). The 'representative 'Shane O Conner' (conner@ eliteessays.co.uk) made many spelling mistakes and amateur errors in emails, despite having a very professional website. I asked for a sample and he sent me a LLM dissertation written by Denise Rosemary Nicholson, which is actually available on her linkedin page. He claimed to me that this was the work of one of their writers for a student. He sent me an invoice through paypal (after obtaining my email address) however the company name was Immaculate Consultancy INC. After a google search, I find out this company is set up in INDIA (Bangalore) and the person who owns the paypal account that i was meant to pay into, is the name of WASAT ULLAH. The funny part is, I asked for another sample which was more specific to my course and he copied and pasted something out of google and stuck it in a word document. Again he claimed one of his writers wrote it for a student.

SCAM SCAM SCAM. ELITE ESSAYS IS A SCAM. These guys are using insecurities of students to manipulate them and rob them of the small amount of money that they have.

It's possible that some ESL students may prefer work performed by ESL writers since it probably mirrors their own writing abilities more closely. Many times in the past, I've been asked to "dumb down" my writing for some ESL clients and I find myself constantly wondering if common words, terms and phrases are inappropriate or not to the requested level so it's actually more difficult for me to write these.

I wonder if the OP double checked the phone number. International phone numbers are available via VoIP so the LEEDS number could have actually originated from anywhere in the world. It is important to never make assumptions in this case. A phone number in the UK tends to lend validity to the company address claims. However, depending upon how the English conversation went with the client care person, I would have been able to judge if they were just paying for a rented UK based landline number or, if they were actually in the UK.

How can you tell if someone's in the UK by talking on the phone with them? Aren't there tons of immigrants from everywhere in the UK? How does that make sense?

Or are you saying you're from the UK? That way, maybe you could give them a geography quiz or something. Is that where your company operates?

The company has moved to the comfort and safety of Facebook for their company url. They exist only in the social media realm,, which makes me question their actual location and their writers skills. FB is not exactly known for being the home of totally reputable companies. Despite their community guidelines, some dark players still manage to get on board their platform.
