My experence with custompapers.com

If you're on this site I am sure you are shopping around for a good, honest site to write a paper, as was I a few months ago. After doing a lot of research it seemed like custompapers.com was the best choice. My subject was the no child left behind act and I was quoted around 200 dollars for my paper. It was a very rush paper. Price seemed a little high to me but the site looked very credible and I just had no time to do the paper. It was definitely cheaper than some UK services. I got the paper on time and that was about the extent of good things I have to say about them. I would say 20% of the paper was direct quotes, statistics, and just about anything but the writers own work. Much of the 7 pages I asked for was in footnotes that didn't really fit into the paper at all. There was also a very sad two sentence intro and no conclusion at all! Just kind of dived right in and dropped right off. I tried to clean the paper up as much as possible and turned it in and still failed. My teacher did give me a chance to redo it and gave me many suggestions while doing so. I sent custom papers her comments and asked them to redo the paper, cutting down direct quotes, and following my teachers comments. First they said they would be happy to do it for free.......but then a day later they sent me an email changing there mind, how nice!

So I ended up paying another 90 dollars for them to make changes. After getting the paper for the 2nd time I put them side by side to see all the changes they made, they cut about 4 of the direct quotes and pasted them into the footnotes, more footnotes. After emailing them saying they didn't follow my teachers comments at all and asking them to redo the paper again, they said they would be unable to follow my teachers comments without redoing the whole paper and they were unable to do that, but that's what a paid for! I complained a few more times after this and they just ignored my emails. They also have a passing grade money back guarantee, but claimed it was not there fault my paper failed and could not refund my money, some guarantee. I began to think about all this and in the time it took to research these sites and the many emails sent back and forth I bet I could of written two papers in that time. I believe after reading so many good things about this site and having them be a total rip off that pretty much all these sites are scams, just write your own papers and learn from my mistakes. Maybe it was because the paper was ordered too late and writer didn't have much time to complete it.

There are two sides to every story. We would have to see the paper and your exact, original specs.

pretty much all these sites are scams

That's not at all true.

Maybe they compared your original instructions with the new set of instructions and it turned out the new instructions were completely different?

Or they realized you tried to submit the paper for a grade as your own without appropriate references..

I wouldn't be surprised if that was one of the reasons.

I don't know anything about that company at all. All the sites I write for prohibit you from actually submitting their work as your own and expect students to use our work as a guide for your own writing. If we screw up an order by not following the specs, you always get a rewrite. If your rewrite request is based on stuff you never requested in your original order, it will be denied; same goes for rewrite requests based on "teachers' comments" because we're never allowed to do additional work on papers once we have actual knowledge or good reason to believe that the customer violated the TOS about not submitting our work for academic credit.

If the company you used has different rules and promises specific grades, that's a much different story and if they took more money to make specific changes they didn't fulfill, you have a legitimate complaint, obviously.

Hi vince123,

I was doing the same thing last week searching for a essay company to write my paper, as it is my first time and i didnt know what or which company is good.. and then i came across this website and apparently custompaper and another company (i 4got the name) was one of those that isnt a scam and quite a few ppl kept on saying that custompaper gives you top-notched paper.. and I've actually read at ur post last week (i searched up custompaper becoz by I wanna know what ppl think of custompaper..) but then.. I guess I've choose to ignore it becoz I was really desperate to have someone write my paper becoz I really dont have time! so I ordered my paper from custompaper and JUST in case I need to fix the paper up I ask them to deliver the paper earlier then the due date.. and hurray~ they send the paper on time!! JUST on time tho..

ANYWAYZZ~~ so I was happy and kinda excited to see the paper(lol i dunno why) and I opened up the attachment.. (my heart was pumping abit.. thinking.. finally my paper is done and I got nothing to worry abt.. ) and I started to read my essay...

....

Honestly.. my paper seemed good, but I thought it was exactly like vince123's paper.. 20% of the paper is quoting from sources, and I paid like $150 for it.. by the look of the essay I could do it myself, but it was not easy. just quote everything and hand it in! and I'll save myself some money!! Every 2 sentences theres a quote or citation!! luckily I've ordered my paper a day earlier so now I can fix my paper up becoz I knw if I hand this in I'm gonna fail like vince123, becoz what teacher will pass ur essay when the whole essay is jst quoting and copying?? Now I'm gonna fix my paper up before I hand it in tomorrow>< Oh and worse, sentences that are written by the writer thats not a quote.. And I cant post the essay here becoz my uni uses scan on our essay so jst in case I dont wanna post it here an then get busted! even tho I'm gonna change it.. anyway I cant be bothered getting a refund becoz I'm gonna change the essay (I'm not gonna risk failing) and also becoz I've read vince123's post it seems like getting a redo .. so yea..

Oh and at the start, the custompaper ppl give me a quick quote (not really I gotta wait for a day..) and they find me a writer really quickly.. and everything seems to go really well.. but once u get the essay............... I had to request a revision, which they thankfully did for free.

ok thats it! thats my experience from custompaper..

Every 2 sentences theres a quote or citation!!

This is standard academic writing. There shouldn't be direct quotes to often, but it is not uncommon for there to be a citation for almost every sentence of a well-researched academic essay. All facts have to come from somewhere, and these sources must be properly cited in the text. Essays are about using existing information to develop new ideas, which involves organizing the information in a way that makes an assertion. There is still a great deal of originality and thinking involved, otherwise you would have been able to write your own paper.

That's one reason I greatly prefer papers that require more emphasis on the analysis: I don't have the patience to string together so many ideas from other sources; in my opinion, that's more of a pain that just writing what you have to say. I tend to do more papers that allow intellectual creativity and independent analysis with appropriate citations for any factual material or conclusions that aren't mine. I try to stick to one or two necessary citations per paragraph and I almost never actually quote anything except legal statutes and stuff like that. Many times, I purposely avoid papers where the student specifies to use lots of direct quotes or I try to explain that all those direct quotes only make the paper worse instead of better because it looks like nothing but filler in place of actual writing.

Most of the orders I complete have almost no direct quotations, and I absolutely agree that writing original analysis is much easier and more fun, but there's also less work out there for it. I enjoy writing, but I'm in this industry for one reason and one reason only--it pays.

"mariopuff" (Emmy),

Student with an IdeaThanks for expressing your concerns. My name is Miriam, I'm a representative (salesperson) from CustomPapers.com. I've reviewed all of the model papers we sent to clients within the past two days that cost between $100 and $200. You see, we are very serious about quality control, and when we read about such problems as you have described, we look into them.

Based on your location (Australia), I was able to find the exact same model paper we sent to you (btw. you paid $120, not $150 for the paper).

What I found is that this model paper contained anywhere near 20% in direct quotes. In fact, out of 1,200 words, exactly seven (7) words were directly quoted. That is 0.05%, which is LESS THAN ONE PERCENT.

The rest of the model paper was written in the writer's own words, with proper APA-style citations any time she used information obtained from another source. As a side note, you asked us to use six (6) references, which we did, and each and every time one uses a source, one must cite that source.

It is your choice not to post the paper, but you should also understand that if you provide no actual proof to back up your accusation, we may be forced to show the proof to the public ourselves. Since you have made it clear that you will be significantly altering the model paper which we provided to you, there should be no risk in posting the paper.

Finally, it is regrettable that you didn't contact us directly so that we could help you resolve this situation. Vince123 aside (and please understand that the truth about his situation is far different than he has presented here), we work very hard to please our clients, and will indeed always correct any errors we make, for free.

Again, the model paper we have written and sent to you contained anywhere near 20% in direct quotes; it contained 0.05% in direct quotes, which is LESS THAN ONE PERCENT.

Because of this huge discrepancy, I encourage you to post the model paper which you received as a way to back up your claims, because just telling the other forum participants that this is the case does not make it true.

I also encourage you to email the company directly if you would like to resolve this issue.

Sincerely,

Miriam, CustomPapers.com

I used Custom Papers on 2 occasions. The first one a writer named "Orlando" wrote the paper and it was excellent. The next time I had someone named "Tom" write it and it was not as good. There were all kinds of very curious errors, which almost sounded like "Tom" was not even a native English writer. They are not a scam and do deliver the papers, but one of my friends also used the service and had a very negative experience. He placed and order for a very important paper, paid for it, and they never delivered it. I guess that the writer quit and the company did nothing to find another one or get the paper to my friend--he ended up having to drop the class it was for. They eventually refunded his money for the paper, but he still lost the thousand or so that he paid for the class.

I don't know--I've used three writing sites (Essaywriters.net, Elephant Essays, and Custom Papers), and Custom Papers is one of the better writing sites. I really don't like the CSR "Ericka," who seems very disinterested in helping out clients and sometimes argumentative. The last two papers I ordered they could not find writers for, and when I asked why she basically started an argument with me. I was blown away, because I was nothing but polite in all my emails. It's definitely a strange company with some good writers and CSRs, but also with some horrible writers and CSRs. I would probably give the site itself a 6 out of 10.

I have used custompapers.com and I got adequate marks on my first paper (I passed), I think some of their writers are really good, I don't want to reveal the name of the good writer or the bad writer (as I don't know it's allowed here), but it's really depends on the writer whether you get a good paper or a bad paper, and my requested writing style was "UK", so, sometimes they might not good for UK writing style unless you specify one.. and I selected Academic level as "university" and writing skills to "very good", but I think writing style of that writer was only good or the writer doesn't know how to write structured answers with arguments interconnected based on my textbooks with links I provided. It may seem strange that the custompapers.com has a option to select "UK" Style and they ask to make sure if I really wanted UK style. And just like all other services they use legal loopholes such as this provided document should be used only as a guidance and not to be submitted directly as our own work. But in my point of view they still have to provide a good quality paper that can be used as a proper guidance to get higher marks. And another thing is we have paid for a specified quality. What I have experienced is when they didn't follow at first one of my instructions properly and di mistakes such as I asked them to follow Harvard referencing when I order and after I receive the completed paper I saw that they didn't follow the Harvard referencing style.

When I ask them to correct those as I have clearly mentioned to follow that referencing and this texbook, they sent a email stating that it's considered as an additional work and will have to pay some extra because I didn't specify that I wanted to use all references I provided. I don't understand why the heck it is a additional work. And I have already paid including following the harvard referencing, so why should I pay more... but they fixed it for free. And another similar thing is, when I order I stated that the "conclusion" section of the paper should be one page long (about 300 words) but they gave me half page (about 200 words) and when I ask them to give me 300 words as I paid for it and as I clearly stated when I order, they sent a similar email that I have to pay for it as it's an additional work, how the hell it can be considered as additional work. Maybe they didn't follow some of the instruction on-purpose, and trying to charge you more for what you have already paid for. But I know there are some very good writers in custompapers.com since my friend recommended them. And they respond to quotes within 1-8 hours. When you make the payment they give you the email address of the writer, in case you want to talk to them. They send you the final document via the writers email address, I mean the writer who worked on your order send you your completed paper. And the average cost per single page is about $37.00. I don't say it's a lot because UK sites may charge 1.5 as much for the same quality, even though some of the papers they provide may not be on PhD level, unless you give them enough time or request a specific UK writer you worked with in the past. But they can be trusted to a certain amount as I think, because they have BBB accreditation and they are based in the US unlike others. It's just a business registration and I don't know it's more useful to people outside the USA or UK.

Hi guys, I've just graduated from college and I've been using Custompapers.com on several occasions. I'm not a "lazy student" - I had to use some assignments help after I had unexpected and long travel arrangements between two continents as I was an international student. Anyway, I was working with their customer service people, they are very helpful, especially Joanne and Brian. If you have a business project, Brian can also personally help you as he is an MBA and told me that he can take some "complex orders" if they cannot find another quality writer.

My advice is to give them all instructions when you fill out the form to make sure the writer who is interested in your order knows in advance all that the project entails. I had one situation when the customer service had to reassign my order to another writer because the original one decided he was unable to complete it after I sent additional requirements (they involved having access to two extra sources). On another occasion, I was not sure about the depth of the research, but after communicating with my writer, she was able to deliver what I expected. With relatively simple projects I didn't have to request revisions because they were completed well on the first time.

Their prices are fair compared to other services or freelancers that I know are based in the UK or US. I like the fact they deliver 300 words per page, or more. Others range from 200 to 275 words per page, so even if they seem cheaper, the real price is more expensive. With one rush order on PhD level, CustomPaper said they couldn't find an expert writer, so I had to do first draft on my own and later they revised it and make it "pretty." I'd recommend their editing service, they have a retired PhD who is very patient and knowledgeable. She edited / revised a final year thesis for my friend in the UK.

CustomPapers.com is one of the more reputable companies in the academic writing business. They have been around long enough to be called one of the legitimate companies around. They know their business very well and their writers are highly reliable. The experiences depicted here sound nothing like the way they do business. They bend over backwards to accommodate their client needs. What they always tells the clients though, is that the papers are models and should not be submitted for a grade. However, there are some clients who ignore that warning and submit the essay anyway. Which is why their writers, rather than writing a model paper, write new papers for the client, with as little citations as possible, so that the student, should he decide to submit the paper for a grade, can do so without worries. I do not believe the incidents told in this thread. I know some of their writers personally and I can attest to the hard work that they put into creating these papers for the clients they have.

I have been told that CP is one of the more reliable companies when it comes to paying their writers. They always pay fairly on a weekly basis. The price that the writer asks for is never questioned by the company and they do not ask the writers to discount their work when a client asks the writer to do so. They believe that the writer should name his price and they stick to it because only the writer knows the amount of work and effort that will be required to complete the paper. They protect their writers as best as they can.
