They claim to be London-based but don't list their ID numbers on their website as required, which is enough of a red flag not to even get into the other issues (webcopy, the usual bogus claims and promises, etc).

I checked their company number and it comes up with some address in Cheshire but on their website they say they are in London. It also says Proposal to Strike off which started to concern me.

Maybe we're looking at different sites, because I didn't see any Company House number at all.

I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that it has to be posted on the homepage of any business website. The fact that they're hiding it under the "about us" tab and that you've found it marked "proposal to strike off" makes me wonder what's going on, but from other signs it's all but certain that this site's a scam.

I am beginning to agree with you. I sent them an email expecting a response tomorrow morning which is normal for real companies but they just responded at this time of night. To stay safe I also asked them if I could have a sample of the 3000 word paper I would like and they said this would disrupt the flow of the work which has further raised my suspicions that they will just take my money and give nothing in return

They'll probably send you something in return, but it probably won't be worthwhile.

I think i would rather give them a miss then. Company numbers can go anywhere though and the proposed strike off makes me think they have done this as they want to avoid paying tax and start all over again with a new number

Im not asking for recommendations but just comments

- Comments are equivalent to recommendations. If you read enough positive words about the company, you will tend to seriously consider hiring the services right? So the comment turns into a recommendation. Negative comments will make you shy away from hiring them. So it still works as a recommendation. Negatives means no sign up, positive means sign up. Don't try to use word play to get around the rules of the forum.

Imperialessays.co.uk struck off/dissolved 9 July 2013. Plenty of other good UK essay writing companies available to help students wanting a writer qualified and well-versed in UK law.

The company url is still offline so we can be sure that the domain name has not been resold as of today. Which is a good thing because the company really had a bar reputation that would have hounded whoever bought the domain name. It is more than likely that the name cannot be sold because the reputation of the company as a scam is well known in the industry and will prevent any actual bidders from gaining any interest in acquiring the name.

I still vouch for a personal writer. Even though it is hard to obtain one, I think a student should try it out. My years of writing, I have developed a viable link with some few good students, and chat is often smooth and easy. Sites do provide good services, but not consistent, as you will not be able to talk to the outsourced writer in person. I recommend personalized writer because you will be able to communicate about materials and other relevant stuff, which you cannot talk about in the site. Unlike websites, you can pay your personal writer later, especially in the event you don't have cash.

@Dissertation07
Just make sure your chosen freelance writer concentrates on a subject in which he/she is qualified and has an appropriate qualification. If someone claims to write competently on diverse subjects ranging from Economics to Dentistry give them a wide berth.
