If you paid by credit card you should contact your card issuer and ask them to do a chargeback.

Hi month, If you paid through 2CO, you can email them straight away and explain that you know ivy dissertations are fraud company. I had the same experience last month with another company (cannot think of name at the moment) 2CO had already taken money from my card but i told them to cancel order as i heard in the local news about this fake company, that same day i got a refund. The best site from my own experience at the moment is custompapers.com. Good luck kim x

I used IVY thesis recently and not only did they send me a paper copied and pasted from other sources, it was the wrong paper all togeather! After I complained to them about the paper, they sent me a 'revised' paper on the correct subject, but again it was a simple copy and paste from 1 or 2 different websites. A simple google search revealed they didn't even attempt to change the writing from the original websites. When I complained to Ivy, they sent me a 'revised' paper that was exactly the same as the first, but now it has misspelled words and words used in the wrong context, throughout the paper. I complained again, and they sent the exact same paper without any revisions made. After that point, they stopped responding to my e-mails. I contacted 2CO thismorning for a refund; let's see what happens.

i too have been scammed by ivy dissertations.......very gutted!!!! not only did i receive the paper late, but it had absolutley nothing to do with the topic and criteria i sent in. getting hold of them for a revision is a total waste of time. there site does not allow correspondence when you query using the refrence number they gave you...

I've used custompapers.com before and they were good - the paper quality was okay and they kept to the deadline. They also seem to be good on fast turnaround papers and you can deal directly with your writer (I asked mine if she could write my paper sooner and she did).

I've not used customessays.co.uk before - I looked up their details and they say on their website that they are based in Sheffield but whois says the registrant is based in London and yet the domain was registered by an Australian IT company; they may be perfectly okay but I get nervous when it looks as though they may be operating through a string of accommodation addresses.

Other UK companies that I've used that have been fine are ukessays.com and oxbridgeessays.com - both are pricier than custompapers so I guess it all depends what your budget is and whether you think a UK / US writer is most suited to your topic. Most topics are international - doesn't much matter where the writer is if they have access to electronic databases - but sometimes you need a' local' writer such as for law essays, or perhaps something where local knowledge would be important.

In my opinion Custom essays.co.uk are to be avoided. It looks like they are an ESL company operating from India / Pakistan, although they claim to be UK based.

customessays.co.uk is located in Ukraine, despite what they claim on their site. It's the same scam artists from MasterPapers.com.

This is why customers should NEVER pay any Web site with a bank transfer! Fraudulent companies like EssayRelief just LOVE irreversible bank transfers.

Call your bank right away and ask if the bank can somehow cancel or reverse the transfer.

1. Complain to their registrar, dotster.

2. Post a new complaint at essayfraud/forum/index.php?showforum=16

3. Complain to their advertising outlets, "Yahoo Search Marketing" (searchmarketing.yahoo) and "Google Adwords" (adwords.google.com). If the Pakistani crooks can't advertise Ivy Dissertations, they can't defraud people.

I have been defrauded by ivy dissertation too, £500 for a dissertation which was absolute crap. I ws promised a refund of £250 last nov and am still waiting. I bug them all the time, emails phone on line. They may have got away with my money but I have the satisfaction of annoying them every other day.

I ordered from IVY. And for one of them i recieved a letter from my uni saying plagerism is involved. when i check out the journal that it was ment to be plagerised from i realised my essay is 100% word for word copy. Now i am waiting for them to send me more letters saying that my other two have plagerism issues. If this happens than i am another chump that IVY has well and truely ****** up the ass. Con men dont care who they con or how many lives they ruin. I hope one day they will die a horible horible death. I called them up and they say that this wont happen and its just a one off and that if it happens often then they wont be in business. Upon information and belief, they (EssayRelief.com, IvyDissertations.com, OriginalThesisWriting.com, etc.) search for the customer's topic in Google. They then steal any document(s) that is close to the customer's requested topic and deliver it to the customer as "custom writing." They often embed cyrillic characters throughout the .doc file so that when the customer does a search in Google for a string of text, Google shows "No match." I have extended evidence in my possession, and there are dozens of similar complaints around the Internet about this particular group of Pakistani sites.

My university E plagiarism detection software picked it up and informed me by letter. I realised that they actually copied it word for word from that journal. From your opinion it is very likely that every single one of their essays will be picked up by the software?

Plagiarism detection tools are capable of picking up on copy pasted sections of any paper that is submitted to them. So it is important that these sections are either rephrased or rewritten, with proper citation, so that the detection software can get past it. The degree of this detection happening is higher when an AI is used to write or research any sort of paper.

How can @formerstudent say that the company is still doing the same thing today when Ivy Dissertation seems to have gone out of business some time ago? Does this mean that you are a writer who actually knows that the company is still existing but under a different name? If that is so, then do the right thing and warn the students here. Give us the new company name so the students can avoid dealing with them in the future.

Sorry, by "they" I meant "them" in general (ie. unscrupulous essay services).

While you don't have to worry about AI writing getting flagged for traditional "plagiarism," for reasons I've explained in other recent threads, I don't believe there's really any way to "rewrite" AI essays to produce a good academic essay. You can't rewrite an essay that says nothing (or almost nothing) substantive without actually doing all the research from scratch, even if it says nothing (or almost nothing) in (mostly) correct grammar and sentence structure. That's also how professors recognize AI writing.

These are factual information coming from you. I have asked students to try and ask AI to give them their resources information and properly format the page in terms of expected writing formats, AI failed to do both. Then I asked the student if, based on that sample, he could finally understand why AI is simply never to beat a paper written by the student himself, or a writer hired to complete the work. The human factor is of huge importance in developing class papers these days. Teachers are on to the AI wave and know how to spot an AI written paper when submitted by the student. I do not know which is worse, plagiarism, or AI written papers. Whichever, it is the student who will pay the price in the end.

In my experience as an essay-company writer sometimes taking projects consisting of rewriting or entirely redoing projects originally provided by bad (usually ESL) writers. The one thing that they often did correctly was format essays and cite sources in the requested citation style, all while actually saying absolutely nothing or almost nothing substantive (let alone original and/or analytical) on the essay topic. Bad academic writers (including many students who write their own essays), often actually correctly format them to "look" like a good essay, as long as you don't read them, because they're entirely devoid of any substantive content. I'd imagine that AI programs do this, too, much the same way that Jack Nicholson (as Jack Torrence, in The Shining, 1980) was discovered by his horrified wife to have typed up hundreds of perfectly formatted book pages whose content was just one sentence ("All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy") repeated thousands of times in pages that looked good, as long as you didn't read any of the content.
