Hello all respected forum members,

I was wondering if any of you have heard of a company called manuscriptservices.co.uk? I have run checks on the domain name and mailing address and it seems legit; nonetheless, I was wondering if anyone has had any firsthand experience with them?

A google search on the company name hasn't revealed much information.

Thanks,

EssayMan

I've seen their website but have not actually used them - don't know anyone who has but on the upside I haven't seen anything online that is bad about them either!

If you go ahead with them then post what you think - I'd be interested to hear some feedback.

Book ManuscriptHave just paid for my order and money has been debited from my account.

They require two pieces of proof during the payment stages; a scan of the front of your debit / credit card and a copy of a utility bill for address verification.

I have provided both and the online project status tells me that the information is being verified.

Note though that I have just discovered that manuscriptservices.co.uk also run and operate the following domain name: ukessay.co.uk, which does have me a tad worried.

Have called the phone number on two separate occasions but was deferred to answer phone both times.

Will keep everyone posted,

I'm interested to hear how this turns out. I just looked at the website of ukessay.co.uk (another company I've never used) and they say if you are outside the UK to use custom essay who claim to be based in Toronto; customessay.com do get a mention on essayfraud which you might want to take a look at:

OK, things seem to have taken a turn for the worse.

Numerous more phone calls to the company have yielded no response.

Also, the company used to take my payment, citysprite.co.uk, show the same mailing address as used on the manuscriptservices.co.uk and ukessay.co.uk website. Note that the phone number on the citysprite site also yields no response.

I will wait until the due deadline of Monday, December 11 at 21:21 PM; if nothing is received I will dispute the transaction with my bank.

Is manuscriptservices.com owned by the same people as manuscriptservices.co.uk?

I hope you get your paper Essayman but as you paid with a credit card you should be covered anyway.

Good luck :)

Well, thought it was about time for an update.

I got my order from the writer on Sunday, 36 hours ahead of schedule which I have to say was v. impressive. In quality they were comparable to Custompapers.com.

Have requested some amendments which are currently being undertaken, but all in all everything seems to be in order.

Regards and thanks for all the input,

I just got on as a writer with manuscript writing, but have not done a project yet. They required me to sign a form and mail it to them in the UK prior to me being able to write for them. They did receive it a week later, which gives one positive note; they actually do have an address in the UK.

Looks positive so far to being a ligit company.

What kind of form did you have to sign?

Just a terms and agreement form. Basically just saying that my work will be 100% custom with no plagiarism, and that I'm not an employee of the company, but contracted as a freelancer. It was fairly basic, and nothing like what I had heard with other companies where you're liable for 50 ro 60% of all previous earnings for one slip up.

[Moved from]: Anybody who can give me unbiased remarks or review about Manuscript Services?

Due to the numerous essay-writing scams over the Net, I have now become cautious and anxious at the same time. I am looking for foolproof sites wherein I could contribute essays to. I've seen customessays.co.uk and was unimpressed with their poor customer service (it's not true they're available 24/7). Likewise I was disappointed with writers.ph, which obviously is NOT a Philippine-based company, contrary to what their website suggests. I tried applying for *****, too. Unfortunately I did not meet their qualifications as I'm not a resident of UK. The remaining company in my list is Manuscript Services, and before I give it utmost attention I would want to know if it's a legitimate and good-paying company. Hope to get responses soon! Thanks.

They were an honest company to work fir until they got taken over by something called EssayFirst.

That's a typical essay scam company that cheated me out of 208 pounds. As I've said many times, it's one of the reasons I got out of the writing business--too many crooks like these.

This is interesting, since it shows the name Manuscript Services has already been sold more than once.

During the time I worked for them, they were honest and always paid at the end of the month with no problems. Then they got taken over by some outfit called EssayFirst and I lost 208 pounds that month.

It's too bad that there are so many scammers out there, but that's just the way it is. It's one reason I got out of this writing business--been burned too many times.

Well, pasta fazooo, wassa matter for you?

Unlike most of the others on here, I work for no company, represent no company, and have no clients, so I have no hidden agenda or ulterior motives.

I'm like Harry Truman, I don't give 'em hell, I just tell the truth and they think it's hell.

Several companies tried to burn me over the years, but found that I play hardball. Only one failed to cough up in the end, and I made sure that they suffered for it.

They ran away and hid on the DND list here after I got through with them.

I wanted to check out what writers and buyers had to say about the validity of all these zillions of companies and it has me shocked that only two companies out of all the ones you had ever worked for, didn`t rip you off . May I ask how many that is out of?

I have provided both and the online project status tells me that the information is being verified.

You have provided them with too much private information that could be used against you in the future. All the bank and credit card companies will tell you that you need not present additional ID's to prove your card ownership. The presentation of the signed card is more than enough to verify your identity. It is up to the bank or credit card company to inform you if your car was fraudulently used. Not the other way around.

The last time I ran a check on this url, which was a few minutes ago, it appeared to be offline. The domain name is now only connected to writing services but does not actually engage in the business online anymore. I have no idea how or why this happened since there is very little information to be found about this company online, even in cached form. I guess the students should consider themselves lucky that these company seem to be cancelling themselves for some reason. Maybe it is true that the academic writing business is being phased out by the emerging writing technologies.
