So nobody sued anybody? What a letdown. After all that buildup, I was expecting a massive thread of courtroom drama to follow. Instead, I got crickets. Just as I thought, the loud and attention seeking writers here do not have what it takes to actually take one another down. They all talk big but fall flat when their bluff is called. What a waste of thread space. Next time, somebody better follow through. Empty threads mean nothing in this business. Either follow through or shut up.

I think you mean, "empty threats." Freudian slip, I'm guessing.

While some of these websites remain active today, I do not encourage anybody to hire the services of those companies. The first reason is because the mother company is located in Pakistan, meaning their English levels will not be up to the international standards. The second reason, is that these may be scam companies in disguise. Pakistan is not exactly known for being on the level when it comes to dealing with their clients, regardless of the business. It is always best to stay away from the writing companies known to be holding office in that region of the world. You already know that you are asking for trouble if you hire them, so do the right thing and avoid working with them. You have been warned so it is up to you to protect yourself from this point on.

Agreed.

The first reason is because the mother company is located in Pakistan, meaning their English levels will not be up to the international standards.

Agreed. Usually, that's obvious, just from their website copy. Unfortunately, I've learned from this forum (and from some of my customers who only found me after already having been ripped off) that many prospective customers aren't that good at recognizing some of the signs of horrible ESL writing that any professional NES writer (and any professor) would consider extremely obvious.

The second reason, is that these may be scam companies in disguise. Pakistan is not exactly known for being on the level when it comes to dealing with their clients, regardless of the business.

Agreed. In general, it's always much safer to use providers located in countries with functional criminal justice systems; and nothing is safer than using providers in countries with functional criminal justice systems who will also disclose their complete identification information that can be confirmed independently.
