Hi
Im hoping someone may be able to offer some advice on how to claim money back from Oxbridge essays. I paid for a piece of work to be finished off, and sent them a part completed assignment including reference list. I asked for 2:2 standard, however the work i have received is no where near a 2:2, it is constructed with broken English, poor grammar and no in text or end text references!. To top all this off, the order arrived late. I submitted an alterations request, of which none of the alterations were carried out, and they added random in text references to the work of which didn't make any sense! They had basically taken my requested references and 'plonked' them any where and didn't include them in the reference list! I have raised these issues with Oxbridge essays and they are disputing the fact that this piece is not of 2:2 standard and that if if required further alterations to it it would take it to a 2:1 level and therefore i would need to pay more money! I stated that the writer had not used any references and Oxbridge replied stating that the reference list was attached, which was basically the reference list i had constructed for the work 'I' had carried out and submitted as part of my order request. I believe i have been scammed, and have had enough now of arguing with them. Has anyone any advice or had any dealings with this company and have you managed to claim your money back?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am new to this forum and I need help with 3 essays. I took quotes from few companies and have already short-listed 4. The Oxbridgeessays prices are very high and they claim to be the best company in the country. Is that the case???

Oxbridge will take your money and deliver a steaming pile of s-i*.
Hi fellow students, i have been through this mess a couple of times, next time would any of you consider the services of individual freelance writers? I bet you will be satisfied, it has helped me a lot.
Emma: Read other posts here, Oxbridge doesn't even pay their writers. Their writer portal has been consistently offline. I don't even know who would be writing your paper.

Amon: More than one company uses the word "Oxbridge." As far as I know they're all s-i*, but I don't believe they're all Hala's s-i*.
Yah! From reading the posts here about Oxbridge even though they are unproved allegations no one under the sun can convince me as a student to risk my money there. Hell no! I'd rather stick to the personalized services of my two freelance writers than have my paper written from any of the Oxbridge companies.

You're not fooling anyone, you failed con-artist.
Thank you for the advice, much appreciated. I did go through many posts on this website however I couldn't identify any academic company with 100% positive feedback. Anyway I have already booked my order with one of the London based firms which I initially short listed. It isn't Oxbridge essays as I found them ridiculously expensive.
I initially needed help with three essays, but I only paid for one.I'll get my essay on this weekend, so figures crossed. If I'm happy I'll prob choose the same company for my other essays as well :)
Oxbridge Essays indeed take their lessons from marketing. Lesson 1: make promises and guarantees and do not abide by them after the customer gets it in the shorts good and hard. There is absolutely no truth to their claims that their writers are Ph.D. graduates who have published in their own right. Lesson 2: make sure you charge a whole lot more than anyone else so the customer, i.e. sucker, will assume that they won't be paying for a steaming mound of human refuse. Lesson 3: make sure getting a refund is in fact impossible after the customer realizes that they had gotten screwed good and hard. Lesson 4: make sure you screw each individual customer at least once and make them pay a very high price for it.
A while ago I stupidly used Oxbridge essays, paid £300 and got a load of **** sent back to me, and i mean total nonsense. the writer refused to do any alterations unless there was more money, they promised another writer but surprise, suprise it never came through. Fortunately though I had email messages as proof of our agreement and got a refund through the bank some time later. Anyone who's been dumb enough to use them, you can get a refund, they're weak con-artists that buckle as soon as a real effort for a refund is made, you can get a refund but obviously don't use them is my argument.
Hi! I have a problem with Oxbridge as well. Did you get the money back. the quality of work is very terrible. I would like to fefund. If you want to take them to the court please let me know.

Why is there so much incivility on this forum? I've read dozens of comments such as this.
Can't we be nice to each other?
hmmm tough....
I would give them a chance BEFORE starting a chargeback.
As a writer myself I know sometimes communication can be an issue. But as a client I know I would want my money back. So I think middle ground is the best thing.
Give them a chance, and THEN go for a chargeback.

You are absolutely right. This could be a (better) community.

This is a better community given all the members are serious and focused. The problem is most of the many members on this forum come with their hidden agendas which is to promote a specific company.
It appears that nothing will happen even if the student gives the company and its writer a chance. Since they didn't get it right the first time, it is safe to assume that they will never get it right. So it would have only been eight for him to have started a chargeback claim either through a stop on the credit card payment or a formal refund request through the company or Paypal. If the student used a debit card, then the refund will be next to impossible.
As this post proves, the company is incapable of delivering the required grades. How can they when they are not a UK based company and they never clarified how they chose the "academic specialist in various fields"? It is clear that they are trying to mislead students with the name that they are using since they never allow their location to be mentioned anywhere on the page. They at least specifically indicate that the only UK students that are qualified to use their services are those who live Wales or Scotland, but that is not the same as telling the students where the actual location is. I do not believe that they employ UK educated writers at all. There is nothing they have said in their website that could convince me of such claims. They only say what they know the clients wish to read and quite possibly, get them the job.
